Call it damning with fat praise . . .

After Sgt. James Crowley did a good job at his post-beer press conference, a condescending Chris Matthews—apparently surprised that a policeman could handle himself well in such a situation—said "I think we've got our Susan Boyle here."

Here's how Matthews ended the post-Crowley press conference kibitzing on the 7 PM edition of Hardball:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: I have to tell you: well I feel like we're watching "Britain's Got Talent," here.  We'll be right back with Mark Whitaker and Roger Simon here on the Politics Fix.  We've got our Susan Boyle here.

Joe Biden got raked over the coals during the primaries for calling Obama "articulate." Odds that Matthews undergoes the same kind of criticism for being surprised a cop spoke well in public?

Actually funny coming from

Actually funny coming from him, didn't he used to be a Capitol Hill officer of some type?

That was before he became a grand man of the MSM aristocracy.

LOL Mark ...silly me...how dare I not recognize that delusion in his mind!

bt,

Matthews used to work for Tip O'Neill back when he ws actually sane.

He then wrote a couple of (I thought) pretty balanced books.

LOL-Then he apparently had a secret basement lobotomy, and hasn't been right since.

He used to at least be

He used to at least be somewhat balanced with his reporting on msnbc...after the Clinton Episode he changed, he also quit drinking somewhere along the line too, so it has been said...maybe he needs a beer or two.

Could have something to do with the change at the top too...Nachman ran msnbc pretty good once he got in as far as I was concerned, slowly but surely...some sanity was coming back to the network, plus Olbie and Geraldo were gone, Soledad O'Brien as well, some others, just can't think of them at the moment...oh well, after Nachman was gone, it's been down hill ever since in my opinion.

RIP Jerry Nachman, I miss you.

Could've been worse-but of

Could've been worse-but of course Chrissy did not disappoint.

I used to watch his (and Olby's show) for years.  As a conservative they didn't bother me a bit and I still believe they were very balanced back then.  But as the last election cycle came up they became increasingly Libtardish and irrational and I just couldn't take them anymore.

In fact, I also watched Scarborough Country  and Buchanan and Press religiously when they were on.  However, MSNBC lost a loyal viewer when they went overboard in favor of the Democrats.  Bias is OK in journalism if they don't hide it as far as I'm concerned, and I would like to hear RATIONAL takes on how they see things from the Other Side...but I just can't handle these jackals.

Fortunately there was Fox News, but it took me a while to 'discover' them.  Wonder when they'll start messing up?

One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 61% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory (yep...approval for Congress now at 39%...do you believe that!?).

Does Chris Matthews ever watch himself on TV?

-Dave

What about the AFL-CIO

 How about that AFL-CIO connection?

I know there is no great fondness of unions here, how do you feel about Crowley giving his post beer press conference from  AFL-CIO headquarters?

Why not Jeb Bush?

I'm not sure how that's

I'm not sure how that's relevant.  I was concerned about the actions of the men that night and they're past as related to the incident.  Where Crowley gave a press conference is unimportant.

Its not relevent

Its irony.  I notice Hannity negected to mention the fact while showing the press conference :)

Why not Jeb Bush?

nw... It bothered me

nw...

It bothered me right off the bat.

I posted some of what I thought about his statements after I got to sit back down here on OT...and I did forget about that.

...after-all though, Crowley is a liberal.

Never mind

I have a good friend named Shawn. I have never let my friendship with him be compromised by you having the same name; although I considered it.

jdlybrand condescends to Matthews:

"I think Obama has his Crack-Whore here"

"What a revoltin' development this is!"

Whenever I see police

Whenever I see police officers on tv I'm impressed by how well and precisely they speak.  Can't say the same for Matthews, who often seems to have spittle spewing from his mouth.

R1979,

Side affects from the lobotomy.  :-)

The irony of Chris commenting on an issue with racial overtones

I make a point of NEVER watching Chris Matthews – it would be a profound violation of my principles.  Accordingly I am wondering, after this tasteless remark on top of many others, if Chris is even capable of being gracious to someone who does not align favorably with his bigotry and profiling predilections?

- Relying upon the State Run Media for your information is like relying upon an embezzler to manage your portfolio.

So now Chris is calling

Crowley an idiot savant?

What would that make the other three?

She Bangs

"I think we've got our Susan Boyle here."

This coming from Chris Matthews - the William Hung of the news world.

If you lighten Susan's hair a bit

Chrissy could be her identical twin sister!

Where is it we find "Crowley is a liberal"?

More rank and file union members are Coservatives and not Liberals.

They may have to belong to unions but they don't have to think like their leaders.

My guess is the union paid his way to and from DC. The picked up the family at the airport, took them to the WH, then back to the union hall, from which he went back to the airport.

Just a guess, but I'll bet dollars to donuts the union was paying the freight.

Delsa... I think I've

Delsa...

I think I've heard Crowley say he supports Obama 110%. I have heard reports that he voted for him.

Therefore I take it he is a liberal.

I support Crowley in all this from the beginning, so don't get me wrong, the only person in the group today that should have made a statement and apologized was Obama....he started this all...this was already a settled matter in Cambridge before all of this.

I heard Crowley say something like

that as well but I thought it was a qualifier like

I support the president 110% but he fouled up on this one.

If he voted for the prig the last time, I bet he won't again. lol

By the way, I'd never take you wrong.

How could I, you are right!

→ 110% support

110% support is another of those silly pronouncements that needs to go.

It's out there with "added bonus"

Hope is an excuse for doing nothing - Rush Limbaugh

Or . . .

Like ''Unrealistic Leftist''.

Yes, he said that but he

Yes, he said that but he also said he didn't vote for Obama in 2008. Of course, maybe he voted for the Green Party candidate or didn't vote for president at all, for whatever reason. Maybe he wrote in Ron Paul. Maybe he voted for McCain. Who knows?

But he did say in an interview that he didn't vote for Obama.

A Typical Liberal Assumption, Based On Total Ignorance

That police officers are mentally challenged is the oldest stereotype in the liberal book. Liberals, of course, don't have any contact with cops, so they don't know what cops are really like. Just like everything else liberals know nothing about yet offer arrogant - condescending - opinions. Chris Matthews is a blowhole and does a good job of speaking for his cronies.

Hey Chrissy...

CKFU OYU.

That is all.

Be nice to Matthews, he's a "special" child. He drinks Shirley Temples. in his nightgown.

Man-Crush

A keeper video:

Pawlenty Knocks MSNBC's Matthews Over Obama 'Man-Crush': http://www.realclearpolitics.com

It's that homoeroticism thing again. Expect more of it from Martha's Vineyard where the liberal media will be fighting for pictures of the Bamster like the paparazzi fighting over Britney Spears.

Regarding Matthews

''We've got our Presidential Fluffer here.''

Total and Complete Arrogance

I think that Chris, KO, Maher and many more are beyond smug.  They actually believe, without any doubt in their minds, that they are smart and pretty much everybody else is dumb.  I honestly believe that these idiots are sociopathic in some sense - they just don't have any shame or guilt, never look back and never apologize when they are mistaken.  When Maher was calling the USA dumb the other day, he meant it and he has no doubt in his mind that it's true. The smugness just drips off the man and it stinks to high heaven.  Why would anyone hire these freaks?

Darn Straight

HER NAME is CHRISSY!

Sometimes you must rearrange a face

I would love to see someone beat the living crap out of Chris matthews.  Snarky little bitch that he is. Little pompous, left wing jackass.  Is it really a shock that the media elitists would find it odd that a normal everyday American had intelligence? To them average Americans are scum, stupid rednecks who need to be forced into correction by the government. These nazi's have contempt for the average man. I would not piss on matthews to save him from dehydration.
