I'm still stunned by the naivete of the Obama camp, claiming that they were deceived when Richardson wasn't fully forthcoming about the matter. But, as every logic student knows ...

• If he is an ethical problem, he'd deny it
• If he isn't an ethical problem, he'd deny it

Either way, you can't rely on his own measure of his ethical standard. That's why you have a vetting process. You don't take his word for it, you gather evidence and investigate independently.

In turn, the media have done exactly the same thing. They haven't vetted Obama, much as Obama didn't vet Richardson. The Obama team relied on a lengthy questionnaire to proclaim how stringent the process was, but it appears they did little else.

Obama sets the assumptions for the media. The media perceive everything through those assumptions, without review. When reality conflicts with the assumptions, the media scrambles to explain it away. This is how GroupThink works. Textbook case.

When someone leaves Bush's administration it's a sign of Bush's ego and inability to work with people. When people leave Obama's administration it's not as important as his dreamy voice talking about a scrapbook.

Someone needs to tell PEBO there are worse kinds of moving happening this very moment. Your stuff gets put on the curb, a sheriff comes, you slink to an apt financially ruined. Surely he can stand up to moving into luxurious govt housing complete with servants and all the lobster he can eat. Is he selling that Rezko-subsidized property or will it be his Crawford ranch, sans brush to heave around.

Of course 0bama choked up leaving his Hyde Park house.  All that work he and the Rezko's did to get it in the first place, all for nothing now.

As far as Richardson goes, when did the investigation start - before or after he dumped Hillary and endorsed 0bama?

They don't dare expose the real reason for Richardson's departure, as it would highlight the fact that his appointment to Commerce Secretary, a very important and visible position, had progressed to the point it did, even though he has been under investigation since August.

This whole affair calls into serious question the competence of the PEBO people, therefore, the public relations arm of the future Obama Administration, the MSM, must bury it no matter what.
