I'm looking for the first MSM wag who will have the gumption to suggest that Rod Blagojevich, the Dem Illinois governor accused of trying to sell Barack Obama's Senate seat, should have put it on Ebay.
Suggested MSM defense of Blago: hey, even with the bailouts, car czars and other government intervention in the economy, we're still trying to encourage the free market system, aren't we? If it was good enough for Sarah Palin and the Alaksa governor's plane, why shouldn't Blago have been entitled to test the market to see what a Senate seat is worth? ;-)
There could be a place yet for Blago in the Obama administration: a new cabinet position as Secretary of Innovative Entrepreneurship, perhaps?

December 9, 2008 - 11:44 ET by krendlerFrom the AP story:
"Under the plan, Blagojevich would appoint a new senator who
would be helpful to the president-elect and in turn get a job as
head of Change to Win, a group formed by the union. The union would
get an unspecified favor from Obama later.
Nothing in the court papers suggested Obama had any part in the
discussion."
Hmmmm....So the union was to get an unspecified favor from Obama later? Ummmmmmm......How could that have been arranged WITHOUT Obama being involved? Magic?
Something tells me Keith Olbermann won't be spending a lot of time on this question tonight :-).

December 9, 2008 - 11:49 ET by KC MulvilleThe first question in a bribe is whether the recipient might be open to the offer.
Rezko, Blago ... both proceeded on the assumption that Obama wouldn't turn it down. Does that count as proof of anything? No, of course not. And frankly, I honestly hope that Obama is not a crook. But the media should pay heed: when you're a fireman, and you see smoke ...

BTW - blago's seat is up for grabs on e-bay now too http://cgi.ebay.com/...

Somebody help me out here...
December 9, 2008 - 13:55 ET by PewahI have to admit ignorance about Blagojevich and his past. Can somebody please explain to me how somebody this corrupt, inept and absolutely filthy-mouthed, was able to become the governor of Illinois?
I have been making sincere efforts to find the good in Obama lately, but it seems to me that anybody that spawned out of the same Democratic political cesspool in Chicago as Blagojevich was could not have made it to the top echelon there without having played ball. You cannot swim in sewage and come out of it pristine.
Pewah...How did someone like Blagojevich become governor?
December 9, 2008 - 14:04 ET by PrairieSkyBeats the "H" out of me....
But one could also say the same thing about Obama...How did someone lacking any real experience, with the long list of questionable associations that he has and a demonstrated history of a lack of good judgement, get to be president of the United States???
