this false mentality of "preference for the poor" which permeates not only governments but also churches.  America (and apparently Great Britain) is bad because we are affluent.  Therefore, we deserve to die.  I wonder what nationality Harry Smith thinks he is.  Citizen of the world who obviously isn't rich in his $2000 suit?

Christ came to call ALL men, rich and poor.  Salvation is universally available.  Likewise, our government should serve ALL Americans.  The Nanny state looks to level the playing field, spread the wealth, punish the rich, etc.  We've crossed the threshold from being fooled by these socialists (Carter, Clinton) to embracing them as a political good.  Harry just inadvertently let it slip.

Why is anyone surprised that liberals loathe America, and support any cause that seeks to weaken, dilute or destroy traditional American culture.

Smith would certainly be saddened if a group of American homosexual activists were killed. He would have been saddened if a group of American pacifist protesters were killed. He would be saddened if a group of American atheists were killed. He would have been saddened if a group of American radical feminists were killed. He certainly would have been saddened if a group of illegal aliens living in America were killed. 

However, he is saddened that no white, wealthy, American capitalists were killed. What a shame.  

 Smith's slip is a window into the thinking and soul of today's liberals.

Sadly he doesn't listen to himself as he speaks. I understand his point was innocent bystanders were killed. BUT those targeted were innocent as well. It was a bloody attack on unarmed civilians. Everyone killed was an innocent bystanders in a global war on terror. 

I wonder if it's connected to the Indian war with the pirates? Reports are still fuzzy and there needs to be a motive. No crime is committed without a motive.

     If what he said is in context then I am thouroghly disgusted with CBS.  Also, I recommend that you watch this whole clip becuase they talk about how Pres. Elect Obama is right on how to deal with Kashmir.

So now terrorists think they can take out specific targets without collateral damage by using their same old explosives and automatic gun-fire? Terrorists tend to do one thing very well: blow stuff up. Blowing stuff up isn't rocket science, and they way they make bombs they make them big enough to do the job in a spectacular fashion...which is most certain to produce significant collateral damage. (Their use of automatic weapons is a waste as they usually don't have proper marksmanship skills...spraying automatic gunfire in hopes that it'll hit someone is just a simple waste of ammunition whilst making a lot of noise).

Since when did terrorists think they could set off bombs in an international hotel and hope they would only kill Americans and Britons? I thought terrrorism wasn't about individual victims, but rather the "statement" or message the terrorists want to convey. They don't care about the innocent bystanders...they've never cared about killing innocent bystanders--even if they are their own children. 

So according to Harry (and the terrorists from their claims) this episode wouldn't be tragic if only the "intended" targets were eliminated? Give me a break! The terrorists are paying lip-service to the "hate America" and "down with the bourgeoisie" crowd.

I hope the terrorists are happy now, they have singlehandedly reduced/dried up the injection of British and American (and other countries) money from the tourists that would have visited there. People that work in the hotel/hospitality/tourism industry will lose their jobs and the area will be poorer as a result. Isn't that the number one things they hate us for (other than being infidels of course)...our being wealthier than they are?

The loony liberal medias worst nightmare. Terrorism
they can't blame on George Bush.

They initially tried to downplay it. A primitive
attack with automatic weapons and a few hand grenades. CNN even marched out the
guest that basically said the poor disenfranchised youth are easy to recruit
because in short WE have done this to them. I'm sure we'll find out that these
guys are middle class well educated dudes. But that doesn't stop the loons from
trying to pin the blame on the USA.

Krazy Keith didn't even deem this terror attack
worthy of much coverage and even warned of the evil GOP using this as part of
there policy of FEAR.

So far I have heard about 15 civilians killed during the counter attacks, and if this had been US forces the media would have been screaming about how evil they were and how innocent civilians were killed not by the terrorist actions, but the US.
