My NewsBusters colleagues, and conservatives across the blogosphere, are sure to be vying to document the most outrageous examples of the MSM's fawning reaction to the Obama victory.Hopefully I'll have the honor of at least a brief clubhouse lead with my entry, the words of CBS Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen during this morning's opening segment.
JULIE CHEN: Yeah, it was so moving, um, last night. You couldn't help but feel so emotional, and I agree with you [Maggie Rodriguez], I think John McCain did a really classy job in his speech [he did, but MSM loves Republicans best as losers] in acknowledging Barack's [Julie on first-name basis] big win. And what was most inspiring to me was when Barack Obama was addressing that huge crowd, was watching such a diverse group of faces, all with so much hope in their eyes. That made me feel really good.

Of course they're delighted.They won.
I'll guess we will be doing things their way for a little while.
Maybe it won't be so bad...(sigh)
Did ya hear ?
November 5, 2008 - 07:57 ET by MillerTimeWarpIn his speech....Obamaman stated that the problems may not be fixed in 1 year or even 1 term......ALREADY BACK-PEDDLIN !
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job

November 5, 2008 - 07:58 ET by DontFeedTheTrollsIn keeping with the spirit of the last 8 years, we have to come up with a name for President Elect Obama. How about Chimpy McStalin?

November 5, 2008 - 08:26 ET by motherbeltStalin's OK, but you can't use "chimpy." That's RACIST!!!
It's so nice to know that the media feel really good about this.
What the heck...they didn't bother to act neutral during the campaign, why should they now?
GUESS WHAT !
November 5, 2008 - 08:16 ET by MillerTimeWarpNOW can we put the whole racism "issue" to rest ? It can no longer be used as a crutch for failures
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job
No, we can't. Expect Al
November 5, 2008 - 08:25 ET by motherbeltNo, we can't.
Expect Al Sharpton to be around in the next few days and weeks explaining exactly why.
I agree
November 5, 2008 - 08:45 ET by MillerTimeWarpIt will be sad to listen to him, Whoopie, Oprah, go on and on about how racism is still a "problem". Just because we have a black as the leader of the most powerful country in the world, doesnt mean racism will go away.......its way too deep to be erased (I just teared up)
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job

November 5, 2008 - 10:11 ET by DontFeedTheTrollsJust because we have a black as the leader of the most powerful country in the world,
Well, what used to be the most powerful country in the world. Once Obama and Congress gut the military, bankrupt the fuel, auto and medical industries, and put millions of Americans in bread lines, China and Russia can take their rightful place as masters of the world. Ever see what a newly elected black democrat mayor does to a major American city?
Obama won, America lost.

November 5, 2008 - 10:26 ET by MillerTimeWarpThat's right. Have never seen a succsssful black leader. Once they start to self-implode the attention is put onto something else. Hope all the young voters (experts on economics) love the long bread lines in a few years.
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job
Yeah, I guess black skin is
November 5, 2008 - 10:41 ET by arkansaszippersYeah, I guess black skin is just bad for leadership abilities. I've never looked at it that way! He's way too black for this!
black skin is not bad for
November 5, 2008 - 10:48 ET by MillerTimeWarpblack skin is not bad for leadership abilities - just see no evidence of leadership abilities period. Just hope the "black crutch / victim" card never goes away. Good to know its there when its needed.
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job
Yeah, I wish he was white
November 5, 2008 - 11:00 ET by arkansaszippersYeah, I wish he was white too!
If he was white, I still
November 5, 2008 - 12:54 ET by motherbeltIf he was white, I still wouldn't have voted for him.
It's the POLICIES, stupid!
Thank YOU
November 5, 2008 - 13:04 ET by MillerTimeWarpDidn't feel the need to comment....you did it for me. Thanks. Its not a color issue, its a policy, experience, frekin common sense issue. Just wait.......for 4 years of nothing. The media will let him coast. Should be fun to watch Hillary come back into the limelight. After listening to her rave about the Savior, what can she bring to the table ?
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job
So it's only a color issue
November 5, 2008 - 13:06 ET by arkansaszippersSo it's only a color issue for people who voted for him then? Ok, now I get it. Thank you for clearing that up!
Ark-Z, you really are thick
November 5, 2008 - 13:42 ET by SouthJersey195390+% of blacks voted for him...obviously quite a few of them voted for him only because of color. If BHO was white, he would have lost the election because the blacks wouldn't have come out to vote for "just another white man"

Probably not. But he's not

Well duh. I'm sure that if
November 5, 2008 - 13:08 ET by arkansaszippersWell duh. I'm sure that if there were no republicans on the ticket, you would vote for nobody before you voted for a democrat.
Double DUH
November 5, 2008 - 13:19 ET by MillerTimeWarpIf 95% of blacks voted for Obama, is that not racism ? If 95% of whites had voted for McCain, think the media would named it so ?
They say Michelle Obama worksout - I dont see it, huge ass and all
I would rather be a Conservative nut job, than a Liberal with no nuts and no job
95% of whites didn't vote
November 5, 2008 - 13:24 ET by arkansaszippers95% of whites didn't vote for McCain though.
Thats right
November 5, 2008 - 13:32 ET by MillerTimeWarpbecause off-white (not necessarily black) is the new racist color.
Try and keep up

November 5, 2008 - 08:19 ET by bschoomI too will be keeping my head down and shy away from these stories about the emotions and superlatives of this 'event'.
It's not about losing, it's more about effusive comments that have nothing to do with the reality of the office and the responsibility of leading the greatest country in the world.
I tired of the msm, tired of the shots of some happy people. Need a rest from it for a few days.
Its now
November 5, 2008 - 08:49 ET by cvgbuckeyeIts now our time. The libs, MSM, and all the rest have treated President Bush like a piece of dirt for 8 years. Now everyone is calling for "An end to the bitter bi-partisanship in this country". That is like some kid slugging another kid in the shoulder about 100 times and then saying "OK, lets call a truce since we are even now".
NOT TODAY BOYS AND GIRLS. We need to take all these people to the cleaners and never let up for 4 years, 48 months, 208 weeks, 1460 days, 35,040 hours, 2,102,400 minutes till we run the Marxist, Racist liberals right into the ground. NO MERCY!
PALIN 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

November 5, 2008 - 13:34 ET by semolina_filcherCOunt me in buckeye....no letting up. It's our turn to make Obama miserable. Screw the MSM. WE and NBusters are the NEW MEDIA!
would that at all be analogous to...
November 5, 2008 - 09:05 ET by theduck6a former super power invading a breakaway republic and an idiot telling them both to use restraint?
McCain's concession was a microcosm of why he lost. Concessions and commity to the end. Unfortunately it's a one way street with the leftists in the Congress.
There is a mountain of information most of the adoring sheep don't know about Barry the Messiah. He made little or no effort to educate the dopes and there weren't any 512s this cycle. I hope he doesn't irrepairably damage the country before the sheep wake up.
On a related but seperate point. WHY DO WE HAVE ELECTION COMMISSIONS? It's pretty clear no one enforces rules and there is no consequence for violating them before, during and after the election. ACORN, real documented voter intimidation and unaccounted for campaign cash. Guarantee they will go out and find some numbskull redneck and equate it to the myriad of criminal campaign tactics of the Messiah and call it a wash. Is there any way to sue the MSM for malpractice?
C'mon, duck. You should
November 5, 2008 - 09:14 ET by HockeyKidC'mon, duck. You should know by now that "election commission" means "Democrat legal team".

Feelings
November 5, 2008 - 09:28 ET by Mulligan22America is a country of faith and hope. We have placed that into a man who has no record of accomplishment. He did not run on his record, he couldn't. Chicago schools are a mess, the murder rate is high as well. If he does for us what he has done for them we are in trouble. I'm not sure what people thought they were voting for but I do believe they won't get it. You cannot grow an economy based on tax hikes and goverment programs. You cannot appease your way into peace. We have chosen style instead of substance as if this was a big American Idol contest. The party that brought us the huge mortgage crash has now been elevated to greater power. This is a fact and easily proved. But facts didn't matter to Obama's supporters. None I spoke to would acknowledge them. They simply didn't care. We have elected the least vetted candidate in my lifetime based on change. Change is coming, we apparently didn't care what kind it would be. My hope is for the future that I am wrong about this man. Its one time I'd be happy to be wrong. But my gut tells me P.T Barnum was right.
I see buyers remorse in our future.
In the end it was all about race for these pretend "journalists"
November 5, 2008 - 09:33 ET by krendlerIt all came gushing out in a tidal wave of emotion last night: This election was about one thing for these "journalists": Obama's race.
From the moment Obama was announced the winner to the time I turned the tv off (well after Obama's speech was over), talking head after talking head pontificated about the historic Black Obama. Didn't talk about issues/change/etc. It was race, race, race and more race.
This from the people who spent the last 12 months accusing anyone who was standing in the way of their "history" (Bill Clinton included) of being racists.
If it wasn't obvious as hell all along, it certainly is now.
One of the most despicable displays of slanted journalism in the history of the country.
