I went down to the recruiting station of Friday morning. Said I wanted to sign up. I was at boot camp on Monday. A recruiters dream.
Someone has to be around when a war breaks out. We will hold the line until Baracky the hero signs up and comes to UNLEASH BARACKY HELL!
P.S My first duty assignment was Hawaii. How was I to know in 1981? I looked for Baracky, all I found was grandma cowering under a bus.

I got to my first ship in July of 1990. Deployed in August for the Persian Gulf and something called Desert Shield. I've been in 20 years now, two wars, Bosnia, various and sundry operations, and what do you know. Wars happen.

Many said we could not survive four years of Clinton but we did. In fact eight years of chaos by his ignoring and pushing out history changing problems for the next president to deal with. This will give many the same false impression that the 90's was the decade of peace and tranquility. And those same voters will vote believing they will bring back those "Golden Years" that were really a dangerous world waiting for the right time to begin to rip our country apart piece by piece as happened beginning 9/11/01.The next president will not have the luxury of "kicking the can down the road" for his successor to deal with. To use the expression "Barbarians at the Gate" I don't believe is overly dramatic. Events will come at the new president fast and "learning on the job" will not be an option.
Those who hypothesize the 21st century will be "the Chinese century" or a continuation of the United States as the single super power holding the powers of evil at bay have no idea of what is at stake. This century stands a very high probability of being the century with no world power. Just chaos and anarchy. Centuries of 14th century barbarism we thought were behind us. The danger is real and the stakes could not be higher. Left to an electorate many of whom will decide five minutes before they vote may God look after us as He has done so many times before. The first question asked was about John McCain saying that Odumbo's tax increases will eliminate jobs and Odumbo said he wasn't going to increase taxes, LIE and then he said his tax cuts will increase the number of jobs, LIE, and LIE. He said he was going to increase jobs from the bottom up? That is not possible.
Anyone with a brain knows that increasing taxes on the upper class forces jobs overseas. John McCain is absolutely correct. The bias in this interview is incredible. This moron talked about spending money in Iraq but what about what he is going to spend?
What about Nobama's Global Tax where he plans to redistribute more american wealth all around the world costing every american family $2,500 in lost income and 0.7% of our GDP. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. This is the theology of a marxist.
This is only the surface of his marxist plan and the "democrats" in the house will follow through with all of it. Obama is a STEALTH communist and that is exactly what Saul Alinsky preached because stealth is the only way a communist can seize power here. It doesn't take much stealth to fool democrats and indoctrinated youth in this country.

Another thing regarding his complaint about billions being spent in Iraq. Notice that when he talks about the billions spent in Iraq, he doesn't say we could have kept that here and reduced our national debt, or cut taxes to give all those billions back to the taxpayer. No, instead he says those billions could have gone to <insert several programs here>.
Now tell me this. Regardless of where money is spent, it's spent, so to say the money spent in Iraq could have been spent on government programs in America does NOTHING to address their complaint about the national debt because it's still BILLIONS and they're STILL TALKING ABOUT SPENDING IT!!!

Incidentally, my oldest brother enlisted in the Navy in 1986. At that time there was peace, but he has since been involved in two wars and worked his way up the ladder to a rather nice position.
