Tony Snow, RIP

In 2006, I was invited to attend the annual Television and Radio Correspondents Dinner in Washington, DC.  Before and after the big shindig, all the major news organizations throw parties in the same hotel.  I attended the Fox News event, and Tony Snow was there.

I had never met Tony and he didn't know me from Adam. I was just a neophyte blogger from this new site, NewsBusters.  Nevertheless, Tony greeted and spoke with me warmly, and I had a very powerful sense of someone who, in a manner rooted in his religious faith, truly cared about others.  As I stood on the fringe of the crowd as many others spoke with him, I witnessed the same outpouring of caring and concern coming from Tony toward all that he met.  There was an palpable aura of loving-kindness that emanated from him.

In those few minutes, Tony Snow impressed me as one of the kindest, most caring and truly spiritual people I had ever met.  It was so striking that I later mentioned it to a number of friends and colleagues.

May Tony Snow rest in peace.

I heard about this very

I heard about this very early this morning...although I knew it was coming, my heart is still broke, words cannot express my sorrow...what a loss for many, many people...

All I can say is my prayers go out to his family and friends...his trials are over, rest in peace Tony.

What a beautifully written tribute Mark

It seems that anyone who met him felt the same. Even before he got sick or died you would always hear people raving about what a nice person he was. That doesn't happen with too many people.

Godspeed Tony

I always liked and admired Tony. His wit and skill as an interviewer and as the President's press secretary were always enjoyable to watch. He was a genuinely good and worthwhile person. I will miss him very much.

My prayers go out to his wife and children.

My heart has a hole in it

When I first saw the news on Fox at 7:00 this morning I felt as if I had just lost my best friend. Tony was the consumate gentleman and the country has lost a great advocate.

Rest in Peace Tony.

I hate to sully this very

I hate to sully this very sad day, but the psychos at Daily Kos cannot restrain themselves. Meteor Blade is a frequent front pager for these loons and he composed a very introspective piece on what a sick perverted lowlife he really is:

“strip away the tinsel from the eulogies of those whose behavior had broad and pernicious impacts.”

Hi GNY... No can do...I get

Hi GNY...

No can do...I get the drift...I wasn't going to go to the leftist filth today...I ended up doing just that, and was immediately sorry I did...cannot take anymore, JC Hallman was bad enough on Dialykos...which I posted elsewhere a bit ago...

Cannot take it...

Sorry excuses for human beings....the majority of them.

Bobby Murcer also passed

Bobby Murcer also passed away today from cancer.

Like Mickey Mantle he was a great kid of Oklahoma who made it as a legendary NY Yankee. He was also a great human being.

As much as Red Sox fans hate the Yankees you will not see a single negative word uttered about Murcer.

It just llustrates just how disturbed these Daily Kos people are.

May God bless Tony and those in his family he left behind.

Tony was one of the good guys.
