CHRIS MATTHEWS: I think [Richardson's] a gutsy guy, his own man, and I think it's a powerful endorsement. It certainly would have been powerful if it had gone the other way to Senator Clinton. I think it'll be a prized endorsement for Senator Obama, especially coming from a, he also comes from an interesting background. He always says, he says, you know, I've got a, what does he say? I've got an English name, I've got a Mexican mother, and I look like an Indian. I mean, he's, he's always had an interesting --Among the questions Krauthammer poses to Obama in that column of today to which Matthews alluded is this one:

MATTHEWS: -- way of describing his own background. And then you have Barack Obama with his interesting background. I think it's an interesting sort of "many faces of Benneton" moment for the country. It's always good when this happens, obviously.
BRZEZINSKI: That's a great way of putting it.
MATTHEWS: Well, I'm very positive about the whole thing, and I loved the speech by Barack Obama. I get emotional when I watch these, I mean, he gets to me. I think his statement as an American is extraordinary, it's powerful, and it's so necessary. And I do think it's a Rohrshach test for Americans. It's not a race test. It's a test about sensibility. And some of us are amazingly taken by that kind of message and others are not. It's just, it's in our DNA I suppose. Some people are cold to it. They don't like it. People like Charles Krauthammer today, people like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity--people I get along with. But they just have a different sensibility, they have a different reaction to Barack Obama then I do. They just do.
Why did you give $22,500 just two years ago to a church run by a man of the past who infects the younger generation with precisely the racial attitudes and animus you say you have come unto us to transcend? Why indeed? Guess that puts me in that cold Krauthammer camp.

Mika, and Chris a New Program for MSNBC
March 21, 2008 - 11:16 ET by NKurucAfter watching some of this all too familiar diatribe this morning, I'm proposing a new show consolidating all of these idiots. Mika, Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman with reports from David Schuster and David Gregory........titled........"I Can't Believe What I'm Seeing". They can spend at least two hours per night bashing our current president, his administartion and the GOP. What are these fools going to do when the Dem's lose the general election this coming fall? More of the same old, same old! It never ends.

Matthews
March 21, 2008 - 10:03 ET by iveseenitallMatthews is the embodiment of "liberalism"--an immature hypocrite who spouts platitudes, yet in private treats someone like Michelle Malkin with complete disrespect. It's the hypocrisy which is the most disgusting thing about "liberals". But it is also the, "I am so much better than you" attitude coming from an ugly, immature individual which really makes one sick. Charles Krauthammer has it all over this jerk. I'm sure his IQ is at least 30-40 points higher than Matthews'. Matthews can't even play well to the few dolts who watch him every day. His ratings are in the toilet for a reason. But the MSM and George Soros will never flush him. Sad.

That's because people like Charles, Rush and Sean, and me I suppose, are reacting to his character (lack of) and his politics (very, VERY liberal) as opposed to his race, like Chrissy is. Isn't that what MLK wanted us to do?
And I love the pandering by Mika about Richardson (that's fabulous). Like she's saying, what a good little minority he is as she pats him on the head. Ugh, they make me sick!!

March 21, 2008 - 09:48 ET by PeskyDaneBTW, did anyone else catch Mika presenting Tiki with his birthday brownie, or was that a slab of chocolate? I have never seen Barber look so uncomfortable. I caught it in the gym this morning. That had to have been one of the most cringe-worthy moments I've seen in a while. She just stood there insisting on his approval and it looked like he finally patted her on the back just to close out the moment and get her out of his personal space.

I saw part of he show this morning...she presented him with a slab of chocolate that has a red heart outline I think it was that said Happy Valentines's Day inscribed in the same red icing inside the heart...weally weally cute....Aaaakay?
I think she mentioned she made it for him or some such and had been saving it for him since then, as he was supposed to be on back then or something like that.
Then I heard later Joe say something about her not being able to cook, or liking to cook would be more like it if you ask me ....so who knows...bet she never had to do something menial as cook anyway much in her life...know what I mean?

March 21, 2008 - 10:34 ET by marpelAlthough Matthews makes no secret of wanting to have Obama's baby, the one thing we have to not lose sight of is that he is an opinion journalist. Hannity and O'Reilly are too. I hope they keep Matthews around because I love to watch him fall over himself when Obama's name is mentioned. It's comical.
Does anyone remember the first time Bill Clinton made a campaign appearance after his heart surgery? I believe he was stumping for Kerry. Matthews said something like "It's like watching Lazurus rise up from the dead". I thought he was going to jump Clinton and start french kissing him. And Andrea Mitchell was so excited, she wanted to divorce Crazy Al on the spot and whip out a cigar for ol' Bill.

Matthews' superficiality is breathtaking. Isn't it strange how all diversity is great, as long as it's about gender, color, ethnicity... you know - all the stuff that isn't supposed to matter?
Obama condescendingly lectures us about race but holds hands with a vicious racist, and Matthews rhapsodizes about diversities that are inborn but vilifies actual intellectual positions that are diverse from his own.
Matthews thinks liberals have deep thoughts. I think they are simply attracted to whatever pretty bauble seems exciting at the moment. And furthermore, I don't think Matthews knows the difference.

It is obvious Matthews (and several others over at MSNBC/NBC) have lost ALL objectivity and credibility ... and in doing so have become a 527 for the Obama campaign.

March 21, 2008 - 17:50 ET by SaseboSailorI don't know if anyone caught this during the 5am CST hour this morning, but in an exchange with Scarborough about Obama's latest issue, she kept repeating that "it's true..it's probably true"!
My head exploded. Suddenly, if the statement is true, it's OK with Mika..?? As in Ferarro's true statements? As in the guy who had the audacity to utter Obama's true middle name?? As in Obama's utter lack of qualifications? As in Hillary's very reason for her political existence, i.e., her Bubba???
As in the multitude of TRUE observations I could make that would be ever-so-politically-incorrect about liberals but are absolutely TRUE??
Puhleez! Where would the libs be if people could actually start speaking the truth?
