Davis, who made his bones tirelessly defending Bill Clinton during the dark Lewinsky days, appeared on Tucker Carlson's show this evening. Tucker opened the conversation by asking whether Davis sensed Obama's momentum. But Lanny was more interested in getting his point on the record about MSNBC's pro-Obama bias.
LANNY DAVIS: I certainly read the polls that she's ahead in many states, tied in many states, and the national gap is tightening. But these are two great candidates and I'm not surprised. But I did want to start the show by thanking you, Tucker. You're about the only show on MSNBC that consistently allows a Clinton perspective to be expressed.
Now, in fairness, Davis didn't explicitly state that MSNBC was backing Barack. Raise your hand if you think Lanny meant that the network has a pro-GOP bias.

The man in charge of MSNBC
February 4, 2008 - 20:52 ET by SMGalbraithThe man in charge of MSNBC won't like this, Lanny.
I see a Worst Person in the World award for you soon from him.
Well since he said "these
February 5, 2008 - 10:31 ET by motherbeltWell since he said "these are two great candidates," it's obvious who the other one is. I doubt he meant Clinton and McCain.
In fact, Republicans are not mentioned at all: "two great candidates." Has the entire Presidential field narrowed down to HRC against Obama?????
Upate: Lanny apparently is PO'd that after all those years of being in the tank for the Clintons, they have now moved on.
I know, Lanny....no loyalty!!
This surprises anyone?
February 4, 2008 - 21:33 ET by The_PumpcropI honestly don't mind a news media promoting an agenda (I don't have to watch them), but when they try to pass themselves off as being "neutral, open and honest" and then cop an attitude when their bias is exposed like it was some big secret... And THAT'S the WORST- NEWS- STATION - IN - THE - WORLD!!!

Bottom rung on top now Massah
February 4, 2008 - 22:31 ET by Lame CherryI know I quoted Ken Burns The Civil War before, but I just find it amusing how these elitist whites still run the DNC and their flunkies all think that just because Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton are the massah that the bottom run blacks are not suppose to rise up to their position in life just like in 1865.
In that Burns recorded a former slave now seeing his white owner captive and said, "Bottom rung on top now Massah".
Blacks have been held down and owned too long by the Democrats using them. It is time that even the leftist blacks.......and no not talking about FBI informer Jackson or that crook Sharpton come to the front, but people like Obama even if he is a plant of the elitists to break the bonds and take the place in America.
I will never agree with Obama's positions, but he is good for America in he opens the debate and appears to be someone who can at least get beyond rhetoric and makes deals (I don't like Teddy Kennedy but that old drunk could pass legislation)...........Compromise is what America was created on in Philadelphia.
It is time Blacks of the left and right........along with Mexican Americans to more than the babe Michele Malkin rising as an Asian American.
I hate hyphenated Americans, but the point is this nation needs all political discourse..........the left helps make Conservatives sharper when the left is not doing Clinton pandering and lying.
The greatest thing in America would be the day that Barak Obama stepped forward and said, "I too was like Ronald Reagan a Democrat, but the only direction for me I now see is being a Conservative".
........and flush those Clinton massah's to the bottom rung where they belong.

Obamanation
February 4, 2008 - 23:45 ET by ScrapironJoin Sean Hannity and ask a democrat to name one accomplishment of B Hussein Obama. No one can because he has never did one thing other than feather his own nest. Voting 'here' is not an accomplishment but he did set a record of 'here' votes. Doesn't that show a total lack of decision making skills?
Scrap
February 4, 2008 - 23:55 ET by BlondeDid you see the pollster guy on Fox tonite? He posed the same question to a roomful of dems...."name one of Obama's accomplishments".
They couldn't. "He's a great speaker"....like that. It was a riot. They all realized how stupid their responses were. Backing a puffed up actor with no substance. The figurative liberal head smacking was a riot to watch.
David Gregory, do you know which damn network you lie for? ~ Uncle Jimbo, @Blackfive
That was a priceless
February 5, 2008 - 02:23 ET by Gary P JacksonThat was a priceless moment!
It's amazing how Americans have been lulled into a "celebrity culture". The media has gotten the nation to care about kids like Britany Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton, who has become famous for being famous. The media has driven the Obama phenomenon. He too is famous, because he's famous. He's just as much an empty suit as Paris is an empty skirt. The only thing the man has going for him is he is a good speaker.
It will be hard to beat this man if he wins the nomination. The media will describe every "attack" by the Republican opponent as a lynching by the Klan. Look what Slick Willy caused by saying his stance on the war was a fairy tail. One of the few times Clinton spoke the truth, and it is just his luck he spoke it against an untouchable!
Ann Coulter has written in several of her books how liberals throw up human shields when they want to advance an agenda. Folks like Christopher Reeve, Micheal J Fox, Max Cleland, and the Jersey Girls, have been used (and thrown away) to push some agenda. I submit Obama is the ultimate human shield. He, and his friends in the media will make everything about his skin color, and try and shame Americans into voting for him. That will work on many.
Even Dick Morris is on
February 5, 2008 - 06:22 ET by motherbeltEven Dick Morris is on board....he said if Obama doesn't win on Tuesday, it will say more about "who we are" as a country than about who he is.
No experience, no accomplishments, but vote for the black guy anyway or you're a bigot!!
Lanny, Lanny, Lanny!
February 5, 2008 - 00:00 ET by IamTinmanHow long have you been in this business? Did your mama ever tell you the story of the scorpion and the frog? No self respecting frog would ever expect to hang around that nest of scorpions and NOT get stung!
MSNBC v. CNN
February 5, 2008 - 00:30 ET by KC MulvilleLanny was on the wrong network. Hillary owns CNN, and now we discover, the Hallmark Channel. How any liberal or Democrat can complain about unfair coverage is simply amazing to me. Try being a Republican for a change!
This website documents that bias every day.
Have read Lanny for months
February 5, 2008 - 08:53 ET by docbHave read Lanny for months at the HILL.com..He has been in the tank for the clintons the whole time..it helps to know what the[now] opposition is up too.
His colleague B.Press is up to the same game with the clintons..hillery as victim.
I have noted the past three weeks that if you pull up a headline like'Obama is or Obama Clinton are' ..Her picture comes up 7 of 10 times...
There was a poll that showed that Bill clinton got more coverage from the MSM than republicans by a very wide margin..
Some must still be afraid of the nasty clinton machine!!!!!!
