Covering Hillary's tricked-up "victory" event for a Dem Florida primary that was not supposed to be contested, even MSNBC co-anchor Keith Olbermann eventually got bored and pulled away.
But before he did, the junior senator from New York began to lay out her plans for America. Though sheer ennui eventually drove MSNBC off, the network hung in for enough of Clinton's "victory" speech to give us a taste for what might rightly be called "Hillary's Manifesto."

HILLARY'S MANIFESTO:
"Here's what I believe":
- Living wage.
- Legal right to health care.
- Universal pre-K
- Don't worry too much about tests, just make sure kids can learn.
- Tax the rich.
- Bring troops home.
Hillary was still going strong, but at that point MSNBC cut away, tragically depriving us of learning the additional ways in which Hillary would improve Americans' live through more government. Moving on, even [Obama fan?] Olbermann noted Clinton's disregard for the rules and mocked the significance of the event.
KEITH OLBERMANN: She is insistent that Florida delegates will be seated. She referred to what happened tonight, even though this was not supposed to count according to the rules established by the Democratic National Committee, she referred to this as a "resounding vote" and an "intense election." Um, that, uh, was not the original idea. This was supposed to be as spring training-ish as the baseball games that will be played there in that state a month from now.

Typical. She agrees with the other candidates not to count Florida and Michigan and then decides unilaterally to reverse her position. Kind of like her Iraq position: "If I knew then what I know now . . "
The Democrat Party elders are clearly rejecting the Clintons. You have to love it!

January 29, 2008 - 23:36 ET by ThisnThatShe won FL by 17 points. If Obama had won by 17, think Hillary would be pushing for delegates to be counted?
It's all about Hillary, all the time. This is a very transparant, very public power grab "In the name of the people" -- as she puts it. And its being done in broad daylight. Her sense of entitlement is astonishing.

More Evidence Hillary is taking a dive
January 30, 2008 - 02:35 ET by Lame CherryThe only story which Kos furorats are remembering in this is Hillary lied about campaigning in Florida and is up to dirty tricks to get Florida's delegates.
This is typical for the pattern and perhaps Hillary's Manifesto is a good analogy, but when is someone going to start matching her words with Hugo Chavez, the sulphur snorting kook of Venezuela.
Comrade Hillary in 12 hours flipped the media the bird. Flipped the DNC the bird over delegates.........and that is not what one does when they are trying to win.
She has done all of this OVER NO DELEGATES in Florida and she pulled the same in Michigan.
I want people to start watching this as now 341 delegates BELONG TO NO ONE. Start tallying up the delegates John Edwards is skimming. Edwards said today the convention will be brokered and he will be king maker........notice KING and no Queenie was mentioned.
Keep an eye on the super delegates at large. This convention can draft whoever they please.........especially if both Hillary and Obama are facing Patrick Fitzgerald criminal charges like Scooter Libby.
Then the question is who will they draft? I have stated it will be Al Gore as the liberals have taken Global Warming off the table now. The clearest clues in this will be criminal rumblings and a rejuvenated Al Gore, tanned, less fat and with some new salvation beyond global warming.
Hillary p*ssed off the entire DNC tonight deliberately for no delegates. So she won nothing and those over 300 delegates can be used however the DNC now mandates.
Maybe it is time people start examining here if this magic show is really a magic show and not a campaign.

January 30, 2008 - 09:18 ET by danybhoyLame Cherry,
I believe the fix is in with the Dems. Hillary is going to get those 341 delegates, come hell or high water. Not too mention the fact that 40% of the delegates on the DEMs side are not elected, they are selected. I believe those delegates will be "awarded" to Hillary Rotten Clinton. I don't think Gore would take the pay cut.
Obama will be screwed big time. He will get it worse then a hot drunken coed being passed around at a frat house party. Will the MSM bring it up, let alone protest? I think we will find out.

January 30, 2008 - 09:35 ET by docbThough I do not agree with the DNC on the delegate issue, the clintons agreed /supported the decision when she was the 'inevidible' . This is yet one more example of the rules only apply when she is winning.
I believe that if you make a promise...you keep it. None of the promises made in upstate NY -were kept--except the largest amount of earmarks inserted by clinton, one to support a church[1.5mm] to get an endorsement etc etc.
This is still a dynastic U-turn for the nation--dirty politics, slander, politics of personal destruction... Let us move on to healing, inclusion, and change.

January 30, 2008 - 09:43 ET by motherbeltI believe that if you make a promise...you keep it.
That doesn't apply to the Clintons.
Bill Clinton made many promises in 1992 that went unfulfilled when he was elected. His main flunky, George Stephanopolous, had the "face" to say President had "kept all the promises that he intended to keep." And he thought that was a perfectly acceptable answer.

January 30, 2008 - 11:13 ET by dscottIf I were an Obama supporter, I would be very worried. Between the super delegates, Florida and Michigan, she will have enough to clinch the nomination. Clinton and her allies cleverly duped Obama and Edwards not to campaign in Florida, yet there she went to campaign and if you think those delegates aren't going to vote in the convention, you're just plain naive. Yeap, the fix is in. The manipulating triangulators will have their way even if it breaks the spirit of the Dem Party. As long as the Clinton allies in the MSM are the keepers of the story line, they not the voters will decide the outcome of the Dem nomination process. The script is written, having Obama keep the race competitive is necessary for the ratings (ratings=dollars), but the ending has already been decided, Hillary - the Dem nominee for POTUS.
Getting Obama and others to agree that the economy is in shambles is not just part of the script, it's the necessary subtrifuge for them to buy it, lock, stock and barrel. To participate is to validate! What a bunch of suckers, you have been played! Don't be embarrassed, they were professionals.
What the Clintons are doing is the logical conclusion of liberal fascism, "we know better than you and therefore we will make the decisions for the common good."
Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. dscott's corollary: The line between malice and stupidity is called depraved indifference.
