Scarborough: Edwards 'in Hannity's Lap' Till Deciding Slamming Fox Sells

Here's a bold prediction: Joe Scarborough won't be switching registration to vote for John Edwards in the Florida primary. The Pensacola-area Republican congressman-turned-MSNBC-host unloaded on the Dem contender on today's "Morning Joe," accusing Edwards of opportunistic flip-flopping when it comes to dealing with Fox News.

"MORNING JOE" HOST JOE SCARBOROUGH: John Edwards, demanding that Hillary Clinton return money she got from News Corp. [the Rupert Murdoch-controlled company that is Fox News' parent] because News Corp. is such a corrupt, terrible outfit. Of course John Edwards got $1,000 from News Corp. himself, so it's sort of like being half-pregnant. You can't be half-pregnant. You either take the money from the corrupt source or you don't. And of course this is the same John Edwards who won't go on Fox News, but before he decided this would resonate with primary voters, you couldn't keep the guy off of Fox News. I mean, he was like in Sean Hannity's lap every other night. Now, he is shocked and stunned. Shocked and stunned! -- that anybody would go on Fox News. Here's a guy who wants to take on the Taliban and he can't even handle [Fox News president] Roger Ailes. How sad, how sad.

Even newsreader Mika Brzezinski, not known for her criticism of Democrats, seemed to second Joe's notion, pitching in with a mocking "appalled!" while Scarborough was exclaiming about Edwards being "shocked and stunned."

Has the Silky One lost his luster with the MSM?

Serial Panderer

The deal with Edwards is that he continues to have the mentality of an ambulance chasing injury lawyer. He considers the public to be the jury he has to make his case to. And, like an injury lawyer, he will say ANYTHING to win the favor of the jury.

The problem for Edwards is that previously he had to just win over just one jury per case. Now he has to perform for the same jury over and over again which is why he has lost his effectiveness as a serial panderer.

}}---> John boy Edwards

Edwards is a non player.

The Dems know he's still the most likely to get awkward with a slam against lesbians, or some condescendingly sympathetic compliment of a minority.  Never mind, all Dems do that.

Fox News

These will be golden campaign commericials during election season. Democratic cadidates who are not afraid to talk to dictators  are afraid to come on Fox News.

Fox has more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined. I guess the Democrats think those votes are lost.

First Edwards is for the war

First Edwards is for the war because he is running for POTUS and thinks it will give him credibility on national defense issues. Now he's against the war because support has weakened amoung the general public. He won't debate on FNC because it will give him credibility with the DailyKos. It would be refreshing if Edwards were honest just once about anything, even if it's just what he had for lunch. This is the reason politicians in general are held in such low regard.

WHAT THE &^#$%^!!!!!?????

"It would be refreshing if Edwards were honest just once about anything..."

Are you kiddding!!?? He's a trial lawyer who has gotten rich off of suing doctors because they were not 100% perfect. He has also recieved an $500,000 advance and $300,000 in "expenses" from Harper-Collins for his book. Harper-Collins is a division of News Corp.

Not only can't he tell the truth about almost anything, he is the biggest hypocrit I've ever seen , even including John Kerry!

The day that "politician" became a career choice is the day we started losing the Republic

They've run out of excuses

As bad as our MSM is, even they can't overlook what an opportunist Edwards is.

}}---> Done Deal, Pam

John is out of the race.  MSM has decided which philly will win this race.

RCP has Edwards at 10%, down

RCP has Edwards at 10%, down from 15% before his testoserone-charged spouse blindsided Ann Coulter on a Hardball program---which the estrogen-charged hairdo with legs claimed was a shot in his campaign's arm.  Yeah, of Dhimmi-fluids!

Now this preposterous eff-up of calling on Chillary to return $20K of Murdoch money while he got $800K from Rupert's folks at HarperRow.  And his hapless campaign spokesboy says he gave the money to "charity" but refuses to document said statement.  Just how deep into single digits is John-boy, the Silk Pony, going to descend before even his dim bulb lights up with how stupid his strategy of knocking Fox, which he appeared on more than 30X before he decided they were too mean to Dhimmi-crats?

My guess is that Obama & Edwards are both in the process of slow self-destruction and Chillary, Inc., should allow them to self-extinguish while she picks Richardson, who is relatively sane, as a VP candidate.

$1000 isn't very much money

$1000 isn't very much money when you think about campaign contributions.  That's only like 2 1/2 haircuts worth compared to $800,000 (2000 haircuts).

Corrupt source?

You either take the money from the corrupt source or you don't.

Huh? Since when is FNC a 'corrupt source'? I guess what he's saying is that free air-time on MSdnc is the way to go.

Joe wasn't personally

Joe wasn't personally calling Fox News corrupt. He was putting himself in Edwards' place.

Looks like the shallow

Looks like the shallow ambulance-chasing pretty boy is starting to hemorrhage pretty badly in the polls. Even Iowa, where he's lived for the past year, and his natal state of South Carolina, now look like they're going for Chillary or B. Hussein Obama.
