Lucky? Wow. How can you respond to such thoughtless and inane statements like that? 

Let's follow the liberal thought train of the last 5 years:

1.  WTF???  Blow up our Twin Towers will ya???  Kill the b*stards!!! 

2.  Iraq presents a clear and present threat of nuclear weapons and we need to disarm Saddam.

3.  9/11 Commission was right!!! Bush was unprepared!  He should have connected the dots!  It's Bush's fault!   YEEEEARRRGGGHH!

4.  There is no war on terror, it's a bumper sticker.

5.  We need to get out of Iraq because this administration has failed policies. 

6.  Al Qaeda got lucky.

 Forget 911, I dial 9MM.

Here's a thought, every time a suicide bomber is successful, the terrorist organization loses the skill to pull off another attack until they find another person skilled or competent enough to be successful.  Hence, the time lags between successful attacks on the US.  Given that the British got lucky with the recent bungled attacks, it stands to reason that most if not all the competent suicide bombers are in Iraq (some were in Pakistan, they were successful).  Sooner or later they are going to run out of competent people to pull off any attack on the US.  But then again, sheer dumb luck does occur.

But as to the growth of al Qaeda since 911, anyone can be a member, the only prerequisit is to be willing to die in a blaze of glory.  As we have seen in Iraq, the entire projection of leadership (fake Iraqi native leader al Baghdadi) and numbers is strictly theater.  They assert their numbers and strength and who is to dispute the assertion?  Any unchallenged assertion becomes truth when accepted by even one idiot.  Unfortunately, we have lots of idiots in this country, they are called liberals.

That assinine comment aside - and keeping in mind that I don't agree with the tripe - I would just like to add that while they may not have posed an imminent mortal threat to the nation, we sure as heck posed an imminent mortal threat to their sorry asses - thank you special ops and delta boys and whoever else got to go kick some scrawny sorry cowardly hide-behind-women-and-children butt.

How is it that most libs still don't get it?

This plot was hatch and carried out exposing our weaknesses in, intell gathering, immigration policies and lack of communication among the Law Enforcement and Itell gathering Communities.  These brought about by an attitude of "It is over there, we are safe.  Let us do nothing."While the military screamed "The Threat is real!" and suffered casualty after casualty at Kobar Towers and the USS Cole, the do nothing policies of President Clinton allowed Osama to run amuck in the world.  Our cut and run attitude in Somalia only help boost him in the eyes of Jihadist.  9/11 made him a God. 

WAKE UP LIBS!!!!! 

We are getting back into that attitude that will lead us down that same path.  Keep the pressure on in Iraq.  Screw Pakistan and go into the lawless areas along the Afghan border and kill them in their holes.  Go out and grow a fricking pair!!!!

The strengthened al Qaeda seems to have less success than when they were an obscure group of extremist thugs. Why is that?

I have had a thought recently,  why we are fighting this war on terror in the conventional manner we are?  If we want to win this battle against radical Islam, and given that these people and this religion have not experienced much change since the 13th century, why are we not fighting this in a manner that would truly affect them?  Stay with me here...  They see it as a great thing to die.  This is one of their goals to become a martyr.  Now of course I can already hear the responses of, well... let's just help them on their way.  Well, that gives them more power in their death to use that to influence another generation of people and the cycle continues.  But, if seen to be "unclean" by their definition, they will not go to paradise and receive their virgins.  So, how do we fight them in a manner that would effect them when they want to die?  Well, I say let's give a new military contract to all the pig farmers in the United States.  A new weapon to be used in this war to really make a difference in the outcome.  If we are to win, don't we want to achieve that goal in the shortest time possible?  After all, the use of the atomic bomb in Japan achieved the desired results and look how horrific that was.  But it did end the war and countrys could rebuild and, for the most part, have enjoyed peace and prosperity.  Now, you can follow this to your own conclusion but visualize an army of pigs marching through the A-Q strongholds, firefighting planes loaded with the blood from the pigs that we can use to help feed our soldiers being dropped on these strongholds.  Now we have truly affected them in a manner that they would understand.  They would be unclean in their minds and if they die would not be martyrs, go to paradise, or receive their virgins.  I could go on and on regarding various strategies about this but please, feel free to talk among yourselves.
