If Palin is McCain's choice for VP, it would be a home run for the GOP.  My measure of McCain's decision making ability will have gone up a few notches.  As far a John Roberts is concerned, thanks for making it perfectly obvious that Palin is exactly the right choice because I can hear the fear in his voice.

Roberts seems less concerned about a Presidential candidate who has little experience versus a VP candidate.  Amazing.

She's pro-life, she kills pork-barrel projects, she calls out her own party when they screw up; that should help with (1) the abortion issue that has been more in the limelight lately, (2) spend and borrow (or tax) critics, and (3) stepping away from the Bush admin, which the libs consistently rag on.

The only point of weakness I see with this duo is on the economy.  However, if they can bring to light the current positive trends (3.3% GDP revised growth) without sounding condescending to those who are going through tough times, maybe they can make ground in rebuking the Nets who morph all financial news into misery.

a senator who hasn't shown up for work in the last 18 months ... and who has no record of doing anything significant/noteworthy before that.

with a son going to iraq ... a son born with down syndrome and a proven record of being tough on corruption ... SHE is more in tune with the average american than biden and obama combined ... good choice in my book.

Hey, John - have you been drinking the kool-aid so long and have become so enthralled by his lordship Obamessiah you haven't seen his "experience"?  147 days in the U.S. Senate? Voted the #1 liberal in the Senate? Association with ultra-left wing pundits? And you think this empty-suited ego is qualified to be president because of his "experience"?

Palin has more political experience in her little finger than Obamessiah has in his entire body.

McCain has pulled the trump card. We have just retained the White House - and may have just regained control of Congress.

Democrats are now in a dark alley full of thugs (Hussein O is their leader) without a defense.

All McCain has to do is point out that Palin does her job and Hussein O has drawn a check on the federal tax payers for three years and worked, no make that been in the Senate building,  a total of 143 days in three years. Hussein O has '0' accomplishments in the 143 days and in his past Chicago 'mob' service positions, other than ripping off the taxpayers for a billion dollars or so.

Palin has a world of work experience compared to Hussein O and 'she loves her country' , while the Obama's hate and 'god damm' America.

Did I mention that I served on the USS John S. McCain (DDG-56) for 3 years.  He has had my vote since 2000.  Beating the messiah is not an option, but piviots upon the very founding threads of this nation.

...This is not a bad choice.  She is cute and smart.  Just because she can't stage an 80,000 person stadium farce doesn't mean that she doesn't have the right stuff.

Biden is a fool.  I hope that his rhetoric is not feared.  He has never served, and therefore has ZERO ethos with respect to the military.

By the way, where to Biden's credentials come from?  Being a crazy lefty loony senator does not make you a foreign policy expert.  No matter how many year you have been a Senator.  And, no matter if your son is a traitorous NG officer.  He should have never spoke.  It is a borderline ethichs violation.  I hope that his ass is courts martialed.

I'm getting the sense here that John McCain didn't seek approval from Popular Tech before he made his choice of run his choice of Sarah Palin.

Sure, she's a political choice - this is politics - not a business hiring an employee. I think choosing a woman was brilliant - it neutralizes the bulliness of attack dog Biden in the Vice Prseidential debate - the only time anyone pays much attention to these candidates and about the only time they can affect the election much.

Unlike Hillary, Palin did not ride her husbands coattails to get where she is. If you've ever seen Biden bully some witness during a Senate hearing you know he better watch out in his debate with her. Besides she's tougher than both Biden and Obama.

I read the Lawrence Kudlow interview of Sarah Palin, and the bio information that is part of the interview, sketches out some of the factors that must have led McCain to this selection.

The first female V.P. selection is from the Republicans. So, what party is shattering glass ceilings? Lets see, Oh! it's the Republicans, and she has a RECORD as a reformer!
