Telemundo HIDES Hunter Scandal Within Report on Debate

October 21st, 2020 5:32 PM

As Jill Biden went into Freudian mode in a media tour where she covered for her “innocent” 50-year-old son, Hunter Biden, and made his email scandal all about Donald Trump, over at Telemundo, her husband Joe got a free pass for hiding from the public eye.

In what was Telemundo’s first mention of the corruption scandal involving Hunter Biden’s laptop e-mails, White House correspondent Cristina Londoño portrayed the 2020 Democrat presidential candidate, as a peaceful master of control who is nice enough to “allow” former President Barack Obama to cover his back while Biden remains tucked away in his basement.

According to Londoño, Donald Trump will bully poor Joe, and “accuse him of being corrupt, and will mention his son Hunter’s dealings in Ukraine, as well as in China”. Oh my:

CRISTINA LONDOÑO: Joe Biden is staying home. He has been preparing for the president’s attacks. He knows that (Trump) will accuse him of being corrupt, and will mention his son Hunter’s dealings in Ukraine, as well as in China.

Biden has been in such need of “time and space,” that Londoño forewarned her audience of Trump's forthcoming onslaught. After all, as she cautioned, Trump has been running behind Biden in the polls, and at a rally in Pennsylvania, “recognized that the election is close, and that people need to go out to the polls.”

Expect more of this type of reporting leading to the presidential election, where President Trump comes off as The Bad Orange Man: “As we well know, the president is in a combative and attack mode.”

For sure, nothing more will be said about the implications of Hunter Biden's emails detailing shady business dealings with Burisma and others, that directly implicate his father. Bets, anyone?

NICOLE SUAREZ: There are just over 24 hours left for the second and final presidential debate and meanwhile, Donald Trump continues his rallies in key states. Joe Biden continues concentrating at home, preparing for tomorrow's face-to-face, while is allowing former President Barak Obama to push his cause with a speech. Cristina Londoño is in Nashville, Tennessee. Tell us. Good afternoon Cristina, we hear you.

CRISTINA LONDOÑO: That's right Nicole. Good afternoon from Nashville, the headquarters of the second and final presidential debate. A city that is dressed up for a gala because this is a key event in the future of the nation. President Trump is going to arrive here after a marathon tour of key states, states he needs to win for re-election. Last night, for example, he was in Pennsylvania and recognized that the election is closed, and that people need to go out to the polls. Tonight, he's going to be in North Carolina.

For his part, Joe Biden is staying home. He has been preparing for the president’s attacks. He knows that (Trump) will accuse him of being corrupt, and will mention his son Hunter’s dealings in Ukraine, as well as in China, that's why he has been getting ready. But that doesn't mean the Democratic campaign is completely silenced; today, no more and no less than Barack Obama is coming out to seek the vote of Hispanics and the nation at large for Joe Biden. Biden's campaign is ahead in the polls. However, the campaign manager has told his people to fight as if they were losing. Definitely a key moment. The Republican strategy is expected to be for President Trump to back down a little bit and let Joe Biden talk more in the hope that he will make mistakes. But, as we well know, the president is in a combative and attack mode. That's all the information I have about this, back to you Nicole.

SUAREZ: The country is very attentive. Thank you Cristina Londoño.
