'Variety' Profile of Ann Curry: 'Voice of Intelligence' on NBC's Today
Variety magazine just released its 2011 "Women's Impact Report" – examining the influence of women in media – which included NBC "Today" co-host Ann Curry, who was described as "'Today's' voice of intelligence, compassion."
This is the same Ann Curry that could not find Illinois on a map. The same Ann Curry that wished all weapons could be inflatable toys. The same Ann Curry that proclaimed that a blender powered by a bicycle could actually "save the environment!"

To paraphrase Frank Zappa, Variety Magazine is made up of people calling themselves journalists who can't write, interviewing people who can't talk, for people who can't read.
Well stated, B-boom

These people appear to live within a rather small sphere that leaves them out of touch with the real world. They heap praise upon each other for adhering to the a single worldview, as Bernard Goldberg pointed out in his book "Bias."
In such a sphere, Curry may be deemed a 'voice of intelligence,' but it is indicative of how weak the journalism gene-pool has become.

whiney, boo hoo, curry could join the "Sap Club" with David Brooks. They could compete for the leadership although, that would be a huge toss-up as who could win. She is pathetic and tries so hard to impress viewers of elite, education and smarts, of which, she has none. Ann, go put on your "marching boots"

I had forgotten about the 'wish weapons were inflatable toys' thing. This could be a standard definition regarding liberals. Their minds swirl with pre-adolescent, 'I wish..I wish' illogical fantasies. The problem is, they consider this productive and a sign of intelligence. Drsamhammer, you around?
LOL. Is that a subtle way of calling Lauer an idiot?

This special secret 'on-assignment' thing is sounding a little fishy at this point. Wominz troubles again?

SoL,
I think "on-assignment" is technical speak for "They have a zit that would put a watermelon to shame on their face". ;-)

I wish there was some way that we could have "Clueless" Curry come to this site and see what normal Americans think of her. Anyone have her email address? Let's send the link to her "Profile in Bias" and a greatest hits of where she has been the subject of an NB blog or at least some of the comments made. :-o

Repost from the Curry/Cain thread

Ann Curry is probably the most deplorable member of the interview media. She fawns over Ahmadinejad!!.... then she badgers Herman Cain.
Ever since her harrassment of the late Benazir Bhutto, (possibly before that, but that's when I became aware of her sanctimonious attacks), she continues to prove she's not worth a tinker's dam as far as either journalism or ethics go.
Update
Her interrogation....er...interview.... of Benazir Bhutto was a new low in "journalism." I don't think she's gone quite that far again, but suggesting to Herman Cain, to his face, that he is worthless as a vote-getter, except as a "protest" of the other candidatseis insulting on a scale that is just jaw-dropping.
If the people at Vanity Fair think she is an example of intelligence in journalism, they have grapes for brains.
Ann Curry "Our Ambassador from Planet Zebulon"
Submitted by libBuster on Mon, 09/26/2011 - 4:04pm.
This from Ladies Home Journal:
She was warm and earnest, but also a little spacey; Al Roker once called her "our ambassador from Planet Zebulon." And she had a kind of ditzy, girlish innocence. In 1998, when I interviewed her for this magazine, a Today staffer told me how they were going to cover picture hanging on the show, and they were all discussing it. "Yes!" Curry piped up. "It's so important to be well hung." "We all started snickering," the staffer said, "and Ann was going, 'What? What? What did I say?'"
Racist maybe??

If Cain won the Florida straw poll, how can anyone in the MSM call the republicans racists? By denying that he actually won. What a bunch of ignorant pond scum people like Curry are.
