What they really mean: "And will that dumb bible-thumping siliconed whore lose her crown?"

It's more clear than ever, and perhaps more active than ever, that the media functions as a type of mafia.

They make it clear - if you cross them - if you cross them on what they hold right and dear --- they will destroy you.

 But if you play ball, if you follow their line of thinking, they will protect you.

If Miss Cal. had stated strong support for gay marriage - upsetting at least half the population by disagreeing with them so publically, the media would have praised her non-stop.  She would have been a hero of the people and invited to restate her opinion everywhere across the media and gotten strong endorsements from them all.

But, she didn't.  She spoke out clearly but in measured tones --- against the dominant opinino of the members of the press, who couldn't care less if such a large portion of the nation agrees with her ---- so they seek to destroy her.

The media has come to believe they are the standard bearers of what is right and just and noble in American society.  As such, it is their honor bound duty to promote those who promote good and crush those who promote evil.

Everything is a civil rights issue or natural rights or terribly vital issue for them...which justifies their pro-active use of bias to crush or defend people.

Palin, a pretty much unknown political figure to the bulk of the nation and media --- had to be destroyed in the most amazing way by the press across the spectrum - crushed as soon as her name was announced ----- because she was a woman - and that might have swung female voters toward McCain because Clinton was out and not Obama's VP pick.

And conversely, every time some big item arose that could threaten Obama's chance of victory, the media fought hard to keep it out of the public eye - and when it couldn't thanks to New Media sources - they did their best to protect Obama from damage.

This is our media today:  the champions of all they hold to be true and good in the world ---- and destoryers of whatever gets in its way.

The media does view itself as an organ of change for the better in society.  That it's goal and purpose are noble.  And woe to anyone who disagrees with them and stands a chance of influence public opinion. 

Little women can't be havin' those kinda choices, like... like their liberated! Next thing you know they'll demand an education and the vote!! 

Keep at it, CBS. This is of nat'l importance.

If CBS had put 10% of the effort they used on taking down a beauty contestant to examining Obama’s policies and affiliations during the campaign Barry Obama would now be a footnote in political history.

I'm disgusted that the POS Howard Trump hasn't lifted a finger to defend Prejean. I've lost any respect I might have had for him.

The self-labeled women's lib organizations on the other hand, I have never expected much from them so I'm not disappointed.

It's a lose-lose situation Miss California Pageant officials have placed themselves in once they started this "investigation." If they rule in Prejean’s favor, they incur the wrath of the Paris Hilton's, the gay community and the liberal elitists. If they rule against Prejean and strip her of her crown, they incur the wrath of conservatives (which frankly I don't think pageant officials care), pro-traditional-marriage groups (again, which I don't think pageant officias care) but in ruling against Prejean, they give her much more publicity, come off in the country's public opinion as being spiteful, petty, malicious and bowing to special interest groups who wish to destroy Prejean for merely having a differing viewpoint on an issue brought up via a question that was inappropriate for a beauty pageant asked in an intended ambush by an agenda-driven, petty, spiteful and malicious individual who should not have been placed on the judges panel to begin with. This stinks worse than rotting roadkill on a hot summer day. These blatant attempts to destroy Prejean will eventually backfire on those perpetuating them.

It's well-known that Christians don't like sex nor nudity.  Doesn't matter how great you look, keep those sack cloths on...oh, and cross your legs!

I must say that the hang ups over sex and nudity is an Achilles heel for the credibility of Christianity.  There are such things as decorum, discretion and taste.  Guess it carries over to Protestants from the Church in Rome-the whole guilt thing.

By Achilles heel I mean the idea that the people who voice their opposition to such things the loudest publicly are perhaps the most kinky privately and often find themselves in compromising trysts and are therefore publicly identified as hypocrites.  The standards they set for others that they couldn't hold to themselves, while at the same time condemning others is what muddies and smears the greater message about Man's relationship to Jesus and Salvation.

There are many kinds of love.  I just think that it is not healthy for anyone to fixate on Eros over the others especially love of God, but Eros should not be excluded either.

I called the Miss California USA organization myself. I talked to Keith Lewis, Co-Executive Director, K2 Productions. He was surprised at hearing about the CBS claim and assured me he was going to look into the allegations. 

In fact, Lewis has a PRESS RELEASE addressing this very issue:

"I am proud of Carrie Prejean’s beauty and placement at the 2009 MISS
USA pageant. I support Carrie’s right to express her personal beliefs
even if they do not coincide with my own. I believe the subject of gay
marriage deserves a great deal more conversation in order to heal the
