They were the most decorated unit in the war. But they loved America, even though they were treated badly. They had the best interests of America at heart. Can we say the same for Obama? IMHO, I don't think so.
I didn't watch the Obama infomerical, but I did see a clip on "The Factor" tonight. Obama is telling the folks that they earned their pensions and that it is their right to have them. All true.
Alot of us have a pension because we put into a 401K that our employers put money into to help build up out equity. And as the account grows so does out capital gains. And this is also true. But it is what Obama doesn't say in that video, that bothers me the most. He didn't say to these people that he was going to raise the capital gains tax, which would eat up a nice chunk of their savings.
What Obama did was lie to the American people by leaving out this information. And isn't it interesting that he keeps dropping (through the words spoken by his mouth pieces) the middle income maximum earnings rate (Gov Richardson said $120,000). Where will it be next? $100K? $75K? $50? Pretty soon, only the people who don't pay taxes will be getting a "tax break". Will Obama and his liberal rich friends be first in line to give up some of their millions?
We the People don't need Obama as POTUS. Elect McCain/Palin.
Remember folks, it's hard to soar with eagles when you are surrounded by a flock of turkeys.
