Bay Buchanan To Campbell Brown: This Hour Should Be Called 'The Anti-Sarah Show'

Photo of Kerry Picket.

On the look out for a Sarah Palin scandal, CNN on Friday examined the details of the jet Governor Palin put up on eBay.  CNN pounded away at the McCain campaign for claiming she sold it on eBay for a profit, but it was actually sold for a loss to a private buyer when the plane could not sell on the auction site.

Palin, in fact, did not lie or mislead about anything.  She simply said she put the plane up on eBay.

“That luxury jet was over the top, so I put it on eBay."

The jet was originally bought for 2.7 million dollars by Palin's predecessor, Frank Murkowski, and it was eventually sold to a private buyer for 2.1 million dollars. The point was that she sold the jet, because it was costing the taxpayers too much money, but CNN caught John McCain incorrectly saying she sold it at a profit.

Given McCain’s excitement when explaining the eBay story, it seemed more like a miscommunication between parties than anything else. Moreover, CNN appeared to be shaming Palin for selling the plane at a loss to a private buyer, when the plane could not sell on eBay.

Bay Buchanan set the record straight on this bogus story when she was on CNN with Campbell Brown:

BUCHANAN: And as for that plane she absolutely saved the taxpayers' money.  She got rid of it.  She didn't even use it. She moved on.  She didn't have expenditures on the budget line for the dumb plane.  So give her credit for something.  You know, Campbell you just did a piece.  You went to Alaska.

You said she has 80 percent popularity.  She is the most popular governor in the country by most count. Now you interviewed two or three people all who are her opponents, who don't like her... who she has ended up causing them to leave office or something.  Where are the others? For every two you that you found that don't like her there's another eight that like her, but you guys seem to have overlooked that.

(Crosstalk)

BROWN: We had a room full of people sitting there talking about how wonderful she was.  What are you talking about balance? We did an entire piece of people who support her.  That's entirely unfair.

BUCHANAN: It's not entirely unfair. You all have just gone over...this show...this hour should be called why she's not what she says she is...the "anti-Sarah" show. C'mon.

BROWN: Let's me go over to Paul.  Clearly, Bay Buchanan got the talking points from the McCain campaign.  You're very much on message tonight.

BUCHANAN: I never read talking points, Campbell.  I never read them and don't accuse me of such.

Paul Begala was not throwing a lifeline to Brown either. Even the former Clinton staffer agreed the eBay-plane story was a non-issue.

Brown might as well have called Buchanan "Baghdad Bob" when she resorted to accusing Buchanan of reading McCain campaign "talking points" the moment Buchanan set out the facts.

Brown more likely reacted this way toward Buchanan after realizing this story nose-dived as quickly as it was cobbled together.

What the heck is Campbell's

What the heck is Campbell's problem?

It's called Jealousy

It's called jealousy. Campbell is like a sorority sister angry that a prettier girl has come to campus.

Did anyone catch how angy Bay became when Campbell accused her of repeating "Republican talking points."?

Gravitas

The standard reply to any MSM mention of Republican talking points should be.....

"We don't need any talking points to give our message GRAVITAS!"

When asked if he went to war with Iraq  to derail the impeachment vote:  “I don’t think any serious person would believe that any President would do such a thing." - President Clinton (Dec 1998).

kappa kappa campbell

She's just trying to make a name for herself by being more outrageous...and at CNN, they cant have one of the stale old guys pushing these charges.

Campbell wants to be a serious news professional, but for me, it comes across not as "tough but fair", but "conceited and irritated" - she's moving quickly toward the jack cafferty school, but with nice hair and a sexy lisp.

maybe you're right, she doesnt like the new girl in town, but there's also an element of simply trying to stand out in the crowd...and that's more impt to her than her integrity.

it comes across not as

it comes across not as "tough but fair", but "conceited and irritated"

I would call it "smug and combative."

The thing that gets me

Is hasn't Brown ever heard of depreciation.  I mean The jet was originally bought for 2.7 million dollars by Palin's predecessor, Frank Murkowski, and it was eventually sold to a private buyer for 2.1 million dollars.

Looks to me like they got a good deal for it if it was a 23 year old plane that only dropped $600,000 in value.

The msm has no common sense

You ask any normal person and they would know that.Doesnt matter if it is a car or a computer as soon as you buy it.The value depreciates.

Forgive her!

She suffering from PDS (a mutated form of BDS)

Kerry

Kerry,

Thank you for posting this. I saw this segment as I was about to get on a plane in Phoenix Friday (my final leg from St. Paul). I was almost yelling in the airport.

Campbell has clearly gone to the dark side, and should be embarrassed. This was a disgraceful segment. However, as Newt told us all on Wednesday, we should be prepared for what the media are going to throw at us the next two months.  ns

This e-Bay thing won't be

This e-Bay thing won't be dropped by CNN. Look for Cafferty to pick it up, and for Blitzer to say to Cafferty "Thanks, Jack, another fine insight. We'll see where this goes".

we are in dangerous times

we are in dangerous times when someone in the press can take an obvious joking remark of selling planes on Ebay and then attempt to nitpick the action. making it into an argument. This Campbell Brown must be a total ass, when Paul Begala looks almost dignified sitting and speaking next to her. She has be a looney toon.

I wish though the tape ran longer and she continured to interview Bay as a cat fight could easily have broken out making the entire segment very enjoyable.

Enough!

Cut them off!No more interviews nothing! She did put it on ebay it was sold later thought to a buisness man..The bridge was 223 million and went up to 400 million and she said no.This is BS.If they take this then that is on them.Stick to local or Fox.Forget Mort but the rest are ok.Go on Greta. She is a liberal but she is fair.

Juan is also an

Juan is also an Obama disgrace on Fox. Up to now he's been giving lip-service to McCain and the repubs. But after Sara's introduction, notice that he is taking every opportunity to disparage her and McCain? If you haven't, then the next time he's on, watch closely. He no longer passes up an opportunity to make something up to bash them with.

TNT

I saw him friday I think and he was praiseing Sara.It wasnt just lip service.I sure he will be on Chris Wallace today so I will check it out.As far Michelle listening to what he said it wasnt so much about her as representing a black loving family. It sounded he was more interested in the role model aspect more than it being the Obama family.

TNT

Well watched him today and I was wrong.Your right it is just lip service.

I used to respect Juan

I used to talk about him with my husband, who doesn't watch the news like I do, and say how I didn't agree with his all of his opinions, but that he always seemed fair in his assessments. Then, after Gov. Palin was introduced, there was Juan, almost in tears, spewing the Dem's talking points in regards to the lack of vetting by Sen. McCain in regards to choosing Gov. Palin. I watched Juan all week, seeming like a different person than I usually saw in the panels.

(Yay on my husband for being as interested in the convention as I was) ,   After McCain's speech, Juan at first could not even look Brit in the eyes while he dissed McCain's speech. I was thinking, here is a man who truly does not believe what he is saying, so he cannot even muster up eye contact while he spews garbage.  Then, when he finally started to comment on good points about the speech, he then began to make eye contact with Brit.

Maybe I watch too many segments of "Body Language" on O'Reilly....

A plea for mercy

I like Juan Williams, although I rarely agree with him. Maybe I just have a gut feeling that he's honest. He's a liberal, and I'm sure he thinks he's fighting the good fight on enemy territory. I admire that. Tony Snow always spoke highly of him, so that counts for something with me. (I mean, who knows how these guys are off-camera? For all I know, Fred Barnes could be a cranky uncle, and Brit Hume giggles at Mad magazine. I never trust how they are on camera. Who knows?)

Williams has got to figure, though, that Obama represents the last chance for traditional liberal Democrats, and it looks like that plane is stalling and heading for freefall. He's got to be frustrated.

I love Bay

She's sticking it to them like Norman Bates. This is so rich.

Drill ANWAR

Campbell Brown got a

Campbell Brown got a smackdown from Buchanen and Begala of all people, on her obvious liberal bias. Too bad I cant' reach through the t.v. screen and choke the ever loving snot out of this dim-witted shrill Obamacon. The world would be a much better place.

She so much in the tank for Obama and the Democrats they should just call her 93 octane Brown

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious. "

- Ben Kenobi on  Liberals, and the MSM.

" The Cake is a lie."

You lost me at hello

I wasn't all that disturbed by Brown's comments, because I hadn't seen the piece they talked about. I don't know whether it was a hit piece or it was fair, so I didn't feel qualified to comment.

When she tossed off that asinine comment about getting talking points from the McCain campaign, that changed everything. Campbell Brown lost me.

You know, I get tired of these media whores who talk about McCain's houses and say that McCain "doesn't get it." And then they fail to grasp, and then casually dismiss, how angry conservatives get when they behave that way. The surest marker that they're raging liberals is that they "don't get" conservatives.

  • Joe Biden received glowing coverage when he was named to be the VP candidate. No mention of his vindictive prosecution of Clarence Thomas or Robert Bork. No mention of his plagiarism. No mention of the fact that this man who was supposed to be so qualified to be president ran twice, and to his humiliation, no one voted for him either time. (The only people who actually mentioned it were conservative pundits, when they were given airtime.) Biden is a senator whose foreign policy ideas were lunatic. He was the guy who assured us that breaking up Iraq into tribes would be the only way to solve the problem. The Iraqis themselves say that Biden's plan would have destroyed all hope of peace. And yet the mainstream media gave that clown a pass, laughing off his prima donna ignorance as so many lovable feet in his mouth.
  • Palin gets nominated, and the questions have been unrelentingly hostile. They began with the assumption that she wasn't qualified, and asked all their questions about her qualifications. It didn't (and as yet, hasn't) mattered that she is the only one of the four with any executive experience at all. They media does what they always do - when they don't like (or understand) the answers, they make up their own narrative.
    • Whenever possible, they interview each other as fellow experts, reinforcing whatever lie they believe. They never challenge themselves, avoiding accountability in every way. After a while, the lies become The Narrative.

They think it's fair when everything matches their expectations. The fact that they never examine their own expectations, when the American public consistently and firmly rejects those assumptions, is just a mystery to them. We don't we follow them? They "don't get it."

Your wrong

It aint just conservatives that are angry. There is alot of folks out there they dont like this BS.Those yutts in the msm may think most folks cant see their crap but they are frelling wrong also.My Aunt is a Diehard Democrat from MA and she likes Sara and is ticked off at how Sara has been treated.

So, McCain married a

So, McCain married a wealthy woman, so he "doesn't get it"????

Do they think he was born with seven houses?  His father wasn't an admiral when McCain was growing up either. And military life ain't a piece of cake either.  I know...at one point we moved five times in six years!

Your point about their interviewing each other is accurate.  Bernard Goldberg made the same point in his first book.  They go months without ever hearing an opposing opinion.

And their hostility toward is palpable.  One reporter (it was a woman) ended a piece on Palin with (paraphrasing) It all depends on what else we find out in Alaska.

How many houses does his pal Jon Bonjovi own?

Vote 4 change. Vote 4 anything. See Jack & Mr Shy's first campaign ad for the ONLY viable 3rd party candidate.

Right, Jack.  Democrats

Right, Jack.  Democrats hob-nob with the rich-and-famous (or used-to-be-famous), but of course they're "just plain folks" like the rest of us.  That is the grand hypocrisy of it all.

I guess it's OK as long as it's not "Oil" money. Or beer.

Mirror Game

If McCain doesn't get "it" because of some mythical number of homes he never had, the Obama will NEVER get "it" because he grew up in a foreign country.

I definitely get "it" - the way the Leftists play their shell game.

Quote by Obama at that multi million dollar fund raiser...

The Obama spent Friday night at the fabulous mansion of a vacuus mult-millionaire rock star.

Where he was quoted as saying,

"I hope you guys are up for a fight. I hope you guys are game because I haven’t been putting up with 19 months of airplanes and hotel food and missing my babies and my wife – I didn’t put up for that stuff just to come in second," he said…

Wow....  he has put up with the hob-nobbing with Hollywood and Oprah for 19 months. OH, The things he must do to be the "Chosen One"

'The surest marker that

'The surest marker that they're raging liberals is that they "don't get" conservatives.'

KC - One of the most insightful posts here so far.

Most liberal media (and current liberals in general) don't "get" Palin because they literally don't know anyone like her - or the millions of people she represents. I am often shocked at how often liberals are blind to the actual people around them who don't share their point of view.

When newsrooms or classrooms turn into ideological clubs, the few remaining conservatives in the room won't discuss their viewpoint in public for fear of ridicule or worse. I know of some who fear for their jobs.

Liberals, of all people, should know that if you disenfranchise people badly enough, they revolt.

i honestly think palin will put mccain in an excellent position

to win in november.

- the media bias since palin was brought forward is the worst i've EVER seen ... they aren't even being subtle about it ... and the public is irritated ... i think this attack policy could backfire bigtime.

- if palin was a "poor choice" for mccain, then why all the hoopla?  if your enemy makes a colossal mistake, you don't point it out, you just use it to your advantage to win ... yet, they are trying to destroy her.  if your enemy has a secret weapon, you try to neutralize it ... you don't go this far to destroy a dud.  the polls support palin as being a plus.

- obama appears to be in a frenzy over palin ... i think he actually sees his "sure bet" slipping away.  he and his supporters are coming across as sexist ... i'm sure even liberal woman are offended at the attacks on palin and her family.  people don't necessarily vote for political reasons ... obama's camp is looking more like the "wolf in sheep's clothing" ... i'll bet anyone that the pro-obama attack on palin will cost him quite a few votes in november.

- obama is now doing what he said he wouldn't do ... participate in "gutter politics" ... another tool that i think mccain should use to prove obama doesn't represent change, but a continuation of political rancor that has bottlenecked gov't forever.

- i think the pressure is going to be on biden for the vp debate ... he's going to have to tow a fine line with being the attack dog and in the same light, not come across as sexist.  for an egomaniac like biden, not an easy task.

- mccain hasn't even touched the whole bill ayers, rev. wright, tony rezco thing ... if mccain doesn't go after obama on these issues, i think he'd hand the election over to obama.  those issues deserve more scrutiny than the sexual activities of a 17 year old girl.

- i think there is a significantly larger number of conservative leaning people in the country.  if that weren't the case, how did the "worst president in history" maul john kerry by 3.5 million votes?

- the fact that the 2006 congressional election of change has proven that democrats can't lead or follow through on the promises they made to get elected.  a 9% approval rating and taking a 5 week vacation instead of debating drilling for oil isn't going to help obama.

- the polls didn't favor bush in 2004

- can anyone ever remember a presidential candidate making such a consertive effort to prove himself as more experienced ... than the opposition's VP candidate?

if one looks deeper than a CNN or NBC headline, obama has a harder road to victory than it appears.

tumbleweed

When Palin debates Biden I expect him to get so flustered that those hair plugs of his shrivel, curl and blow away like tumbleweed.

Damn! How appropriate. Biden left with the 'toilet seat' hairline, to perfectly compliment his liberalism.

But this is serious. Is she qualified?

I'm waiting for the story that questions Palin's ability to handle the time change and sunlight/darkness difference that exists between Alaska and Washington DC.

Come on media you know you want to ask!

Keep it up fools. Keep driving people to McCain/Palin

MAC IS BACK! MAC IS BACK!

I'm still waiting for

I'm still waiting for someone to ask why they send all these reporters to Alaska, but Stanley Kurtz is the only one in the University of Illinois. I don't get it.

The ebay story provides a

The ebay story provides a clear picture of who Palin is.  It was a luxury that she saw as a waste.  And when you calculate the cost to hire the pilots, the fuel, the maintenance, over the four years of her term as governor, it breaks pretty much even...if not at a profit.

Is it just me...

...or has Bay Buchanan gotten hotter in the past couple of years?

that the MSM has retorted about "Republican

line when talking/interviewing someone (I don't remember whom) the other day.
They are definitely in panic mode with this lady and all of their partisan bias is
overflowing for everyone to see.

Olbermann's fair right?

It should be called the anti-Sarah network. Oh wait thats MsNBC. Oh wait, that's NBC. Oh wait, that's CBS. Oh wait, that's CNBC. Oh well I'm sure that I'll find unbiased journalism in the NYT or LAT. GAHHHH!

You support the troops by supporting the mission! If you don't support the mission, have the guts to say you don't support the troops.

Just another installment of

Just another installment of the 'Campbell Brown Debate Series.'

As Maha Rushie says,

"Words mean things."

Governor Palin's exact quote from her acceptance speech last week was, "I put it on Ebay."  That's an acurate statement.  The jet was indeed placed for auction on Ebay but was sold through other channels.

Geez, how some guy from Council Bluffs, Iowa can get that and an allegedly professional journaist like Campbel Browncan't is mind boggeling.  Bias aside, it's damned lazy.

"Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain." Official Motto of the State of Iowa

I'm a Republican female who knows how to use Ebay.

Good comment!

Governor Palin said she put the plane on Ebay.  Yes.  I understand that.  I've listed things on Ebay before that for whatever reason didn't sell by the deadline or for the minimum price.

You'd think that Democrats and the liberal media think that we Republicans are all dirt poor and stupid country bumpkins who don't know what a computer is.

But, hey, folks, I run my own successful business on Apple computers, own stock in Apple, have iPhones, iPods, several websites and blogs, and a law degree. (And my husband is a Ph.D. from one of the best universities in the nation.)

Sorry we don't quite fit the mold the liberal media would have everyone believe Republicans fit (as ignorant, gun slinging, bible toting, war mongering, country bumpkins), but that's who we are.

As for Sarah Palin, I think she's marvelous.  A breath of fresh air and a very smart cookie.  You go girl! (And she's doing all this with heels on--and that's tough to do all day, believe me.)

I can't wait until Sarah Palin debates Joe Biden.  Get the popcorn ready!

I have never before donated to politician campaigns, but this time, I'm donating money every month. I'd like to encourage every person who wants to vote for McCain to donate--even if it's $10.

you go attorney girl!

I agree with everything you said.  I donated for the first time to Bush in 2004 and had not intended on donating this time until Palin was announced.  I gave on the day she was announced and the day after her speech and plan on giving more.

I'm not sure if it's best to give to the RNC now or what - they can only accept to that compliance fund (that's where my last donation went)  because of the public funds thing.  I need to look into it more.  If anyone knows please advise.

attorneygirl...  "As for

attorneygirl...

"As for Sarah Palin, I think she's marvelous.  A breath of fresh air and a very smart cookie"

Absolutely a breath of fresh air. Barring any big problems popping up, I see Gov. Palin as the future of the GOP. And it could not come at a better time. She may very well be the female version of Ronald Reagan for this century.

Bay vs Campbell

Although I might agree that Bay did a good job of smacking down Ms Brown, she could/should have gone further. Our 'ombudsmans' that go on these shows should start speaking up more and louder, and call them on their left wing lies and innuendos. I dont know if 'our' side is worried they wont be asked back, and they won't get the 'face' time; or they're all a bunch of weenies and all go out to dinner afterwards and talk about what a great job they all did.
IMHO, they(We) are not doing enough of going after them.

Why change the formula now?

It's the same template the MSM used with GWB, and Iraq, and 9/11, and Katrina, and ....

Find a few disgruntled voices and report them as if they are the ONLY voices (9/11 Breitbart widows, anti-Bush Katrina victims, Cindy Sheehan, etc).

Give 24/7 coverage of any (R) dirt, no matter how insignificant, even if it is just rumor or "blog" gossip.

Suppress any (D) dirt until the internet exposes it to the point it may begin to affect the (D) voter base.    At this point, begin defending the (D) and tell us what they "really meant to say" or why what they did is not a big deal.  This began during the Clinton scandals.

Remain on the attack, keep the (R) side on the defensive.   When trying to create the appearance of "scandal", it always helps when the (R) side always has to be defending itself, even if the charges are bogus.

Once the charge has been exposed as bogus, quickly move on to the next bogus charge.

When a tactic has been soooo successful, why change?

The Right has known this for a long time.  Some of the Left got a taste of it with the Hillary vs. Obama coverage. Hopefully, the Palin coverage will be the MSM's Waterloo.

When asked if he went to war with Iraq  to derail the impeachment vote:  “I don’t think any serious person would believe that any President would do such a thing." - President Clinton (Dec 1998).

How right you are!

CNN has shrewdly made a conscious decision that the attack dog in this anti-Palin circus is going to be their most prominent prime-time female "journalist" (sarcasm).

They want to somehow insulate themselves from charges of sexism by having this goon Campbell Brown running the charade.  In a larger sense, this is exactly what the NObama campaign is doing by employing Sebilius and Hillary Clinton.

Campbell is simply doing hit job after hit job on Palin and it is obvious to anyone with half a brain.  Her unfairness knows no bounds, and she knows it.  Her plane story is a non-story. Putting it up for sale is not the same as selling it, as every one with a house on the market knows.

Ask Campbell if she gets as frisky when Barry O does a TRUE 180 on wiretapping, the surge, and has plenty of associates like Ayers, Wright, etc.  Think Campbell will have her snide remarks and her obvious facial expressions of hate/anger when an Obama aide answers?  I didn't think so!

Well, Campbell you just got Olbermanned or Rathered!  Either way, you just lost all of your journalistic credentials, all of them!  Go to Kos or Dem Underground for your only remaining supporters.

Trial lawyers are the scum of the earth

Hey MSM, "You Can't handle the TRUTH !!" and it is showing

This is the MSM self destruction. . .  one talking head at a Time.  There will be "New" employment opportunities for replacement workers at the MSM.

As the polls come forth and show what America prefers in the Presidential race, it will be followed by MSM ratings showing what Americans prefer NOT TO WATCH in Presidential Candidate coverage (assasination).

We like to watch the TRUTH, and the MSM is NOT providing an unbiased truthful look at what the Rasmussuin and Zogby polls are showing as American's preferred candidate.

The MSM is pissin against the wind, you don't pull  on superwoman's Cape, and you don't mess around with a War hero.

I loved your posting.

Let's have the Republican Revolution online, on radio, and ultimately, in voting booths across the country.

Originality Sin

With the so called creative community behind the DNC one would think that they'd come up with their own lingo.

"Flip-flop" defines John Kerry.

"Talking Points" define the MSM's hit piece de jour.

"Rock Star" defines how the press covers Barack Hussein Obama.

"Barracuda" defines a fish who eats Barackisms for breakfast.

Campbell is clearly CNNsane

To quote Monty Python "she's a silly bunt; I cahn't say say the letter c."

Down, Brownie! Sit!

Brown is in over her head.  She was hired from one of those fluffy morning shows where her adoring interviews of Democratic politicians resembled a puppy in heat eagerly humping the leg of a guest.

As a CNN political coverage anchor in prime time, her lack of depth is amplified with each appearance.  Instead of becoming a better journalist over time, she seems to have taken a detour to Chris-Matthews-town.

The good news is that as long as CNN allows her to interview conservatives, there will be opportunies to torpedo her shallow arguments.

BROWN: But She's "implying" Bay that this was her position

all along...

And you "imply" that you're a fair and objective news anchor every night, and Not a card-carrying Democrat, Or the daughter of convicted felon and former Democrat Party Senator, James H. "Jim" Brown, Campbell.

You wanna take the gloves off "sweetie"? Fine! Bring It On!

Oh I was lucky and caught

Oh I was lucky and caught this segment live....Bay was GREAT!

She made a fool out of that wide-slit mouthed Brown!

I loved it...been waiting a long time....

I wish Bay also would have

I wish Bay also would have pointed out:

1) The MSM anchors and interviewers are posing questions phrased using language indistinguishable from DNC talking points and DKOS comments.

2) All the MSM research, stories, and reports have never managed to discover anything positive to say about Sarah personally or her performance. All are scandal and gotcha based and are meant to denigrate her. All they have done so far is to pore through the reports about Sarah, ignoring any positive press, in hope of finding another nugget they can bash her with.

3) None of the MSM anchors and interviewers have corrected a Obama supporter when they spout a tired line about Sarah that has been disproven days before -- like the her supposed advocacy for teaching of Creationism, banned library books, etc.

4) None of their 'research' ever delves into the story behind the so-called 'scandal.' I saw Greta's report tonight and she related that Sarah went to many colleges because her parents had all four kids in college at the same time so money for school was tight. She also found out that the sole reason Sarah was in the beauty pageants to try to earn scholarship money. None of the MSM 'reporters' ever bothered to find out WHY she went to multiple schools and entered beauty pageants.

5) Finally, she should've asked Campell why Sarah  (as with all female or minority Republicans), does not have her life story or accomplishments portrayed in the gushingly positive, uplifting, and historic way the MSM always treats any woman or minority figure?

liberal twist

Yup more of the liberal twist, they have to dance around and twist the truth because they know she is the real deal. All she said was she put it on e-bay, I never heard her say it sold on e-bay, and McCain is the one who got the selling price wrong...ask him don't dance around the truth. Bay is a strong person and I am glad she spoke up about the bias on CNN....I never watch anymore, They need to clean it up like MSNBC...well they are just pretending to clean it up but it is a starting point..maybe...no real change there.

Campbell Brown is soooo biased it's sad

Wow!!!!

Three cheers for Bay Buchanan.  She took a bite out of Campbell Brown.  And good!

I've emailed CNN many times over Campbell Brown and Larry King's outright unfair and unbiased "reporting" on air.

I expect this kind of biased crapola from King, because he's, well, old, sad, mean, heartless and has no soul, but I had hoped that a younger female such as Campbell Brown would have some kind of brain--but apparently she does not.

(Hey, if Campbell wants to live in a universe where all women must have abortions, or if they choose to have children, must stay home and live in a dark closet coming out only to cook and clean, then she has a right to live in that world, but I don't.)

I'm thrilled at Sarah Palin's accomplishments--at home and the office.

And I know what I'm talking about, I'm a professional female with my own law practice and a happy marriage and homelife.  These all take work, work, work and talent.

Go Sarah.

And God bless John McCain and Sarah Palin.

God bless America!

(Yes, I'm patriotic.  And proud of it.)

Lie vs Gaffe

If a republican makes a verbal mistake it is a LIE.

If a democrat makes a verbal mistake it is a gaffe.

If a democrat tells a lie, it is mispeaking and it's Bush's fault.

I remember when CNN used to hire objective journalists

In many of their reports it was hard to tell if the reporter had bias for one side or the other. That was 10 years ago (or more). Now, they are only slightly more ballanced than MSNBC.

At least FoxNews tries to have people from both sides of the story on at the same time. It's usually not the reporter versus the talking head like it usually is on CNN now.

When are the American public going to wake up and realize that the Main Stream Media and most of the cable news outlets are actively trying to mold public opinion, not report news anymore? Oh, wait... is that the reason that most of the MSM have declining ratings and the big news papers are losing subscriptions hand over fist?

If the country is split roughly 50/50 (as the last two presidential elections show) and ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, AP, NY Times, LA Times, WA Po, etc., are all out to get a % of the liberal 50% of the country... who is trying to get a % of the conservative 50% of the country? FoxNews, Wash. Times, National Review, Wall Street journal? Seems to me it's a wide open market. If these media execs would get over their own personal ideology for a second, they would see that there is lots of $$ to be made.
I guess that's why they all hate Rupert Murdoch so much.

The day that "politician" became a career choice is the day we started losing the Republic. Let's get it back! Alan Keyes '08.

Campbell Brown:  CNN's

Campbell Brown:  CNN's female version of Keith Olbermann.  I say, "GET RID OF HER"...

To steal a line...

To steal a line... "Bad job, Brownie."

Vote 4 change. Vote 4 anything. See Jack & Mr Shy's first campaign ad for the ONLY viable 3rd party candidate.

Yes it was at a profit

Where people get that point wrong is you have to consider the depreciation of a used jet aircraft.

If you look it up you can find the 'blue book value' for that aircraft.

Then you compare the sales price to the blue book price.

Profit does not mean more than original cost.
