WaPo Hints D.C. Occupiers Potentially Violent, Praises Park Service's Appeasement
In an editorial today entitled "Make way for the occupiers"* the Washington Post praised the National Park Service for extending a permit for the left-wing protesters behind the End the Machine protests at Freedom Plaza that briefly shut down the Air & Space Museum last Saturday after a security incident.
"If any city should go the extra mile to accommodate free expression, it's Washington, D.C.," the Post noted, before getting to the real reason why the paper is glad the Park Service gave protesters a permit lasting until December 30. The group could become violent otherwise, the paper's editorial board hinted:
Since Thursday, hundreds of protesters aligned with the Oct. 6 Coalition and other groups decrying war, economic disparities, money in politics and other causes have occupied the Pennsylvania Avenue plaza just east of the White House. A permit for the protest expired Monday, and park officials, no doubt mindful of the ugly scenes of like-minded protesters being arrested in other cities, sought to reach some agreement with the group.
After recounting and partially excusing the short-lived Hart Senate Office Building "occupation" and Air & Space incident, the editorial board concluded that so far the occupiers have been good neighbors, the public don't seem to mind and as such "the protesters should be given their space."
It's hard to imagine the Washington Post would be this tolerant if the camped-out protesters were Tea Party folks or Ron Paul devotees calling on Congress to "end the Fed."
*the WashingtonPost.com headline was markedly different: "For Freedom Plaza protesters, freedom reigns."

Gee, "ugly scenes", isn't that a liberal dog whistle for racist eliminationist rhetoric?
Give it time.

Right now the sixties nostalgia is in full swing. Tourist buses stop at Zuccotti Park and people get off to take pictures but they get right back on again and take their business elsewhere. The occupiers things (laptops and other expensive equipment) are being stolen. Their food is being consumed by people who are just there for the food. Businesses in the square are really feeling the hurt. Eventually the novelty will wear off and people will start avoiding these places. And in the northern states it will get quite, quite cold.
Incidently there are more than 100 listed communes in existence in the US. People from these places should be at these events handing out information.
Finally!

Tax Payer Dollars At Work
Submitted by Utherpend on Wed, 10/12/2011 - 4:48pm.
Once again the tax dollars of the people who work are being used to support those who dont work and demand more from the same government that already gives too much.
And they will leave the place trashed and disgusting.

The before and after pictures of tea party rallies are evidence enough of that.
These filthy, feckless and gormless occubrats will ultimately resort to vandalism and other criminal activities when the media gets over its 60s-reminiscence orgasm.

Sub-human?

I'd like to call the illegal Occupiers sub-human, but even felines know to clean themselves and bury their feces, and they earn their keep by being good mousers. So, I'll have to settle for calling the illegal Occupiers 'sub-feline'.

does the WAPO mean "might spit on someone, or call them a name?" For the Tea Party, the mere suggestion that this might have happened (and it DID NOT, mind you), still resonates with the communists today. Exhibit Nancy Pelosi's comments regarding Eric Cantor 2 days ago: “I didn’t hear him say anything when the tea party was out demonstrating, actually spitting on members of Congress right here in the Capitol, and he and his colleagues were putting signs in the windows encouraging them".
But of course -- the WAPO ignores their own duplicity in reporting, and actually accepts this bitch's comments at face value.

Who is paying for all the extra police and support? Shouldn't the organizers pay for this? I know that any conservative group would be asked to pay. I found out that Dallas is being occupied right now, really close to where JFK was shot. I toy with the idea of going down there and seeing and smelling them.

Keep it up, you little ingrate twerps. You're the perfect poster children for who the adults intend to keep far away from the levers of any kind of power and authority.
Now, just wipe the drool from your chins and wait for the next available adult to change your diaper (with a size-16 combat boot!).
Have a nice day!
