NPR Blogger: Obama Like Jesus with Call to 'Pass This Bill'

We couldn't make this stuff up if we wanted to.
Yesterday NPR blogger Frank James saw a parallel between President Obama's rally cry to a supporter to help him pass his "jobs bill" with Jesus's charge to the apostle Peter to "feed my sheep" (h/t Michael Ganoe):
The realities of governing as opposed to the unrealities of presidential campaigns may have made President Obama a much more human figure compared with the almost messiah-like status he had in the eyes of many supporters in 2008.
But that doesn't mean there still isn't the occasional moment reminiscent of a Bible story.
At a rally on the campus of North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C. Wednesday where President Obama went to drum up support for his jobs bill, this happened.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: I love you, Barack!
THE PRESIDENT: I love you back. (Applause.) But first — but if you love me — if you love me, you got to help me pass this bill. (Applause.) If you love me, you got to help me pass this bill.
Here's John 21:15, the New International Version, describing a scene between Jesus and his disciples:
When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,"Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?"
"Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you."
Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."
But then again, I guess this isn't all that surprising coming from the high priests of liberalism at NPR.

Christ wasn't telling Peter to give them food stamps. He was talking about spiritual food, the Word of God. Christ ask him three times. It is believed he did this because Peter denied him three times. In the original laguage each time he ask he asked it stronger, like Peter are we friends? Peter do you like me? Peter do you love me. That is a loose paraprhase.

A major flawed analogy on the part of Frank James. But it overtly reveals the messianic cloak of which many liberals place on Obama but the reality it, in Biblical terms, that Obama is actually a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Evidently, Majority Leader Reid appears not be in any rush to "Pass The Bill Now." News accounts suggest that he will not take it up until next month. And that's only if he can quell a number of Democrat Senators who have problems with Obama's $477 mini stimulus bill.

I notice the words of Jesus were usually about changing one's life for the better, He spoke out of a concern that a person's life could and would get better, an ultimate freedom either in this plane or definitely the next. Whereas He strove to make people better, Obama seeks to ruin, despair, separate, and anger people.
