Tucson Newspaper Political Cartoonist Fantasized About Obama Sending SEALs to Assassinate Tea Party Republicans
Today Tucson congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) cast her first vote since she was critically injured in a January shooting.
You'll recall that in the weeks that followed, the media bemoaned the incivility -- supposedly predominantly conservative in nature -- of the political debate which had allegedly created a climate of hate.
But there appears to to be no firestorm over how, just last week, Arizona Daily Star cartoonist David Fitzsimmons fantasized about President Obama sending a SEAL team to assassinate Tea Party-friendly House Republicans.

NEVER.
I refused to be bullied and and condescended to by liberals (I could repost some of it here, but I won't....you all know my style, and know who had the upper hand at the end of the convo)....I guess the rest of my Gator pals over there were shocked that I'd not "roll over" for an "old and respected poster" and let the liberal win because I am the nOOb there. Shocking, I know.
The whole episode has me in a total war against liberals and liberalism. Wherever, and whenever I encounter them.
When liberals publish s**** like this, and the VP calls us "terrorists"....that, my friends, is the call to battle.
Never waver. Never surrender. Smite them with your logic and sound arguments. Don't let them ever get away with one of their talking points. Disarm them, undress them...and leave them standing with their naked Emperor, Obama.

Boehner does not seem to realize this is war. Why negotiate with PROVEN liars? Demand balancing the budget in 7-8 yrs. & explain why to the PUBLIC. Uh, where did they do that? THAT would save the credit rating. Speak and explain in simple terms too: I think our debt is 7x our income (?), so if the interest rates go up, we will be in debt forever. That is like making $100K yr. and buying a $700K home. Not too smart as if rates go to 10%, you have a $70K interest bill and $30K for EVERYTHING else, including principal payments! If 30% of our GNP income went to the debt principal it will take 24 years to pay it off (700K/30K=24). We are paying ZERO to pay it off since we INCREASE debt each year! This is all very simple to understand & the public will understand.

Yup, skewer them at every opportunity and then roast them to a crisp on the spit of sound argument, piling a growing, smoldering layer of facts and logic on the fire and even ridicule them at the intellectual vacuity of their case.

Andrea Mitchell: "There has always been anger and animus in among leaders and among the followers — the rank and file, the caucus. But these new members really are willing to tear the place down. And they not only don’t care whether or not are re-elected — they don’t want pork (laughs). There are no inducements to get them to follow the speaker or the other leaders. So they don’t want the traditional methods of buying loyalty here and that was a reform that now has changed the dynamic."
In other words, they are serving their constituents in the manner that they promised to do and that got them elected. I can see why that's a threat to Washington.
Imagine, Hill dwellers who are actually more concerned about getting things done than they are about their own reelections.
Mitchell's last sentence is the clincher. While Obama promised to change the way Washington does business and failed to deliver, the Tea Party Republicans actually are affecting change. But Mitchell sees them as menacing, "threatening to tear the place down."
Brian Williams: All right, Andrea Mitchell from our Washington newsroom. Wish there was better news to report to folks especially about our era in government.
It sure is bad news when politicians do what they promised they would do. Of course, that's not bad news for the country; it's bad news for the chummy political and media elites.
Thanks, Galvanic

Although he is denying it now, there have been rumors floating that Vice President Biden described Tea Party activistists as terrorists. Although it has been a popular theme of late and he is surely jumping on the bandwagon, at least he didn’t call us racists.
Surprisingly, this slight is the least of what is coming out of Biden’s mouth these days.
While the nation is celebrating the return of Gabriel Giffords to the House chamber, Biden does what only Biden can do….
ABC reports:
Vice President Joe Biden, with a big smile on his face, walked to the House floor and said, “I came to see Gabby, that’s why I’m here.”
…When Biden was asked about what he spoke with Giffords about, he joked, “She’s now a member of the cracked head club like me.”
It would be impossible to make this stuff up!

It seems the American left uses "humor" as its defense against repugnant behavior. Anything that is outrageous becomes "satire", "comical" or whatever convenient synonym they find to describe such garbage. In psychiatry, we call that deflection and use it as a diagnostic hallmark for a number of different disorders. Alternatively, some of us older psychiatrists call it "mendacious", which translates into "lie" in common parlance.
