MSNBC's Bashir Defends Media Not Hitting Obama for Gaffes
With apologies to King Solomon, as a dog returns to its vomit, so a biased MSNBC anchor repeats his tired talking points. [video follows page break]
On the June 14 edition of his eponymous program, conservative New York Daily News columnist S.E. Cupp hit Martin Bashir for marveling at Rep. Michele Bachmann's (R-Minn.) June 13 debate performance, given her history of gaffes.
At the time, Cupp reminded Bashir of President Obama's "corpseman" gaffe and two of Vice President Biden's gaffes. Today, Bashir had Cupp back on to discuss the 2012 Republican presidential primary race and again raised the issue of Bachmann's gaffes. Once again, Cupp defended Bachmann by noting that all politicians make gaffes on the campaign trail.
But Bashir doubled down on his complaint, offering a defense of why he and others in the media don't remind Americans of every gaffe that President Obama or other Democrats make (emphasis mine):
BASHIR: I guess the difference though is that the President and Mr. Biden haven't been running around draping themselves in the flag and claiming to be originalists who were going to return the country to its original greatness, and suddenly these people are making comments that one would think they'd know were true or otherwise.
CUPP: No, but the president has been propped up by folks in the media and on the Left as some soaring intellectual big brain and in fact he's made a number of gaffes.
Just recently he misidentified a Medal of Honor recipient as someone who received this medal while he was still alive and in fact received it posthumously. He made this mistake in front of the deceased soldier's parents. That's embarrassing.
The point is, these are mistakes. People are human. Michele Bachmann included.

Hell no, because they aren't! They have no intention of even seeing this Republic survive their reign of terror. Bat Shiite knows damned well that his "brother" and his court poodle, Joey are soul brothers in the destruction of this country.
Remember the famous campaign promise? "We are going to fundamentally transform this country." Was that ever an understatement, and yet over half of the morons in this country don't see what is coming.

Jeez Bubba, that was really a 'racist' statement - the one about the spade!!! I got into some trouble here a few months ago by one of the homeroom moniters for saying something like that - although I didn't back down, since it's an old statement and has true meaning in this context!!
And you're right, the 'we are going to fundamentally TRANSFORM this country' is actually one of the most HONEST things that has ever spewed out of Boy Blunders big purple lips!!! I've brought that up numerous times, both here and with various dopey libs that I know.........and guess what??

Bashir concedes that the media treats Obama and gaffe-king Biden separately because they don't like Bachmann's message. Of course, those who accept Bachmann but reject Obama are consciously or subconsciously racists in the media's assessment.

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon putting together a hit list of Obama's Greatest Gaffes.....including links of videos, pics, and articles.
Mostly as a reference, but when one looks at the sheer volume (I think I counted 43, and I'm sure I missed a couple) vs. Michele Bachmann's.
As for Bashir, D'oh.....Michele Bachmann never said "We are the people we've been waiting for " (and somehow, that's one of the ones I missed! Drat.
