Our MRC Gala and DisHonors Awards Recap (with Video)
Sorry, Chris Matthews, maybe next year.
You'd think the MSNBC "Hardball" host would be a shoo-in for the Media Research Center's annual "Obamagasm Award," but the 2011 prize went to Evan Thomas of Newsweek for declaring the president "stand[s] above the country, above — above the world. He’s sort of God."
The "Obamagasm award" was just one of a handful of DisHonors mockingly awarded journalists and Hollywood lefties Saturday night at the 2011 Media Research Center Gala and DisHonors Awards.
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, columnist and author Ann Coulter, radio host Neal Boortz, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Red State blogger Erick Erickson were among the conservative heavyweights participating in the festivities.

Since a lot of us can’t attend this event, why don’t you set up some kind of a “pay-per-view” live broadcast of the event on this website. I’d pay a few bucks to see the entire event live.

This is great. Matthews would probably be proud to be named for an "Obamagasm" - or any award by the MRC - who I'm sure he considers "right wing nuts". Don't give him anything. Make him the Susan Lucci of the Media Dishonor Awards. It'll drive him crazy - er - crazier.

My connection at work is too slow to watch video so I'll watch later. My only question is who won the Pinocchio award? If there isn't one it would be a good award to give if the judges could settle on one winner out of all the worthy(?) contestants in the Obama propaganda media.
