WaPo Hypes Planned Parenthood As Rural Health Care Provider

Last week I noted how the Washington Post hyped Planned Parenthood as a provider of community health services in the District of Columbia although there were plenty of other full-service free or low-cost health clinics in the District run by other non-profit groups.

Today the Post is at it again, presenting Planned Parenthood as a crucial provider of health services in rural states like Montana.

But yet again, a quick Internet search shows Planned Parenthood isn't the only game in Big Sky Country when it comes to health clinics for the poor.

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

Planned Parenthood has only 12 centers in the Treasure State, seven of which only offer "birth control services" and "emergency contraception." Of the five others, most are located in larger cities: two in Billings, one in Great Falls, on in Missoula, and one in the state capital of Helena.

By contrast, the Montana Primary Care Association has community clinics in those cities as well as Libby, Kalispell, Cut Bank, Havre, Chinook, Lewistown, Miles City, Ashland, Butte, and Livingston. MPCA also runs 11 "satellite" centers in small towns like Eureka (population 998) and West Yellowstone. (population 1,502).

What's more, these clinics typically offer a wide range of medical services regardless of ability to pay. Here, for example, is the list of services for the clinic in Libby, population 2,880:

Don't let anyone be fooled,

Submitted by jdhawk on Tue, 04/19/2011 - 12:39pm.

Don't let anyone be fooled, Planned Parenthood doesn't counsel couples regarding parenthood at all. They are the leading operator of abortion clinics. Those clinics habitually don't council woman agasint abortion, they reguarly attemtp to hide their practice to parents of girls seeking abortion, they provide contraception devices to children.

Here is what their main business does: http://www.abortionno.org

Drowning kittens, beating your dog, not feeding your horse in most states will get you arrested, tried and jailed. Not so, when it comes to taking human life. So long as it is in the womb of the mother, it is gaime on!

The riskist thing that a kid faces in America today is being aborted before ever being born. If you happen to be in the womb of an African-American woman, your liklihood of being aborted are up to 70%!

And, we the taxpayers, are aiding and abetting the killing of children by providing this organization with taxpayer morney.

Please take up PP in person & ask for services. Record & post.

Submitted by MaximusBraveheart on Tue, 04/19/2011 - 12:58pm.

I suggest everyone who has some time & desire to go visit one of these places & record your time on your cell phone record function. Try to get these other services (and what Reid said about his family) & say you read about them being available in the newspaper and from Harry Reid on TV all angry. Ask them why they think the paper & Reid says this if they don't have it.
