Contessa Brewer Cheers 'Preach It!' After Clip of Former Sen. Simpson (R-Wyo.) Denouncing GOP 'Homophobes'
Every once in a while the folks at MSNBC can get a thrill for a Republican. It just has to be one who's denouncing the right people, you see.
Take Contessa Brewer, who today yelled "Preach It!" in enthusiastic agreement after showing her audience a clip of "truth teller" former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) excoriating the "homophobes" in his party:
CONTESSA BREWER: And speaking of truth tellers, former Republican senator Alan Simpson pulls no punches. Here he is with Chris Matthews last night on Hardball railing against the new crop of social conservatives in the Republican Party.
SIMPSON from April 11 "Hardball," first clip: We have homophobes in our party. That's disgusting to me. We're all human beings. We're all God's children.
SIMPSON, second clip: I'm not sticking with people who are homophobic, anti-women, you know, moral values while you're diddling your secretary, while you're giving a speech on moral values, c'mon, get off of it.
BREWER: Preach it! Simpson served as a senator from Wyoming for eighteen years.
Of course, social conservatives are nothing new to the GOP, nor is the sometimes palpable tension between them and the more libertarian-minded like former Sen. Simpson.
But to cheer on Simpson denouncing social conservatives as "homophobes" and "anti-women" is beyond the pale for an ostensibly objective reporter like Brewer.
Then again, Brewer has been known to drop all pretense of objectivity when it comes to issues pertaining to "gay rights."

The difference between Fox and MS from NBC is...

Fox News ANCHORS don't let their personal ideologies get mixed in to their reporting. Their OPINION guys (I call them 'wags' -- people like Beck, O'Rielly, and Hannity) may lean one way or the other, but everybody knows that they're OPINION GUYS -- NOT ANCHORS! We know where they're coming from. Beck even tells you straight out that he's conservative, and views the world from that context.
Does Contessa see herself as a wag, or an anchor? Will she admit to her viewers that she is indeed a liberal, or even libertarian? Maybe she should come out of the closet and be honest with her viewers for a change. (that was an intentional choice of words, considering her rampant activism during her telecasts)

Sounded like he wasn't a fan of Ted Kennedy. Brewer is not hot, she is extremely ugly.
A new UCLA Study shows only

A new UCLA Study shows only 3.5 Percent of U.S. is Homosexual/Lesbian
Pioneer sexologist Alfred Kinsey boldly claimed in the 1940s that 10 percent of Americans were gay -- based on his limited personal experience and using prisoner populations. The media have latched onto that figure ever since.
UCLA's multiple surveys, taken from 2004 to 2010, to come up with a more multifaceted total of 9 million lesbians, gays and bisexuals in the U.S. -- and it's way lower than the "1 in 10" figure the LGBT community was running on. Contessa must be furious!
Frank... It's not even that many!

I saw several articles quoting from that same study where they say the results were quoted to be 4 million Americans who were what I will call "hardcore gay"
There's this... and this... this... this... ...and this...
and finally for some spin, we have this, and this.
The point is that the other side always claimed that 1 in 10 Americans were gay. If you read the above links, you'll realize that they've lopped in bi's and those merely experimenting with same-sex relationships among that 10% figure. The truly gay numbers less than 2 percent, which is what I've often suspected. Then this Gates guy, who conducted the study, cops out on the results saying that he's not sure if his numbers are accurate. Typical! At least he was honest about the results.
Do we understand what this means? If this is true, it means that the gay community has been lying about their demographics for decades! What else could they have been lying about? Maybe perhaps that they're not actually "born this way?" These results seriously compromise the LGBT cultural myth that it's 'normal' to be gay. No wonder this Gates fellow wants to walk this thing back.
Look. Call me a homophobe if you want. I don't care! That's just a label, and its been used so often by the progressives, it has become meaningless to me. I just want the truth. I believe that gays and lesbians are just as entitled to inalienable rights as any human. Having said that, I believe that there is some "discrimination" that is justifiable, and when it comes to marriage, I'm sorry, but the sky is not green (at least not under normal conditions), no matter how many times someone might say that it is.

Simpsonbabe,
a phobia is an irrational fear of something. Homosexuals don't replenish humanity, spread disease and destroy families through co-option. Our "fears" are quite rational.

Simpson, a classic RINO, should be in the home. Brewer continues to be an embarrassment to her small audience. My favorite "Brewerism" was a few months back when an interviewee challenged a statement she had made........she burst inro tears. The left has put Simpson up there with Cronkite and other phoneys. This "Folksy" crap is getting a little long in the tooth. I understand when he was in the senate he wanted a mileage credit on his income tax for the number of times he crossed the aisle. Another one who just won't go away!
I thought libs were into being pro choice

Being gay is not a sin any more than being strait. It's the self serving indulgence of lustful pleasures that are problematic whether gay or strait; putting the desires of man before those of the creator. Failure to embrace one's chosen carnal practices is not phobic or hate, just a choice and I thought we're celebrating being pro choice.
