The Associated Press took to the streets of Washington, D.C. and Chicago this morning for reaction from everyday citizens about President Obama's Nobel Prize win. All but one of the featured interviewees expressed at least some skepticism about the president's worthiness to receive the award. And no, it seems none of these men (and woman) on the street are rabid right-wingers.

October 9, 2009 - 15:54 ET by UpNorthwe had the same thing happen in the northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan, a couple of Rep. county commissioners had a get together, for shooting guns. Unfortunately, a couple of .50 rounds got away, and one hit a van about 2 miles away, and the ground. After the local sheriff's dept had inspected the range and pronounced it fit for what was planned.
The money quote was from a guy driving down the highway, who claimed that he heard 3 rounds go past his vehicle as he was driving. He even qualified it that it was the .50 he heard. That guy should immediately enlist and go to A-stan or Iraq, he could be invaluable in pinpointing enemy positions with his acute hearing.

He got it because he fits the EUROPEAN model
October 9, 2009 - 11:52 ET by richb313He got it because he fits the European model of what an American President should be. It should disqualify any sitting President if he wins such a prize and then accepts it. He is the President of the United States of America. His first, last and only priority should be what is good for America and Americans. This is not as isolationist as it sounds, it just means that all actions and policies should always pass through that filter and that is not what the Nobel Committee wants. So I say yes he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize but the winning of that particular honor does not bode well for us in this country.

October 9, 2009 - 13:10 ET by ForeverOnTheRightSven and Oly got a pilot to fly them to Canada to hunt moose. They bagged six. As they started loading the plane for the return trip, the pilot said the plane could take only four moose. The Sven and Oly objected strongly. "Last year we shot six and the pilot let us put them all on board; he had the same plane as yours." Reluctantly, the pilot gave in and all six were loaded. However, even on full power, the little plane couldn't handle the load and went down a few moments after take-off. Climbing out of the wreck one Sven asked Oly, "Any idea where we are?" "Yaaah I tink we's pretty close to where we crashed last year. Do ya tink we will git a Nobel for this one?"
