No bias here, just some fun at White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs's expense.
"White House Press Secretary began his daily briefing, even though Pres. Obama was speaking at the U.Conn event. Considered a no-no," CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller noted via his Twitter account just shortly after 2:30 p.m. EDT.
Education journalist Dakarai I. Aarons asked Knoller:
@markknoller any precedent for holding a briefing while the president is speaking elsewhere?
To which the veteran journalist answered:
@d_aarons In 30 years of covering the White House - it's just not done. the press secretary waits till the Pres is done, before starting...

How About This . . .
April 27, 2009 - 15:02 ET by Gat New YorkGibbs was asked about the uannounced, very low altitude flyover of a jumbo jet that looked like Air Force One above Ground Zero and forcing the evacuation of buildings in Manhattan. Mayor Bloomberg was not warned.
Gibbs had no idea what the reporters were talking about and the Obamination was at some speaking engagement.
It is days like this that I realize how much danger we are now in.

We have questions...
April 27, 2009 - 15:31 ET by mcherrWho really does write the drivel that comes out of the teleprompter?
Further, who feeds the dreck to the writer of the drivel?
Further, what committee is in charge of the feeder of the writer?
Etc, etc, and so forth.

April 27, 2009 - 21:04 ET by RR GOPThis branch of the administration is so disorganized that I can only conclude that Emanuel, Axelrod and The One couldn't care less about what the White Press Corps nor millions of Americans think about this...it's as if they're focusing on something else (more important to them) in the background.
I don't blame Gibbs. It seems as if they're not giving him the information he needs to do his job and I don't envy him...though, being the point guy for Dear Leader far from enamors himself to me, either.
If it were simply Gibbs' ineptitude then they're stuck with him for a while because getting rid of him now would look bad. However, anyone else working under the same conditions would be in the same boat.
One of the 34% who thinks George W. Bush was a great President. One of the 61% who wants to bring back the stock and pillory (yep...approval for Congress now at 39%...do you believe that!?).
Fools...
April 28, 2009 - 06:00 ET by adamsmithI see what this administration is attempting to do as far as turning America into a socialist state. I often think the general public is too stupid to do anything about it, and fear the country will forever be changed. With stories like this and the plane over New York, as well as painting themselves into a corner over "torture" investigations, I realize the American people voted in the Keystone Kops to the positions of the highest power. The left is so concerned Bush ruined America's reputation abroad. At least the world knew we were serious about defending ourselves. The Russians and Chinese have to take sedatives at this point to prevent death from laughing too hard at the idiots this country elected...We need grownups back in the White House.....
