What about a media that regularly criticizes and intentionally misrepresents Catholic teaching with the purpose of spreading their anti-religious ideology?

The pope DOES undermine faith in the church. But not in the way any stupid libtard would understand. The pope undermines faith in CHrist by lying about who he is. The Pope mistakenly believes himself to be the MEDIATOR between man and God. In doing so he takes glory to himself that belongs to another. Gee, I wonder who that "other" might be?

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

 So by undermining the glory of JESUS CHRIST, by lying to his congregants and claiming some type of "infallibility" the pope does indeed "undermine" faith. Because in order to be "infallible" you must be free from sin, right? I mean, no matter how you look at it, SIN is a "failing", right? 

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

The Apostle Paul who raised people from the DEAD admits to FALLIBILITY, but not the "pope" who is a LIAR. Before some well meaning soul,  with the biblical knowledge of a peanut, pipes up about me saying something bad about the pope, I didn't say it. JESUS SAID IT. JESUS told HIS disciples to tell you this...but the pope doesn't think it applies to him.

1 John 1:8

If the truth is not "in" you then you are a LIAR, and the pope is a LIAR by claiming "infallibility", because ALL have sinned. 

The pope further undermines faith in CHrist by calling himself "Holy Father". There is nothing Holy about a LIAR who doesn't even HAVE the "Holy Spirit" as evidenced by speaking in tongues, which by the way, is the ONLY WAY IT COMES! What would you make of the alleged Christian who steals Christ's glory for himself? Isn't that what satan did with the famous five "I WiLL's" ?

 The first way you can recognize a minister of satan is that they will steal GLORY from Christ, that is what the devils ORIGINAL SIN was and his minions do the same thing! The pope calls himself "Holy Father" and he presides over a church which calls it's priests, "Father".  Both of these "appellations" are in DIRECT DEFIANCE OF THE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST, concerning what the leaders in the church should be CALLED!!!!! There is a reason that Christ didn't want you lording your station in the church over someone by claiming to be some "holy father" when nothing could be further from the truth! IT'S BECAUSE YOU STEAL HIS GLORY AND THE LORD WILL NOT SHARE HIS GLORY WITH ANOTHER!

MATT 23:8-10

 8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

 9And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

 10Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Now if you read the entire 23 chptr of Matt you'll discover that the context of the forbidden titles was in the religious sense. The Lord himself told you to honor your Father and mother so he isn't talking about that father, because all of the other titles that are FORBIDDEN are in a religious sense. Like Father, the word each apostate priest takes upon himself in direct defiance of an express COMMAND of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

The list of ways in which the pope undermines Christianity is so LOONG that I'd need to write a BOOK to chronicle them all and that book would end up being the size of the entire encyclopedia! The pope undermines faith in Christ by designating special individuals as "saints" when the bible declares any run of the mill follower of Christ, a "saint". Paul specifically wrote to the "Saints" who were in Rome and that was in a general epistle to the church. The N.T. is replete with instances of Christ's followers being called saints and they were all LIVING PEOPLE, in fact the only reference to dead saints is a prophecy about Christ's return! 

The pope undermines faith in Christ by PRAYING TO MARY and any other TOM, DICK AND HARRY he can think of. This is IDOLATRY, this is the express violation of the third commandment....

Exodus 20:5 

5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Praying to Mary is a SIN and so is praying to a statue or even MAKING a statue that is supposed to be of Jesus! This would violate the SECOND commandment which goes a lil' somethin' like this....

Ex 20:4

 4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

But perhaps the most heinous way in which the pope undermines the church is in NOT TEACHING THE ONLY METHOD OF SALVATION that is given to men. There is NOBODY baptized IN THE ENTIRE BIBLE in the manner of baptism that the Catholic Church employs. There is nobody in the ENTIRE bible baptized in the EMPTY TITLES "Father, Son and Holy Ghost". The Apostles upon hearing this command in Matt 28:19, IMMEDIATELY understood this to be the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST because they were the ones, unlike the false church who taught this.....

Colossians 1:12-19

12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

 14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

 15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

 16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

 18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

 19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Since the bible declares that there is in fact ONLY ONE BAPTISM (Ephesians 4:5), and it is NOT the baptism employed by the Catholics, this would place the pope in a grave situation. No pun intended.  See, the apostles understood that ALL THE FULNESS OF THE GODHEAD DWELT IN THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST, They understood that the NAME ( singular),  of the "Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost", is JESUS CHRIST. They understood that Jesus is the WORD and that the WORD created the WORLD ( john 1:1-14). They understood that JESUS IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD! Something that no one who prays to Mary could possibly understand. 

Not only did the Apostles understand that the fulness of the Godhead, that the sum total of the "Father, Son and Holy Ghost" resided in the body of Jesus Christ but they told you not to be DECEIVED by those who were already at that time, trying to teach something DIFFERENT! The false origins of the catholic church go all the way back to the beginning! There were deceitful men who had crept in amongst the apostles who went out teaching perverse things. Paul had to remind the Thessalonians that the day of the Lord had not come yet, even though there were some, pretending to be apostles, that said it had! He also had to remind the colossians that anyone who believed in some TRINITY was a liar and not sent from GOD. 

Colossians 2:8,9

8. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

 9. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

See the apostles understood who Christ is. The pope doesn't. The pope thinks he's the third string, when He is the WHOLE TEAM! 

I have to go take care of some business or I could really go on all day. So massive are the deceptions of Satan's church that it would take all day to chronicle them but I'll leave you with these two. First, the reason we know that the Catholic Church is the FALSE church is because it was prophesied to BE the false church . Paul in his first missive to Timothy gave the young Bishop the signs by which you would know the false church remember Paul had been prophesying for a while that his "departure was at hand" and that after he was gone some would pervert the gospel through a FALSE CHURCH that would rise up! Paul's vehemence on this subject begins in the 20th chapter of Acts and is consistent through ALL of his epistles...

ACTS 20:28-31

 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

 29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

 31Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Unfortunately those who follow the pope have followed the "perverse men" that did indeed arise. How we know this? Because Paul gave us the signs by which you might know them! There is not a single BISHOP in the catholic church which meets the biblical standard for even BEING a Bishop! 

1 Timothy 3

 1This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

Which BISHOP in the Catholic Church is the "HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE"? Since NONE of them are and since the bible is the "drivers manual" for Christianity every single "bishop" in the Catholic Church is "DRIVING WITHOUT A LISCENSE"! When Paul gave Timothy the Prophecy, he included the TWO signs by which you may know the false church. Curiously, BOTH of these signs have been adopted by the Catholic church which had to do so in order to fulfill prophecy and so that the false church might be known. Think of it. The bible tells you that if you do THESE TWO THINGS, it will mark you as the false church and the Catholics go and do BOTH of them. THAT is the power of true prophecy, they have no choice.

 1 Timothy 4: 1-4

 1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

 4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

The Catholic Church is the only so called "christian" church, to do BOTH of these things. They prevent priests and nuns from marrying AND they command the abstention of meat on Friday.  

While as I stated earlier I could go on all day on their "falseness",I will close with this... The principle way in which the pope UNDERMINES faith in Christ is by LYING ABOUT CHRIST'S MISSION... As recently as Feb 3 2009, the pope has been preaching that unity in Christ will bring "peace to all nations". Through the false church we have hallmark greeting cards and Christmas garbage about Christ bringing "peace". If you know ANYTHING about the bible you know that only the DEVIL adopts the opposite stance of God's WORD. In the Garden, he asked Eve, "Did God say that if you eat of the tree you will die?" Eve says "YES", the devil says, "You shall not die". Only the devil twists God's message EXACTLY 180 degrees. Many false prophets get off on a "slant" and are in error. But only SATAN tells you that the EXACT OPPOSITE of what GOD said, is true! Look at the video! While the Catholic church has been preaching the "peace on earth" crap for a long time, I just did a google search and up it pops. When the pope or anyone talks about Christ bringing PEACE ON EARTH, you are not hearing the voice of God's representative, you are hearing the voice of SATAN, whose goal is to confuse the MISSION of Christ!

Matthew 10:34-39

34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

 35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

 36And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

 37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Only SATAN would tell you that Christ came to bring "peace on earth" when Jesus SPECIFICALLY told you NOT TO THINK THAT. In these and in hundreds of other ways the false church and it's false pope UNDERMINE TRUE FAITH IN CHRIST.
