Shortly before 1 p.m. as former President George W. Bush left from the Capitol grounds via a U.S. Marine helicopter to head to Andrews Air Force Base for a flight to Midland, Texas.
MSNBC covered the send-off and viewers at home could hear inaugural attendees near the MSNBC location chanting "Hey, Hey, Hey, Good Bye" as they watched Executive One fly over the Mall.

It was probably Matthews
January 20, 2009 - 14:51 ET by motherbeltIt was probably Matthews and Olbermann leading the chant.
For those with BDS, right up to the last minute: No class, all a$$
Beat me to it
January 20, 2009 - 14:55 ET by UpNorthMB, just what I was going to say. No class, all a$$. It's indeed, going to be a long 4 years.
Libs, sheesh...
January 20, 2009 - 14:54 ET by BKeyserI'm always confused when people use the phrase "liberal elites." Seems like an oxymoron to me. I've always found liberals to be much less refined then, say, well... almost anyone else! Completely devoid of class.
They're elites only in
January 20, 2009 - 15:07 ET by SmartypantsThey're elites only in their minds. They think they're smarter than everyone else; more interesting than anyone else; more poignant than anyone else and entitled to violate the very rules of conduct that they feel are appropriate--for everyone else.
And we should be suprised at the lack of class
January 20, 2009 - 14:54 ET by katiejanefrom the Left? Supposedly they mocked Pres Bush when he entered the dais before the swearing in so of course they would send him off the same way.
This is the behavior that makes me not especially inclined to join the campfire sing-in.
Classless
January 20, 2009 - 14:55 ET by thebutlerdiditHe was booed and snubbed during the event, then they did this?? I am so sick of this stuff. I am thrilled the President is now going home, where he doesn't have to be excoriated by a bunch of trashy, classless people , who have no idea what he has done for them. I guess all the unity that Obama was espousing in his speech was for naught? Still just BDS. And, of course, Olbermann had to make sure it was heard and it sounded as if they amplified it. I also think he made a little small chuckle there. Disgusting.
Bringing the government in to run Wall Street is like saying, "Dad burned the dinner, let's get the dog to cook." PJ O'Rourke
I agree
January 20, 2009 - 15:07 ET by MPayneI am pleased that Mr. Bush will be able to get some rest; to not have to turn on the TV or pick up the paper (do people still do that?) and see non stop attacks from worthless shallow thinkers. I wish him the best, he was always a class act swimming in a toilet of complete dumba$$e$, named Washington.
" Courage - a perfect sensibility of the measure of danger, and a mental willingness to endure it. " - William T. Sherman
I Agree
January 20, 2009 - 15:55 ET by GeneralAlI don't think President Bush will get any break from the Communist Press. Every mistake made by the Obamassiah will somehow be linked to Bush. I actually hope they try to try him and his staff for war crimes as it will show us the true colors or the Communist Democrat Party of America. That is the real US of KKKA of Commie Wright!
Class
January 20, 2009 - 14:57 ET by cvgbuckeyeDemocrats, Liberals and the media have such class. And we can ALWAYS count on them giving a good demonstration of it.
We Conservatives are way to nice to these (people?) and we need to treat them in a way that they deserve. We need to start today.
Liberals!!!
January 20, 2009 - 14:58 ET by BourbeauThe new President aside, and I wish him well in the next four years, his liberal admirers portray themselves, as they are, no class leftists to the end. Unlike the Clintons, the President and his wife departed with their heads high, their morals in tact, and no White House furniture on the plane.
8 long years
January 20, 2009 - 15:14 ET by candanceLibs who keep whining about why conservies aren't accepting Obama, they need to stop and think about this.
After eight years of full-blown hate toward the president, saying he killed black people in New Orleans, accusing Republicans of stealing an election, accusing our military of genocide, making movies that fantacize the president being killed, wishing Dick Cheney had died in Iraq, showing up in Denver screaming "kill Michelle Malkin," hanging Sarah Palin in effigy, throwing projectiles at Ann Coulter, banning the military from public soil, and invading the House to approach Condi Rice with blood on your hands....
All the sudden that's all in the past and we're supposed to be friends.
Excuse us for being a bit skittish, but we have reason to fear the left and have no desire to lump ourselves together.
I'm a typical white person.
Bush did a good job during
January 20, 2009 - 15:17 ET by SmartypantsBush did a good job during his term in office. He was reelected in 2004 and his party picked up seats in Congress in both 2002 and 2004. The endless carping by the Democrats and the media finally took its toll. They droned on and on about the war in Iraq and drained the American support in the process; they blamed Katrina and its aftermath solely on Bush; they chided him for taking measures to stop terrorists in their tracks, measures which have been enormously successful by the way. If we had a more fair media, Bush's approval ratings would be much higher; there is no doubt about this.
With that said, liberals are classless as a general rule. They adhere to no principles (even the principle of decency). In their arrogance, they believe that merely disagreeing with them is tantamount to a punishable crime. They do not recognize true evil so they substitute their own versions. Bush is, therefore, deemed more evil than Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Ladin; corporations are more evil than government bureaucrats, etc. You will never see a group of conservatives singing "Hey, Hey Goodbye" to an outgoing president of any party. Just as you will never see conservatives removing keys from government computers just to make a statement. And you will never see conservatives confusing our country's actual enemies and an opposition party president.
Well Said.

Classless
January 20, 2009 - 15:48 ET by GeneralAlThese people are the ones who refused to acknowledge President Bush for eight years and constantly reminded all of us that we were divided. Now we hear about how we're SO united! The difference is We conservatives listen to the voice of the people and say, OK, they won and we'll give them a chance. We are the uniters! Its NOT Obama! When we win, the liberals say "We didn't get our message out so we'll keep up the rhetoric until we do!" They are the dividers! I didn't agree with everything President Bush did but if the truth is ever printed, he'll go down in history as our most principled and dedicated president ever!

January 20, 2009 - 16:15 ET by Radar_OneWHATEVER HAPPENED TO RESPECTING THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT?? THAT MADE ME SICK, I didn't sing and do a jig when Pres. Clinton left office, I won't be "celebrating" when Obama leaves office. The job of POTUS is the HARDEST job in the world, and the left wing a$$hats just don't seem to have any respect or manners....how "Politically Correct"
Barack Obama= Half Honkey...ALL Donkey

January 20, 2009 - 16:35 ET by SeashellAs I have many times before, the left just doesn't have any respect for the Office. Like you Radar, I wasn't crazy about Clinton, but I didn't disrespect him for he was our President. The left only has "respect" if their guy is in charge.
It made me sick too.
BSNBC
January 20, 2009 - 16:53 ET by racer148I posted this in a couple of places right after I heard it. Was switching back and forth between BSNBC & FOX. I'm wondering if they paid people just to sing so they can "fake" another story.
Classless and just plain rude !!!!!
January 20, 2009 - 22:59 ET by sccYou can disagree with someone without being rude. Did not their parents teach them that????? I forgot that is where they get it from.

January 21, 2009 - 09:55 ET by BlondeThe arrogance of this new President is simply staggering. From the link you provided (and these were just two of the additional issues...I couldn't bring myself to read the rest of the site):

Hypocrisy at its finest.
Class at its lowest.
Thank goodness some of us had parents who instilled us with morals and manners. I pray God never permits me to extend Obama the same courtesy that the "other sides" has extended to "W."
God have mercy on us all....
