Convention Acknowledgments From NB's Managing Editor

ATLANTA, Georgia-- As I wait for my plane back to Washington, D.C., I thought I'd take the time to thank those who made our NewsBusters trip to cover the Republican National Convention successful.

First off to you, the readers of NewsBusters, for loyally coming back day after day, and many of you hour after hour, to catch our in-depth coverage of the media's liberal bias, thank you. It was an honor to report live from the field for you.

We did suffer a few disappointments due to technical difficulties -- the audio for our interview with Tony Blankley didn't turn out and hence we had to scrap posting it to NewsBusters -- but overall we're pleased with the wide array of journalists, politicians and pundits we were able to query on camera and post online.

Secondly I'd like to thank my NewsBusters colleagues Noel Sheppard, Matthew Sheffield, and Jacob Lybbert, as well as EyeBlast.tv's Danny Glover and Business & Media Institute's Jeff Poor and Whitney Stewart. You guys made for a great team out in the field.

I also tip my hat to the fine work of the NewsBusters bloggers in the MRC News Analysis Division who held the fort down at headquarters at Alexandria, Virginia.

A huge round of applause is due the various police officers, Secret Service, and Minnesota National Guardsmen for their polite, efficient, and courteous work at the convention.

Thanks to all the folks on the Republican Convention staff, but especially to Hayden Pruett and David Hauptmann for their help with credentials and access to interviewees. Thanks to Scott Hogenson for helping Jacob Lybbert and me get the John Bolton interview.

Thanks to all of the donors to the Media Research Center, the parent organization of NewsBusters, who through their financial support made our trip possible.

And last but certainly not least, with all the love in my heart, thanks to my beautiful fiancee Laura for all her love, prayers, and understanding. I love you and I can't wait to see you again.

Fantastic job to all

Fantastic job to all involved - I was glued to my monitor. How about some commemorative Newsbusters t-shirts featuring some of the greatest hits of RNC 08?

Ken

Thanks to you and the rest of the NB staff...it was really exciting to get a first hand view of the convention.

I love the site, just as it is, but I also like it when you guys branch out....some of Matt's interviews, Matt & Noel's article the other day, and the live blogging from the White House press conferences are just a few of the things that make this site even better.

Keep up the great work!

Ken, You and the rest of the staff did a great job!

Bringing out the plethora of biased and misleading commentary especially regarding Governor Palin was invaluable to those of us who don't have the time or ability to do this research.

One thing though regarding Governor Palins being "a heartbeat away" and her inexperience. The first thing after the election John McCain will convene his transition team and the next item is to select his advisors and his cabinet. It seems obvious to me that if something happened to McCain that the entire support staff would be available to her. For most executive decisions all it takes besides competent counsel is intelligence and common sense, both qualities Sarah Palin has in abundance.

Ken and all... I thank

Ken and all...

I thank YOU!

I have had such a great time too....what enjoyment you have given a gal in the mountains of Montana...feeling like I could be there such as it was...still have a couple of place to get to that I have missed when I can.

Excellent job all...I cannot get over how far NBs has come since I have joined...and that has been a long while now for which I'm so thankful for.

You guys are wonderful!

You guys are wonderful! Thank you so much for this site. It's one of the few places I can go to and find other sane people who are seeing things the way I'm seeing them. I'm not paranoid after all, lol.
