ST. PAUL, Minn.-- Former presidential contender and senator Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) told bloggers today that the bias against Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) was "abysmal."
At the RedState.com-organized and Google-sponsored breakfast, Thompson demurred when asked if he'd accept a Cabinet slot in a future McCain administration, joking that he's ready for more work in Hollywood, which would be a welcome break from the duplicity and insincerity of the media on the campaign trail.

September 2, 2008 - 15:20 ET by Daniel BakerI see alot of people in GOP blogs dismissing teenage sex as normal all of the sudden. Well Fred Thompson is their man maybe this is why he was their man in the race.

Daniel, it appears you believe this is a new phenomenon.
September 2, 2008 - 16:04 ET by R D HelmAs recently as the 1800s, girls as young as 14 were routinely having babies.
If they waited too long to have them, given the mean life-expectancy of the times they lived in, they weren't going to live long enough to see their kids grow up.
As for a society destroying action, I'd start worrying more about the republicrats screwing this country into the ground financially, as this nation is quite literally teetering on the brink of financial ruin.
Your precious republicans helped every bit as much as the dems in bringing us to this point.

Daniel...who cares? Are you
September 2, 2008 - 16:13 ET by bassndudeDaniel...who cares? Are you saying people dont get wiser as they get older? Are you saying people dont learn from their mistakes? If so, then are you speaking from experience? Are you as stupid today as you were when you were 15?

Ha. These vids are great. Thanks for posting and please keep them coming.
Although I am having a hard time adjusting to this new media format of a politician speaking without a demedia talking head interrupting every 5 minutes to tell me how I should interpret the politician's words. Focus, focus...

September 2, 2008 - 15:37 ET by owlpelletsI would put Sara's kids up against any of the Kennedy kids any day of the week. Go ahead Kennedys...have them look into a 20 year old DUI conviction.
It could be worse. Sara could have hair plugs........
I always wanted to get into politics, but I was never light enough to make the team.
Next Scandal
September 2, 2008 - 16:51 ET by JoelCTSarah Palin's next scandal will be when the MSM find out that Sarah plagiarized Larry Byrd's basketball moves to win a sports scholarship...

September 2, 2008 - 16:27 ET by bigtimerFred told it like it is!
Period...
I love the guy...still wished he would of made it..nevertheless I sure agree with this answer to the questions about repercussions to the msm for their behaviour/blatant bias...there will be a backlash...
Of course the last part was the best...the transition to the real world and then some...
I love these interviews...thanks to all.

McCain's Bad Decision...Again!
September 3, 2008 - 06:43 ET by RedphillyThe Repubs are saying that people have to wait to hear Palin's speech tonight and she will prove that she is vice-presidency worthy. It has also been said that she not only got one person fired but at least least one other! This proves she has a criminal mind and doesn't have a problem resorting to unsavory practices. Even if she gives a great speech does that mean we have to wait until she gets into office and all hell breaks loose because of the actions she has taken to solve problems in the past? John McCain has proven over and over again (Iraq) that his judgement is poor. This pick is no exception.
RedPhilly - Who Fired YOU???
September 3, 2008 - 12:43 ET by Secret ConservativeWow! Sarah Palin, as a Chief Executive FIRED someone and may have FIRED two people!!! How Shocking!!! Clearly she is not qualified to serve in public office! I would think by the time you've been a mayor and a governor you would have fired at least a DOZEN people. I am a lowly corporate VP and I have certainly fired more than my share of incompetent people. Fortunately I do not plan to run for public office, or RedPhilly would probably have me flogged.
Since when is firing incompetent or irresponsible people a CRIMINAL (or "unsavory") offense? RedPhilly, whoever fired you must have really had her hands full...
Fred's right.
September 3, 2008 - 08:20 ET by c5thenIt's easy to judge just how good a choice Sarah Palin is...just listen to the liberals and the media (is that redundant?) try and find something, anything, to criticise her on. The louder and more self-righteous and more personally venomous they are, the better the choice is.
The day that "politician" became a career choice is the day we started losing the Republic. Let's get it back! Alan Keyes '08.
