More Obamessiah Worship Overlooked by MSM: Victory Worthy of Another Chapter in Bible

Photo of Ken Shepherd.

Imagine, if you will, that former Arkansas Gov. Mike "majored in miracles" Huckabee had won the Republican nominating contest and in the rapture of exhuberance at the historic moment, a Republican congressman who is also the son of a famous religious right clergyman exulted that "the event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance."

That would certainly get widespread attention in the MSM, being so over-the-top and messianic pronouncement about a Republican presidential figure. Not so much when the hallelujah chorus is coming from the son of famous left-wing preacher Jesse Jackson. (h/t Michele at Reformed Chicks Blabbing)

Aside from some blogs picking up on the item as originally reported by Politico's Josephine Hearn on June 5, I'm aware of no media scrutiny about Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s hosannas song of praise over fellow Illinois Democrat Sen. Barack Obama (emphasis mine):

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

On Capitol Hill, as across the country Wednesday, African-Americans reflected on Illinois Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's historic rise as the first black presidential nominee to lead a major political party. They noted that only a few decades ago, African-Americans were fighting across large swaths of the South for basic human rights, hardly pondering the possibility that one of them might soon lead the country.

Many black lawmakers said they were elated at Obama's victory.

Many said they never thought such a day would come.

[...]

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), son of the one-time presidential contender, said Obama's victory overwhelmed him.

"I cried all night. I'm going to be crying for the next four years," he said. "What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation's political history. ... The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance."

This is

a joke, right Ken...right? Well, after the halo shot of him I guess everything is fair game with the dims. Honestly, do they not see their hypocritical writings?

Halo shot? how about halo

Halo shot? how about halo shotS? That appears to be their favorite theme for him!!

True

I should have made it plural. LOL, I just keep picturing the one NBers has run most frequently.

Yep, it's a joke

Because I have yet to find a Bible with U.S. History within, not to mention the fact that the Emancipation of the slaves and the C.R.A of 1964 seem to be a tad more important.

"I cried all night. I'm

"I cried all night. I'm going to be crying for the next four years," he said.

   So am I.

The idolotry of Obama is a

The idolotry of Obama is a paganistic cult.

The more they deify Obama the worse their fall if Obama loses.  It would eclipse their frustration and rancor when/since Gore lost in 2000.

RRAM Tough!

I thought we had heard it

I thought we had heard it all, but apparently not.

I'm verklempt.

Jesse must have forgot to read the very last part of the bible.

Revelation 22:18-19:

“For I testify unto every man that hears the words of
the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add
unto him the plagues that are written in this book. If any man shall take away
from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from
the tree of life and out of the holy city and from the things written in this
book.”

So unless he wants locusts, gnats, and his first born son taken away I suggest he shuudddd up.

You beat me to it. If

You beat me to it.

If Jesse were a real reverend, he'd have known better....

beat me to it, too!

I'm a little slow today....plus, Obama has not accomplished anything...the media and the the rest of the dumbocraps have handed him this on a dirty silver-plate platter.

Evidently there is no fear of the Lord Almighty on the lib side.

Jesse Jr....Obama the

Jesse Jr....Obama the empty-suited sock-puppet accomplished zilch with his sweet nothings...the leftist msm did, along with the backing of Soros and his connections...24/7...and do not forget it.

Good ol' Black Liberation Theology...something to behold...talk about radical racism...along with his marxist buddies...yeah we have a real winner here...we have the majority of the GOP party afraid to criticize any of this, plus McCain has ordered his people not to.

Well atleast that Jr. here knows too that after 4 years of Obama, the people of this country would never vote him in for another four years.

....and that there will be

....and that there will be 4 years of crying if this guy is elected.

Sounds familiar

This outlandish claim: "The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance" is absurd. Of course, what else would one expect from the son of a phony Christian Rev.?

However, it's this little gem: "What Barack Obama has accomplished is the single most extraordinary event that has occurred in the 232 years of the nation's political history" that really makes me sick.

It looks as if Jr. gets his talking points from Mrs. Obama. This is probably the first time he has ever been proud of his country as well. 232 years of American history, and Obama's nomination is the best thing, the most "extraordinary event" in America's political history? Call me crazy, but the peaceful transfer of power from one president to another for over two centuries is quite unique and extraordinary. I guess Washington's voluntary relinquishing of power after two terms, setting a nearly unbroken precedent, Lincoln's election, his Emancipation Proclamation (a political event) and the countless men and women who have risen to political prominence over the years, without inherited money or affirmative action, don't amount to anything?

Why don't they get it over with and set up an altar on the White House lawn and a golden image of Obama in front the Capital building so we can all offer sacrifices and bow down the image?

Dear Jerusalemite,

Best comment all day!

Sean

Well actually being a President doesn't have the qualities or necessary dignity that an exalted ruler should have.  Pharoh is much closer to what is needed here, a God/King.  Or.... since there is so much pagan worship going on perhaps we should dispense with having an actual person and just put up a Golden Calf to worship and rally around.  The White House can be converted into the Temple of the Liberal Word and on special  Holy Days a Kennedy (and only a Kennedy) can enter the inner sanctum to appear before the Holy Calf and return with word of blessings and sacrifices demanded by the Holy Calf.  The Blessed Words will be read aloud from the Temple steps by the country's high priests who are chosen from the most learned of the ACLU.

I'll personally supply 4 yrs worth of Kleenex

“I cried all night. I’m going to be crying for the next four years.”

We can only pray that he'll be crying the next four years for the right reason - Obama returns to his part time senator job.

I'm still waiting for AU to sue Obama

The Americans United for the Separation of Church and State (AU) has sued conservative churches for campaigning and even sent letters to churches warning them that they would lose their tax exemptions if they campaign from the pulpit. I posted a question on their website asking when they were going to sue Obama for his campaigning from the pulpit and for his "messianic" campaign poster showing a halo around his head. Still waiting for an answer.

SG... ...not holding your

SG...

...not holding your breath waiting for one either are ya'?

Not gonna' happen.

Hypocrites all....

Good job by the way....just seems useless anymore at times to get any results with the law/IRS when it comes to the leftists and their churches regarding politics and their associated groups, they've being getting away with this for years.

Sigh

Hmm.  I wonder if Jackson has any idea of how the books of the Bible were canonized.  The gospel of Jackson would have got less attention than the gospel of Thomas.

revrun extortion

Of course this worthless bum is weeping all night. The ascension of Obama means that the cash cow of black victimology that the revrun has been milking for all these years to line his, and his friends (and sons) pockets, is coming to an end. He may have to get a real job. Can't wait til this grifter tries his guilt trip extortion on a CEO, who tells him to take a walk. There are many worthwhile, pressing charitable causes for all races out there and lining this deadbeats pockets ain't one of 'em.

Difference of Opinion is what makes a Horse Race

Well, Obama did say...

that he was going to heal the sick.  It will be interesting to see how he will do that with socialized medicine.

Let's face it, most Americans are not that bright and vote on emotion.  These are the same tools who voted for Carter because he had a nice smile.  They'll vote for Balack Osama because he is going to "change" the world.  I'm sure that he will change the world but it will be for the worse.

Over the top & messianic

Also describes the description of McCain as "kind of like Jesus Christ on the cross" by the head of the Georgia GOP. McCain's like a lot of politicians IMO, but he's not like Jesus Christ no matter how much state GOP chairs want it to be so. No politician is.
