Tapper to Clinton Camp: Stop Pretending You're Not Pushing Wright Story

Seriously, how can the Clinton campaign with a straight face claim it in no way is pushing the Rev. Wright story?

(Answer: practice.)

Former Ambassador Joe Wilson, who appeared with Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, Tuesday in Philly writes in the Huffington Post of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, that "Claims of superior intuitive judgment by his campaign and by him are self-evidently disingenuous, especially in light of disclosures about his long associations with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Tony Rezko."

Why should the Clintons stop taking advantage of a troublesome issue? They don't have the right to speak the truth about someone?

Sounds like Obama's such a baby he needs his friends to protect him.

If this is how it is now, can you imagine the propaganda if he ends up in the White House?

Who put the photo out of Wright with Bubba?  Did Obama's camp think that Wright being photographed with Bubba rose to the same level as his 20 year history with the man and his church?  It was the same thing with the Rezko picture!

Welcome to politics Obama.  No one gets to hide behind their sex or skin color.  It is a bloodsport!

Bloodsport indeed...and to think the long knives aren't even out yet...lol!

Obama is not going to get the luxury of being protected forever by the msm, especially with the Clinton machine, he has no worries with McCain...he is going to have to face the fire, as he should...whether he likes it or not.

These debates we were subjected to were a joke.  I gave credit to Russert for pressing Obama, but let's face it, it was at the end of the debate cycle, not the beginning.  How many debates did Obama skate through?  I was insulted the night that Williams "clarified" the rumors about Obama, and I swear, that is what SNL was spoofing on when they had the question answer session with Hill and O..Could he have been any more sneering towards those who dared question his messiah?

Doesn't matter if it's true....it's "mean."  The Obama has made "The Speech."  All references to Pastor Wright are henceforth forbidden.

They should "take responsibility" for it, apologize profusely, and throw one of their staffers over the side, in atonement.

Who cares what Joe Wilson says??? But it is true that the clintons are pushing the Wright story and I see H. Ickes all over this story -especially because of the edit. Lets get the sermon out there it was a quote!!!!! Note the quote from Edward Peck...This was taken out of context...of the Rev Wright... I'm no "spring chicken" and I've never before in my life heard the expressing "ridin' dirty"...

I'm still stunned that the first time I do hear it, it's coming out of the mouth of a pastor, as part of a sermon in church, complete with hip action.

Is that more of what Donna Brazile called being "lifted up"? I don't get it.  

I would not continue to attend a church where the pastor acted like this during services. If this is acceptable "black culture" in church, then they can keep it.

So I guess I must be a racist?

Well, He was literally asking God to consign America to Hell, so I guess that's not really a "taking in vain."

But with "preaching" about Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama; he has clearing stepped over the line into campaigning from the pulpit.

I honestly don't know why black churches continue to get away with this blatant politicking from the pulpit. No, wait, yes I do: because Democrats need the black vote. Republicans don't do the same with evangelicals or Catholics, simply because they choose not to brazenly disobey the laws. This is what frosts me...and the Democrats say they need to learn to be ruthless, and fight dirty, like the Republicans do.

I've always just assumed it was someone in the Clinton camp that brought the Wright comments to the media in the first place. Who else would have benefited from this exposure at this time? It's too early to have been a McCain supporter, they would have waited until later in the campaign. I can't imagine an MSM that's so in the tank for Obama would have brought them out on their own. So who else but Clinton's minions?

I don't think it is important WHO brought the Wright issue into the light.  It is a relevant issue.  I particularly don't want some candidate that subscribes to anti-white, anti-Jew, and anti-American beliefs to be our President.

I am sick and tired of these hack "reporter-type" telling candidates what is ON or OFF LIMITS for discussion.  This is a Presidential election; it is important that all relevant facts concerning ALL candidates be discussed in the media.  Obama has had more than 20 years to resolve this issue.  He didn't.  THAT is worth discussing.
