Newsweek Notes Frost in the Air on McCain's Campaign Plane

You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around, and say...

It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late

I don't know about you, but the lyrics for "Apologize" by OneRepublic came to mind as I read this item from Newsweek.com about a new chill in the air separating the generally press-friendly Arizona senator and the Third Estate:

John McCain’s campaign plane is usually a pretty jovial place to be. The senator, his family and aides sit in the first few rows, while the press is stationed in the back of the plane. On most days, the two sides openly mingle, with reporters sometimes able to sit close so close to the front that they can hear McCain and his aides talking strategy.

But in the aftermath of today’s New York Times story looking at McCain’s dealings with a Washington lobbyist, the mood is decidedly different. Before McCain boarded his plane, reporters were asked to sit farther back than usual on the plane. And when McCain finally boarded the plane, he failed to offer his usual wave at reporters and opted to quickly take his seat. During the flight, the cabin was unusually quiet, save a few quick discussions McCain had with top aides Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter.

Don’t despair John, as

Don’t despair John, as soon as you lose the election and your back to jamming you fingers in our eyes (as a Senator) they will be your friend again.

I have that feeling they will like you again some time in late November.

I'm really trying here John!

Trying hard to work up a tear for you and your lost love affair with the media. They bought your bogus story of being smeared in SC by George Bush in 2000 -- never happened did it John? No one ever found a single fact of its existence. You made it up. You made up a horrible story of prejudice using your adopted daughter -- nothing much lower than that John. The media pressed forward with it because they liked you -- or more to the point -- they liked you better than your opponent. Now you are shocked that they turned on you? Your a nasty little man John. They are nasty little people John. You two made a nice couple. But then again, you have your memories huh?

What? The Straight Talk has

What? The Straight Talk has been minimized with your pals John?

Awwwwww poor wittle McCain

Looks like McCain (D-AZ) has finally lost his REAL base. I wonder how is he going to get them going to get them back? I bet he tries harder to win them back than people in his own party. What a useless idiot.

You support the troops by supporting the mission! If you don't support the mission, have the guts to say you don't support the troops. And McCain, you DON'T support the mission by closing detention camps like Gitmo and allowing terrorists to land on our soil!

That's a good song, Ken. I

That's a good song, Ken. I have it on my playlist on my MySpace page.

But anyways...yeah, this day was going to come at some time or another. So predictable. McCain digs his own grave, MSM buries him, McCain and other RINO supporters wonder why, conservatives always see it coming.

Real conservative '12.
