Newsweek CW Boosts Clinton, McCain, Slams GOP Base as 'Nativist'

Newsweek's "Conventional Wisdom" column is a weekly window into the leftist soul of the editors at the weekly magazine. This week's CW is no different, as it insults the GOP conservative base as "nativist" while boosting Sen. John McCain, disses conservative Fred Thompson, lauds Hillary Clinton's "blood, sweat and tears" win in New Hampshire:

Blood, sweat and tears humanize her enough for N.H. win. But S.C. on 1/26 looks daunting.

From sure thing to even odds. Needs to show he can get waitress-mom vote.

Global warming is a scam by socialists to collapse capitalist economies. Hasn't everyone noticed, in addition to food, fuel and car cost increases, that the MSM jumps on every chance they can to "create" a recession? In these Fabian socialists' minds, after every crisis in the economy the federal government has an opportunity to expand its power. Global warming is a way to increase government regulation and control, tax rich countries to pay to poor (dysfunctional) ones (with UN apparently skimming the top), and decrease industrial production (particularly in the U.S., which has been deindustrializing since the 70s, and which reduced CO2 emissions in 2006, which no other major country did). Good post, and I concur completely.

As usual, this Newsweek column is a case of the MSM attempting to create the news instead of report it. Do news outlets like Newsweek not understand that a great majority of readers do not turn to their publication because they want to read "Support Hillary Clinton weekly"? I guess we are well passed conflict of interest concerns for these publications and into outright agit-prop. I find these kind of so-called "objective" columns by leftwingers absolutely disgusting.
