Hsu Indictment Not Big News to MSNBC.com, NYT, LAT

Hillary Clinton fundraiser Norman Hsu was indicted earlier today in a $20 million Ponzi scheme. I received a text message e-mail alert to this effect shortly after 1:30 p.m. Eastern. Given the heated lead-up to Iowa and New Hampshire, it's major news. In a 24/7 media cycle, it's inconceivable that it major news organization Web sites could not or would not give it top billing shortly after the news broke.

Yet at 3 p.m. today, a review of some major media Web sites showed no prominence given to the story. MSNBC.com didn't have a teaser headline for it until its "local news" box for WNBC, the NBC network's East Coast flagship in New York City:

Fox News, by contrast, had this tease prominently displayed on it's front page:

The Los Angeles Times and New York Times similarly lacked any eye-catching front-page teases or headlines.

Hillary Schultz?

"I see nothing.  I know nothing..........."

Absolutely hilarious!! My

Absolutely hilarious!!

My other favorite Shultz line:

"I lost fifty bucks last night." - Shultz to Hogan concerning a card game with the gang of Stalag 13.

As always, it's not what Shultz said but how he said it that makes the line.

No matter what Hilary says it comes out monotonic but an octave higher/lower and/or plus/minus 10 decibels.  She reminds me of the Saturday Night Live character Jacob Silj, played by Will Ferrell, who could not modulate the sound of his voice.

Robots sound more life-like than Hilary.

Killing them with kindness isn't working.  Time to get scrappy with the Donkeys.

Yes, her voice is droning yet strangely annoying.

< edit:  change monotonous to droning >

"what did you expect?" department

If this had been a Republican doner/money man this would be headline news for the next six months. The candidate would be tarred, feathered, and burnt at the media stake. But because its Hilary 'Ft. Marcy Park' Clinton it "wouldn't be fair to the candidate" to associate her with her dirty-money collector.

Let's see: There's a

Let's see:

There's a hostage situation at HRC's headquarters. She's not there at the time, has nothing to do with the resolution of the situation, except staying informed by telephone. When it's over, the media gather at a press conference to ask her all kinds of questions about what she felt, what she thought.....when she wasn't even involved in it.

One of her major donors, a man whose money she had to return, gets indicted, and the MSM has absolutely zero interest in what she thinks of it.

Amazing.

What's Up, Matt?

Drudge downplayed it too.  What gives there?

Maybe he got a Sicilian

Maybe he got a Sicilian message....

With Hill and pals it's

With Hill and pals it's just Norman Who?

I can't recall....I don't recall....that isn't in my memory bank....while the loot is in hers.

Thy hypocrisy in the msm never ever ends....if this was any republican let alone a candidate it would of already been investigated to the hilt and the person running or in office would already had a fork stuck in him/her and past done.

Look at it this way

If Hillary becomes President she can have the CIA overthrow every two bit tyrant around the world, claim she knew nothing about it, and be believed without a question being asked.

Now this would also mean of course that she would win the Nobel Peace Prize and have the MSM call for her re-election by acclamation, but hey, if it gets rid of Chavez, Imadinnerjacket, Kim Il Nutcase et al, it would be worth it, right?

It's not just the MSM.

It's not just the MSM.  What about the FEC?  Why aren't there any charges against Hillary.  What about the RNC?  This crook has been engaged in illegal campaign financing since the 1980's for goodness sake!

If you receive stolen property, it's a crime...why is this different?

Hsu: just another Clinton fall-guy....  Unbelievable.

"What about the RNC?" Matt,

"What about the RNC?" Matt, It looks like the Republicans are playing "the gentlemen" again. A lot of good it has ever done them. Can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot? Howard "The Duck" Dean would've been honking all over television about this...

All of her corruption

The MSM is ignoring ALL of the fund raising corruption of Mzzz Hillary (and her husband's, as well). It is most bizarre.

Reality imitates fiction?

Hsu, Huang, Tre, etc, etc.

Are we witnessing the "coming out" of the real-life Manchurian Candidate? The MSM ignore all the various fundrasing frauds and scandals and the fact that they all involve Chinese "imigrants" and Chinese nationals. And don't even talk about the Al Gore Buddist Nun fundraiser in 2000.

The fact of the matter is that if this had any connection to a republican candidate, it would be the biggest news story since Watergate.

The day that "politician" became a career choice is the day we started losing the Republic. Let's get it back! Fred08.com

Worse than Watergate

I remember Watergate and it was nothing compared to HsuGate.

Watergate was a mountain made out of a mole-hill by a Dem controlled news media.

HsuGate is akin to Mount St. Helens exploding and the MSM reporting that "a natural event occurred in a rural area of a western state."

Democrat Reporters have always been ugly when reporting on Republicans, but their willful conspiracy to cover up serious crimes committed by Dem Pols is beyond reprehensible and tantamount to treason when it happens during an election. They are bold and unapologetic in their corruption and they fear nothing. Some of them need to be given a one way ticket to Gitmo as an example to the others.

}}---> Watergate and Paris Riots

MSM reports on the riots in Paris but they dare not say much about the religious affiliations of the rioters.

All you hear is "youths" "poor neighborhood" "police not welcome"

We're supposed to fill in the gaps with our imaginations rather than expect the MSM to open themselves to public cries of Islamophobia.

I'd like to know...

...if Hsu raised money for anyone else other than the Clintons and the DNC and what those folks have to say his little scheme.

Why yes, he did...

And I am happy to reprint what I found and posted here:

So, Have you seen this list in the National News Media (MSM)?

Why not?

I found it, why can't they find it?

This couldn't be a "cover up" could it?

Nooo. How could that be? The National News Media wouldn't purposely
withhold the names of Pols. who took dirty money just because they are Democrats would they? Would they? ... (Gasp!)

Now are you still going to tell me that NONE of the above holders of government office, nor any of the committees, nor the Democratic Party knew that this guy was a fugitive?

Now THAT is a knee slapper!

As for what they have to say about it, all I have heard from them is crickets.

Next Question...

Where is all that stolen money now and why didn't the recipients give it back to the court instead of donating it to charity? To cover up guilt? Receiving stolen money is a crime and attempting to dispose of the proceeds of a crime is another crime. ALL of the recipients should be indicted. We need to get these criminals out of OUR government!

P.S. Thanks for following up on this story Ken.

The Spider Web (guess who's at the center)

[This bears repeating as well.]

"I can tell you with 100 [percent] certainty that Norman Hsu is NOT involved in a ponzi scheme. He is COMPLETELY legit,"

- Hillary Clinton's Campaign Finance Director, Samantha Wolf, in an email to a Democratic Party Official

...

Federal prosecutors in New York unsealed a separate criminal complaint
against Hsu on Thursday, charging him with breaking campaign finance
laws by giving to Clinton and other candidates in other people's names
and with running a "massive" Ponzi scheme to defraud investors out of
more than $60 million.

(emphasis added)

Extra Credit: What question was Wolf responding to??

Disgraced fund-raiser Norman Hsu did a lot more than just pump $850,000
into Hillary Clinton's campaign bank account: He also raised hundreds
of thousands of dollars for local, state, and federal candidates who
have endorsed Clinton or whose support she courted
.

(emphasis added)

...

In at least some cases, Clinton or her aides directly channeled
contributions from Hsu and his network to other politicians supportive
of her presidential campaign, according to interviews and campaign
finance records

...

Clinton's campaign acknowledged that they urged Hsu to give to fellow Democrats.

"We frequently encourage supporters of ours to donate to other Democrats -
Mr. Hsu was no exception," Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said in an
e-mail.

...

In other cases, Clinton helped direct Hsu's money to influential
politicians who have yet to endorse her but hail from key presidential
primary states.
