As a service to you the reader I'm watching the presidential news conference as covered on Fox News Channel. My goal here is to give you the questions the various reporters ask and if feasible, go back and clip video of the most biased questions.
Wrap-up, 11:27: There were no questions on the Hsu scandal and Hillary Clinton nor about Dan Rather's lawsuit, even though Memogate promulgated a bogus storyline intended to negatively impact Bush's 2004 reelection. The Jena Six controversy was raised by two reporters although it's had very little national media coverage. And unsurprisingly, no one asked about the Petreaus smear by MoveOn.org except Bill Sammon of the Washington Examiner (and also a Fox News contributor).

Suzanne Malveaux, CNN, 11:03: Thousands are marching in Jena, La., over a racially motivate incident... you've worked to bring blacks and Hispanics into teh GOP, but the immigration debate and republicans refusing to go to univision, morgan state debates, has raised concerns about whether the state of race relations is deteriorating in the country and your party. He just said "inflation's down."
September 20, 2007 - 09:55 ET by sarcasmoWe'll see... But with all these "print more money" bailouts both here and worldwide, count me "dubious" at best -- especially considering who gets to say what goes into inflation. IMO it's not down, it's "coming."

Comparision
September 20, 2007 - 10:02 ET by PawpawNSarc, how much were you making 7 years ago? How much do you make now? What was your portfolio like 7 years ago, what is it like now? What kind of vehicle did you drive 7 years ago? What vehicles do you have now? The ?s can go on and on. Is there inflation? Yes, but hasn't everything keep up or exceeded it!!
Answers.
September 20, 2007 - 19:20 ET by sarcasmo1-4 can be answered the same. By an annoying question, "In dollars, or in gold?" As for vehicles, pretty much about the same, Asian econoboxes get me around. But I'm not any sort of measure of inflation, even if I'm more-honest about inflation than the government which claims -- despite evidence to the contrary -- to measure it honestly. I stand by all my words, inflation's gonna be an "I told you so" issue, and from experience I'm well-aware that people simply HATE IT when I tell the truth about inflation and history...

You can't inflate your way
September 20, 2007 - 14:16 ET by Ten7sYou can't inflate your way out of a bubble economy. It cannot be done. Greenspan tried for years and is currently attempting to cover his ass from blame for EXPANDING the bubble and ignoring the securitization of bad debt taken on by craven, greedy lenders and doltish, greedy borrowers. Now this knucklehead Bernanke is trying to inflate us out of Greenspan's even greater mess and is flirting with monetary collapse. Today the Saudis said that they will continue to "peg to the dollar" meaning that they are starting to question the current arrangement. We're now seeing both inflation and deflation. Inflation is continuing at a normal pace in some areas and increasing dramatically in others like groceries and fuel. And our assets like homes and dollars are deflating. I'm not a Dr. Paul'ie and am just telling my fellow conservatives and Republicans: Pull your heads out of your @$$&$!
Do you think the 1/2 pt rate cut was enough to stave off reccess
September 20, 2007 - 10:18 ET by JayTeeDo you think the half-point rate cut was enough to stave off recession? ...
Isn't this a "When did you stop beating your Wife" question ?
It assumes a recession is eminent...and how come the only time I hear "recession" it is coming from a Reporter ?
where is a financial analyst/economics guy saying this ?

Wait...Economists say.....
September 20, 2007 - 10:37 ET by JayTeeOh, we DID get the view from the Reporter...via the "Econmists Say" question. As a Reporter, You don't have to back up anything you say ? You don't have to say which economist, What Recession prediction from whom ?
Obviously they are paying these reporters too much money, or they are so busy taking Video's they don't have time to Research anything, and if they research a question, they do not take notes on who is quoted in "Their Research"....
It is really comical reading the Questions by themselves here......if you left out the location of the Questions, it might sound like a 5th grade class asking their Teacher some high level Questions, or maybe in a College student class situation.
And this Question below......is an NFL question ?
"have the goalposts shifted on the surge?
I expect better from the Press Corps.....they need a PURGE, not a SURGE

Bring it on, Ahmadinejad.

ABC's suggests. We no longer do news!

One of the dumber (trick) questions asked...
What I wish the answer was:
Let me answer that Jim. Yeah it was a mistake. Now we're gonna dig him up, clean him off, inject him with Botox and pretend he's still alive, just like they did in the movie "Weekend at Bernies". Maybe that will restore order in Iraq.
What a dolt.
