Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs has an item today about an Arabic newspaper editor pronouncing his plans to dance in London's Trafalgar Square should Iran ever use a nuclear weapon on Israel:
Abd Al-Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the UK-based Arabic daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi, told a Lebanese TV interviewer he will dance in Trafalgar Square when Iran nukes Israel.
Bari Atwan is also a contributor to the BBC and Sky News, neither of whom seem to have much of a problem with this.

Sky News is a British sister network of the Fox News Channel.

Dancing to the Nuclear Glow
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 17:21 ET by Lame CherryThese Muslims never understand that nuclear weapons mean nuclear vaporization which cancerous side effects for generations for an entire region.
Muslims never figure out that if the Israeli state is hit that the IDF will not just stop at Iran, but take out Syria, Lebanon and various problem areas to clean things up. What will Jews have to worry about in contamination when all of Judea is a glowing dust cloud.
It is difficult when I hear this time and again from Muslims with not one recognizing the consequences of the Israeli state or America goes up then all of the Arab states do too.
Dance to that you dimwit.

Wed, 08/29/2007 - 17:47 ET by phaedrus4617I think they do understand - and that they don't care. They want Israel and the jews gone, at whatever cost to other countries. They welcome their own deaths, if it means they get to take many jews with them.
Twisted and evil.
If you value Peace above Freedom, neither will you attain.
Ahh, but they DO
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 18:31 ET by AvatarBut they DO. In nuking Israel, they are killing infidels, and the muslims that are killed by the fallout or are around ground zero will have died for Allah. Add to that, that if we retaliate in full force and obliterate them, they will have died in Allah's service. Therefore it is very much in their interest to do this, because no matter what happens, in their eyes, they win.

I'd prefer to slather a coating of cobalt-60 on this crock of a rock.
Sooner or later all moslems show up here, got to.
Entitlement over infrastructure every SINGLE time.
NUKES?
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 22:34 ET by danybhoyI think what you posted is an understatement. I honestly believe the IDF would wipe out the islamic holy cities as well, Mecca & Medina would be on the top of that list. I also believe that they would start target assassinations of people who are deemed to be a threat to Israel, this guy might make that list.
I think I will see nukes used in my lifetime, & as a betting man, Iran & Israel would be my bet to use them. Iran will be on the recieving end at some point, I just don't know if it will be as a retaliatory measure or if it will be a response to a very real implied threat. I would hope the good people of Iran dump the idiots who have been in power since 1979 before nukes come into play.

We should recognize reality
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 17:53 ET by c5thenThe USA and Israel are lumped together as one entity by our and Israel's enemies. Why not make a formal mutual defense statement, that each country will respond to an attack on the other as if they themselves had been attacked? it might not make the rabid extremists think twice, but it does lay the foundation for our total and complete retaliation when Israel is finnaly attacked.
And, IMO it is a when and not an if.

We have been and continue to
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 20:29 ET by jdhawkWe have been and continue to provide tactical and operational intelligence and supply war materiel to Israel. Without it they would have been over run many decades ago. For example, in 1973, when they were surprise attacked, if it had not been for the US coming to their aide, they would not have survived.
That editor from Al-Duds
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 20:36 ET by jdhawkThat editor from Al-Duds All-Arabia is wise in choosing London for his celebration. Because, I expect that his little party will be interrupted. Israel already has nuclear weapons and is not afraid to use them if warranted.
I am sure that the population centers of Iran are targeted. Following a necessary retailation, expect Mapquest to depict Iran as one solid sheet of sand turned into glass! And, the editor of Al-Duds to be mourning his relatives.

Sums it all up in one sentence.
Wed, 08/29/2007 - 22:58 ET by ViperWell, that certainly sums up the mindset of their values and beliefs in one sentence... "he will dance in Trafalgar Square when Iran nukes Israel."
And this, once again, from the "religion of peace"

Israel is there for two
Thu, 08/30/2007 - 15:47 ET by RepublicandoIsrael is there for two reasons (one is teh real reason, one is teh reason the want you to believe):
1. to provide the jews with a homeland
2. to provide the US and Britain (and their allies) with a base in teh middle east from which to try and control the region and to control the oil.
