Slate magazine found out that Rudy Giuliani's daughter Caroline has a crush on Obama.
Well, maybe not a crush, but she had joined a pro-Obama Facebook group and describes herself as "liberal" (but then that's also how many Republican voters would describe Caroline's father).
The article, complete with evidentiary screen grab, was written this morning by Lucy Morrow Caldwell, like Caroline Giuliani also a student at Harvard University. Caldwell has a profile on Facebook in the Harvard and Washington, DC networks, and has poor taste in sunglasses, as the screencap below shows:
Update (August 10 | 18:50): Apparently Lucy Morrow Caldwell was suspended from Facebook for violating the terms of service. You can read more about the Caldwell controversy at IvyGateBlog and Through the Magnifying Glass.

August 6, 2007 - 14:04 ET by Hero SquadLooks like the media is eating up the story that Giuliani's daughter is supporting Obama.
C'mon! I mean, I know they have a strained relationship, but even if for no other reason than to have a room at the White House, you should support your dad.
(Hero's Note: I posted this in the previous Giuliani thread, but it's probably more appropriate here!)

Typical know it all spoiled
August 6, 2007 - 15:18 ET by bigtimerTypical know it all spoiled rotten kid....hasn't lived any real life yet, let alone total responsibility for her own-self....of course that may never happen.
Look at Ron Reagan...he is still immature, let alone simply simple as far as I am concerned.
Respect for one's parents disappeared long ago in the political arena.
biggie, you're not saying
August 6, 2007 - 15:26 ET by balboabiggie, you're not saying she's spoiled and immature simply because she joined an Obama facebook group, are you?
boa... Nope. ...didn't
August 6, 2007 - 15:34 ET by bigtimerboa...
Nope.
...didn't even mention that fact now did I?
I think you understood my point just fine.
In fact I know you did.
LOL....
It's Rudy's Fault
August 6, 2007 - 17:32 ET by allanfIt is all Rudy's fault. What did he expect when he married liberal Democratic TV Reporter and actress Donna Hanover? When he ran for a second term, she hinted that she did not vote for him.
I believe their marriage finally ended when she announed plans to start in the "Vagina Monologues".
I gotta side with bal on
August 7, 2007 - 09:15 ET by BinxlyI gotta side with bal on this. The whole point of voting is voicing your personal *opinion* in whom you think will best support and push your views and stick up for the same ideals you believe in. If she feels Obama represents her viewpoint better than Rudy, why is it wrong she vote for Obama and how exactly does her differing politically from her father make her default a spoiled kid? Wouldn't a spoiled kid be the one who blindly supports their father MERELY for the sake of relation and because he keeps her financially supported? I love my parents both but I'm telling you, if I disagreed with my father politically and he ran for office, chances are I wouldn't vote for him either. Doesn't mean I'm a spoiled know-nothing, just means I'm rightfully and correctly exercising my right to vote for whom I feel best fit for the job.
A son or daughter that
August 6, 2007 - 15:25 ET by MidAmericaA son or daughter that disagrees with a parent? What a startling event!
President Reagan has a son who has made a good living by being different than his dad. The msm will promote any Republican family member that publicly opposes conservative positions.
So, I guess she is some
August 6, 2007 - 15:31 ET by drillanwrSo, I guess she is some strong indication we shouldn't vote for Rudy?
Actually, she's in the star-struck, "He's A Rock Star" mode when it comes to BHO. They tend NOT to vote on substance and foundation, but on looks. To them, looking good on camera and talking like a used car salesman is so much better for the country, home and abroad, than convictions on sovereignty and security and Constitutionality (the way the Founding Fathers wrote it). It's all image.
At 17, she can't even vote
August 6, 2007 - 16:38 ET by In ExcessAt 17, she can't even vote yet.
Hopefully, even if she
August 6, 2007 - 18:14 ET by Republic1Hopefully, even if she doesn't support her Dad, she'll still support the right of free speach--unlike a lot of her liberal Harvard classmates.
