Dan Savage Calls Gay Conservative Group 'House Faggots' and 'Pathetic' for Endorsing Romney
The blogosphere is abuzz today after anti-conservative bully and gay activist Dan Savage tweeted, “The GOP’s house faggots grab their ankles right on cue...Pathetic” in response to GOProud’s endorsement of Mitt Romney in the 2012 election.
GOProud, which describes itself on its website as, “the voice of gay conservatives and their straight allies,” voted last night to endorse the presumptive Republican nominee in his bid against Obama in November. Lisa DePasquale, the interim Chair of the Board of Directors issued a statement to the press, saying that the organization is, “prepared to commit significant resources to help make Mitt Romney the next President of the United States.”
Though many liberal Democratic members of the gay community have condemned GOProud on the grounds that the Republican Party has not been a strong supporter of gay rights, this outburst by Savage is especially telling, coming from the founder of the anti-bullying It Gets Better Project.
It Gets Better is intended to “inspire hope for young people” who are bullied because of their sexual orientation. Yet when it comes to fellow gay men and women having different politics than his, well, Savage resorts to harsh attacks that play off racist language -- house n****rs -- that has been used against conservative blacks by liberal African-Americans.
Of course, as we've documented previously, bullying conservatives is Savage's M.O. It's Savage who viciously coined a grotesque sexual term after a former Republican senator and it's Savage who gleefully admits that he tried to spread the flu to Republican campaign staffers by licking the door knobs of their campaign headquarters when he was ill.

Blacks relish using the "N" word, no doubt in part because non-blacks can't use it. Gays are playing out their own culture. At some point, straight white men may not be left with enough allowable words to be able to communicate.

Gotta love the Liberal attitude. You don't have an individual identity; all you are is a member of a group. If you're a woman, black or gay, then you MUST be Liberal because historically those groups have been allied with Liberals. The sad irony is that they love to portray Conservatives as the slaveholders, yet whenever someone breaks away from the Liberal plantation, out come the phrases "Uncle Tom" and "house (insert slur here)".
