Without the Media Filter: Marriage Marchers Speak Out
Tired of the media misrepresenting conservative Christians? Supporters of traditional marriage? We are too.
The Media Research Center covered the recent March for Marriage in Washington, D.C. and asked attendees to explain – in their own words – why they define marriage as between one man and one woman. Continues after video.
The National Organization for Marriage sponsored the second annual March for Marriage outside the Capitol on June 19. Self-described as a “vehicle for voicing the values of pro-marriage Americans in a way that cuts through the biased media narrative and demands hearing in the halls of power,” the event attracted thousands of traditional marriage supporters.
Whether in news or entertainment, the marchers also challenged the media’s portrayal of marriage:
