'Champions For Life': Super Bowl Winners Speak Against Abortion

There has been a lot of controversy over the Super Bowl ad featuring Tim Tebow and his mother discussing how she chose life for her son.

The ad is a simple sincere look at a personal story. Yet the left and the "feminists" have gone nuts over it.

23 years ago, The American Life League, one of the largest Catholic Pro-Life organizations, produced a short featuring members of the Super Bowl winning New York Giants.

As you watch former superstars Phil Simms -- the game's MVP and current sportscaster for CBS! -- Mark Bavaro, Jim Burt, Chris Godfrey, George Martin, and Phil McConkey speak out against abortion, try to imagine what the reaction would be to this film if it was made today.

The roar from the left would be heard from outerspace (video embedded below the fold):

Abortion

Legalizing abortion was the worst decision the Supreme Court has ever made. When it abandoned the respect for innocent life,  America lost its soul and it's been downhill since. All our problems can be traced back to Roe v. Wade. Sad.

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

Agree.

'Doubling down on stupid is not a particularly good idea'~Breitbart

Not the case so much as

Not the case so much as the radicals we had then. They started hitting on every front using their playbook "Rules for Radicals" and a few other supporting fiction novels.

"DumbAssity of Dope"

As I've Said Before -

With the advent of technology, there is no way you can say an unborn child at 5-6 weeks is just a blob of tissue.  That old, worn out feminist argument is DEAD.

Plus, the 20 and 30-somethings today now realize that their mothers could have killed them in the womb.  This is very disturbing to these adults, knowing that they might not be alive today if their monthers chose to abort them.

The pro-life movement is growing, because people are now listening to the facts, not to the lies of Planned Parenthood, NOW and other liberal organizations that hate the pro-life movement.

23 years ago I wouldn't

23 years ago I wouldn't have watched this video, the least reason being I didn't have any attachment to the players.  Now I enjoyed the video.

Two other comments:

  1. The NFL had to give permission to use the game video, maybe even the players appearances as well.  How likely is it this would happen today with active roster players or using game video?
  2. Anytime the Elway and Broncos are whipped, I love it.  I was rooting for the Giants all the way.  (Cleveland was beat by Denver in the AFC Championship game with "The Drive".)

And the idiocracy of it all is

"The ad is a simple sincere look at a personal story. Yet the left and the "feminists" have gone nuts over it."

They haven't even seen the ad yet! No one has other than the Tebows, the producers and crew, and CBS execs.

Won't they all literally brown out if it wins the most popular Super Bowl Ad contest/poll? Everyone here should cast your vote for it and urge everybody you know to do the same. That's what I'll be doing. Just the thought of heads exploding on the left if/when it winscracks me up.

To watch the left as they scream

24 years latter because a young man makes a stand makes me furious.  Freedom of speech is one of our greatest gifts but to the left it is ok until the message isn't what they want to hear.

CBS needs not worry about left.

Liberalism: The haunting feeling that someone, somewhere, can help themselves.
