The main thrust of the story is Obama's "distribution of wealth" policies, which Joe the Plumber extracted from Obama without Obama even knowing it.  Instead, let's play the politics of personal destruction -- how long before Joe gets death threats and has to move because it's not safe?

Then they say we're hateful, racist, and bigoted.  Physician, heal thyself.

The media has spent more time investigating a citizen than they have spent in 2 years investigating Obama. Now that's what you call journalism these days.

Hey, do you suppose Obama beat out Hillary in the primaries with voter fraud, since primaries generally have not nearly the scrutiny of the main elections, and it would have been that much easier to commit such fraud? And you would only have to do it in a few polling places in the battleground states, plus it would be a great rehearsal for voter fraud in the main election.

Isn't it funny that the democrats always find a way to blame an election loss on something other than what really caused it.  Mondale took a bad snoopy like picture, Gore and hanging chads, Kerry got "swift boated." 

If, and I hope it happens, Obama loses they will blame this plumber (Obama got flushed, the new Dem tagline?)  They never stop to think maybe it's because of their views and policies.  They never try to fix whats broken, they blame some inane happening or person and try again four years later with more of the same.

Me thinks a defense fund needs to be setup for Joe Plumber. He is like our David, a small lone figure on a battlefield, surrounded by our enemies and facing up to confront not one, but many Goliaths of the Liberalstines. The Issue

When it comes to sports, whether it's on the basketball court or on the ice, high school seniors Brit Schneiders and Raven Gary know what it's like to be the best.

Both girls star on Illinois state championship teams, but when it comes to the public schools they each attend, these two aren't even in the same league.

Raven's high school, John Marshall, is on Chicago's tough West Side. It's part of the third largest school district in the country, Chicago Public Schools, where students average a meager 17 out of 36 on the ACT - the all important college entrance exam.

But the average at Marshall is only 14. The graduation rate hovers around 50 percent. Less than 8 percent of Marshall students read at grade level and fewer than 3 percent are at grade level in math.

"I'm goin' to college," said Raven, who is an A-student. But she and her mom Sharon Williams say it's been a real struggle at a school that doesn't even have enough textbooks to send home with students.

"When look at other schools ... do you feel ripped off, and why do you think the country is letting that happen?" Bowers asked Raven.

"Maybe they don't see the big picture," she said. "We need the tools to learn."

At Brit's public high school just a half hour north, New Trier, there's no shortage of textbooks - parents buy them. And excellence is expected in this 4,000-student district, which spends $17,000 per pupil, compared to $10,000 in Chicago Public Schools.

At New Trier, some of the course offerings sound like those at an Ivy league University: Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Sequential Art and Animation, Zoology and scuba diving.

New Trier students average a 27 out of 36 on the ACT. The graduation rate is 99 percent. So is the percentage of kids who go on to college.

"How lucky do you feel when you think about what you're able to walk in and get versus what they're getting?" Bowers asked Brit.

"We're really lucky here," Brit said. "A lot of people at New Trier take it for granted - like I do sometimes. You don't think that a lot of people have it a lot worse, even in our own city, Chicago."

There's no question American schools are falling behind. The national graduation rate is only 70 percent, less than 50 percent for students of color. American 15-year-olds rank 19th out of 40 countries in science and 28th in math.

Seems like there is a passive aggressive attack on any speech that does not conform with the socialist state.  Most people will not say anything if they think their life or that of their family will come under scrutiny.  Communists don't have to kill the first amendment, just make it uncomfortable to exercise it.

I agree with BT and most everybodies sentiments here.  This is the inadverdent and unexpected "game-changer" that the McCain camp was waiting for.  This is what the media elites can't seem to understand.  Joe "The Plumber's" story is our story.  He's the Joe "Six-Pack" that Sarah Palin relates to on the stump.  Joe and people like him are one of the cogs that keeps this great nation running.  This is just like "Bittergate" in Frisco.  To the elite, anyplace between CA and NY is flyover country littered with those bible-thumping, gun-clinging bitter racists.  With the MSM on attack mode, I believe, this is going to blow up in their faces.  Read the transcript I posted below.  This is one of the reasons why they hate him.

"In Toledo on Sunday, Wurzelbacher told Obama that he was preparing to buy the plumbing company, which earns more than $250,000 a year, and said: "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?"

Obama said that under his proposal taxes on any revenue from $250,000 on down would stay the same, but that amounts above that level would be subject to a 39 percent tax, instead of the current 36 percent rate.

 That is NOT what he said! Instead of telling the reader what was said about punishing success and the redistribution of wealth, they just give another dem campaign talking point.

Obama's treasurer, Martin Nesbitt has tax liens, on himself and his businesses...bet you won't see that on ABC,NBC, CNN!!
