1. SCOTUS decisively ruled against Gore 7-2. Their second 5-4 decision that day didn't decide the election, but simply had to do with how to "solve" the mess in Florida.

2. If SCOTUS had sided with Gore, that would have made him even more of an "appointed" President than the evil Bush. That's because they would have been upholding the all-Democrat Supreme Court in Floriduh, which injected itself into the case without even being asked. It was their "appointment" of Gore that was the real problem; even their own Chief Justice said they were breaking the law by trying to re-write Florida election law after the election had concluded.

3. A media recount of the votes in Florida in early 2001 showed that Gore still would have lost, unless a very narrow vote counting standard had been used. Gore himself had already rejected said standard.

4. Gore would never have needed Florida's electoral votes to capture the Presidency if he had simply been able to win his own home state of Tennessee. It would have also helped him to win Clinton's home state of Arkansas.

The same people who have been saying they have no problem with immigrants all along. The better question is where the hell have you been? The issue is with illegal immigrants, not legal immigrants.

 Honestly,  it's as if she (Behar) has no sense at all.  This woman has some semblance of an education, doesn't she? If she is capable of understanding , she needs to look into SCOFLA.  They are the knuckleheads that allowed this travesty to continue as long as it did. 

But no matter,  GWB won,  and that as they say, is that.   

Somehow, this myth that Hispanics are such "staunch Republicans" has sprung up - fueled by Bush and Rove and their illegal amnesty ploys, for sure. I believe historically, some Cuban immigrants trended Republican, but that's about it.

I hear talk-show hosts (Laura Ingraham, you out there?) always spouting off about what "social conservatives" Hispanics are. Like illegitimate birth, abortions, rampant alcoholism, domestic partner abuse, welfare-taking, law-breaking, etc., etc. are the hallmarks of social conservatism...

How any media outlet can give this woman a seat at the table to talk about anything is beyond stupidity. She's rarely, if ever, quoted making an intelligent comment; more likely, it's some rant laced with venom directed at GW. Get over it Joy Baby, Al was a loser, and so are you; next subject.

Joy, How come it's okay for the Supremes to Rule on abortion, bussing, and all types of discrimination, but not to rule on a process defined by the US constitution?

They both did exhaustive counts of all the ballots and found independantly that the result would have been GWB picking up a few hundred more votes. Inconvenient truth, that. Heh? Not to mention that Gore wanted to start a re-count before there was any certified results to re-count in the first place. In effect Gore wanted a recount of the network estimates.

Then again, Behar doesn't probably understand anything to do with civics and how the government actually is supposed to work. All she knows is that she thinks her side should win all the time no metter what.

It has always been my opinion that to liberals, Florida 2000 was a bigger national tragedy than was 9/11/2001.  Nothing liberals have said or done over the past several years makes me feel any differently.  The United States is so fortunate that George W. Bush was the sitting President when the attacks occurred.  I shudder to think how badly off this country would be if that smug, incompetent robot had managed to steal the 2000 Election.  So keep licking your wounds over Florida 2000, fat girl.  You don't know how lucky you are not to have gotten what you wanted. 

Old, Retired and glad of it. The left wing liberals are losers several times over. They recounted the ballots so many times the wore the hanging chads off and Algorabge lost by more votes on every recount. How may times do they have to be proven wrong?
