MSM Claims Credit for Exposing Fake Iran Missile Photos

The Iranians doctored a photo adding in a fourth missile, to cover up a failed one. The blogosphere exposed the manipulated photo. Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs was the first to the scene. However, the New York Times blog, The Lede, is taking credit for exposing this even though their report was given much later. FOX, obviously slacking on research, also credits the Lede.

Ace sums it up the best:

I’m not sure who exposed it, or how much credit Brian Ledbetter of SnappedShot should have (he was filling my email box), or LAHawk, but I can see that Charles Johnson exposed the picture as a photoshop at 9:00 PM Eastern last night while the NYT filed the same story at 9:00 AM this morning.

Whether CJ (Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs) deserves all the credit, I don’t know. I do know the NYT deserves little of it, and ought to stop claiming otherwise.

If chuck at LGF weren't such an asshole, I might feel bad for him.  It gets old watching him act superior to his members, calling them names and outright banning the ones that prove him wrong.  What's the point of a discussion if the only people left agree?

I'm kinda torn.  It's great that he is able to spot stuff like this, but it's pretty obvious when you look at it closely.  The fake missile has a halo for Pete's sake!  But the problem is that he gets credited for this and labeled as a conservative site so when people go there, most of what they see is religion bashing and thinly vieled racism.  Not just muslims, but it appears that if you belong to any religion, you are viewed as a zealot over there.  It's literally a mirror image of Kos.   It makes true conservatives look bad.

No GC, this is how stupid the Iranians are. They photoshop a picture and tell themselves nobody will know. I mean, they cant tell the difference.
