Hey Media: Lets Take a Look At Obama’s Other Radical Friends

  • Bookmark and Share

Hey MSM! Since all has been forgiven by most of you for Obama’s warm friendship with the radical racist and anti-American conspiracy nut Jeremiah Wright, and many of you are crowning him, once again, as the next JFK or Lincoln for “bringing the discussion of race to a higher plane…would it be utterly presumptuous of me to suggest that this should lead to opening a few more cans of worms? I mean, since most of you, with few exceptions, have decided to ignore the lies and contradictions revealed through Obama’s speech and instead trip over yourselves to focus on how “courageous” and “eloquent” his speech was…I’ll concede…let us move on, because there is plenty you have ignored that we can move on to. Jeremiah Wright is not the only radical company that Obama keeps.

You can start by researching his friendship with radical anti-war terrorists from the Weather Underground. Rick Moran has already done the research on Obama’s ties to these unrepentant terrorists for you, so it should be easy enough for you.

In 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of the district’s influential liberals at the home of two well known figures on the local left: William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

While Ayers and Dohrn may be thought of in Hyde Park as local activists, they’re better known nationally as two of the most notorious — and unrepentant — figures from the violent fringe of the 1960s anti-war movement.

“I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001.

These radicals helped launch Obama’s political career and just like he did with Wright, his campaign says that he condemns their actions. However, since the press have never pushed this, he has never publicly denounced them or their actions and as far as anyone knows remains good friends. Perhaps we could bring this to the public discussion. I’m sure Obama would be able to take it to a “higher plane” as well.

Once you are finished covering this, perhaps an investigative reporter could do just a little digging into why “hope” was found in the laptop of a terrorist belonging to FARC.

Oh, and we haven’t heard much about his friend Tony Rezko in a while. At least ABC exposed more contradictions from Obama on this weasel.

In the case of his relationship with Rezko, Obama has also been slow to acknowledge the full extent of his relationship.

It was only last week that he revealed Rezko had raised some $250,000 in campaign contributions for him.

The campaign had initially claimed Rezko-connected contributions were no more than $60,000, an amount the campaign donated to charity. Then the figure grew to around $86,000, and there were additional revelations that put the amount at about $150,000. Obama’s $250,000 accounting was a substantial jump and clearly contradicted earlier campaign statements that Rezko was just one of “thousands of donors.”

Rezko is now on trial in federal court in Chicago, charged with a pattern of bribing state officials to obtain various Illinois state contracts. Rezko has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Obama was initially vague about Rezko’s role in helping him buy a new home on Chicago’s south side. Unable to afford an adjacent vacant lot the seller wanted to sell at the same time as the house, Obama approached Rezko. Rezko’s wife bought the lot on the same day Obama bought the house, and then later, Mrs. Rezko sold the Obamas a strip of the lot which gave the Obamas a larger backyard.

Obama called it a “bone-headed” mistake but never revealed, until he met with Chicago reporters last week, that Rezko had actually toured the house with him and been deeply involved in the transaction.

Well, ABC is getting it off to a head start. I’ll be waiting, but not holding my breath, for the rest of the media to follow their lead. How many lies will the media overlook and ignore?

How about his connections to his cousin Odinga? The media haven't reported a peep on that.

Obama and his paternal 1st cousin Odinga, wanted to bring the whole of Kenya under Sharia law. Obama campaigned for Odinga in August of 2006,just before he filed with the US Federal Elections Commission for his presidential candidacy.

How about asking him why his website thought it appropriate to sport the New Black Panthers endorsement?

Wright isn’t the only radical friend of Obama, it seems to be common company he keeps.

I’ll quote Rick Moran to conclude:

Barack Obama is just another politician – devious when he has to be, vague when it suits him, and a liar when necessity calls. May this incident involving Reverend Wright open the eyes of most of those who have lost themselves in Obama’s rhetorical fog so that they can see who and what they are supporting for President of the United States.

THE SPEECH

What did his speech explain, other than "I'm a politician and want to be powerful and President, so I'm going to appease everyone in a short speech!"  Overlooked in the whole thing is he did not say GOD BLESS AMERICA!  Here's more on my take:  Yesterday's speech did more to set back race than anything in the last 14 years-only OJ did close to the same.  We now know that churches are spewing hatred of America, hatred of the white man, hatred of corp America, etc.  The candidate of UNITY has now shattered the fragile layer of race relations by never totally distancing himself from words of pure hatred.  His statement of not agreeing is too simple.  If you stay in a room full of fleas, you are not able to keep all the fleas off!  When you continue in an environment that does not change, it changes you, you do not change it.  Really what he said just reiterates some of what Repubs have said for years-programs to make things better do not work.  We the people believe it is people that make things work, not government!  He spouts about how the blacks and lower class whites have been put down by the rich-this is hatred speech.  Some blacks and whites have rose to monetary status because they did not believe they were to be kept by the government, but that they could, with the will of GOD and their own hard work, succeed!  He talked of lines in the emergency rooms of hospitals of people without insurance.  They don't have it because they won't pay for it!  Not because it isn't available!  He brings up Dr King, well, to borrow from someone else, BHO you are no MLK!  And what did the ASHLEY story have to do with anything.  14 years ago, let's see, Bill Clinton in WH.  Poor Ashley's mother had cancer[I'm sorry for her and her family], and he says she lost her job because she missed work and lost her health care.  Well if she had health care, it would continue under Cobra for a certain period of time.  Ashley ate relish and mustard sandwiches.  Did not any church know of Ashley and her mom's fate.  My church helps those in need.  It's supposed to be a story to inspire, but I read a sign recently that said, "Aspire to inspire before you expire!".  Good words to go by.  The Ashley story has too many missing components.  I've love to know more, know why no one helped in her neighborhood, church, etc.  To finish his story he says the elderly black man says only "I'm here because of Ashley", but never really explains it-was it because she went to his home and said come out, or was it because she related the story to him, or just what?  The speech was void of any real substance.  Lost in it all was his use of the church to talk politics-thought DIMs wanted no "church and state"!  He constantly threw in GIVEAWAY programs while saying welfare state has harmed us-total contradiction in own statements.  If Rev Wright's statements weren't so bad, why did the website of the church take off some of their mission statement, etc.-again total contradiction.  He stated all churches get into talk like this-never been to a church in my life that does and if they did I'd leave!  Says he could have just moved on and not addressed this-he knew that was politicial suicide-again total contradiction.  He says stagnant wages-where, didn't we increase minimum wage, because of unions, etc, people get raises every year.  He says jobs shipped overseas, well how about the reason why-UNIONS.  Didn't talk about overseas jobs that come here-take Toyota, & others for example-total contradiction.  He spewed hate talk himself about conservatives and Reagan Coalition, etc.-total contradiction to his supposed message.  Why say "a candidacy as imperfect as my own."  Looking for sympathy vote!  Then again went in bad welfare state then straight into govt giveaway programs-total contradiction.  Said Rev Wright had CONSERVATIVE ideas-wow, where did that come from-TOTAL CONTRADICTION!  When he said "We have a choice in this country", he went into listing OJ trail, Katarina, etc., all statements to inflame, racial statements-total contradiction to his message!  He spoke of shuttered businesses-but failed to note reason they're shuttered is because they did not keep up with technology, not becuase of anything bad-TOTAL CONTRADICTION.  He talked of HOMES taken away-they were taken away because the people tried to live over theimeans!-total contradiction.  His perfecting the USA statement lost the fact that we will not be perfected till we put the past behind us, learn from it and go on-the Old Testament is history, we learn from it-the NEW TESTAMENT gave us JESUS CHRIST and how to live.  He ended on some story that had no beginning and no end-no story.  And never a GOD BLESS AMERICA!    That's one man's opinion!

How in the heck did he type

How in the heck did he type all of that in the few minutes this has been posted? Was he holding it, waiting for the right post? I'm with you, I lack the patience and the eye strength for these epic comments.

Just Like Obits

No different than the practice of writing obits of famous people before they croak. Saves a lot of research and speed typing when the time comes.

Pick One

A.  He sat there for 20 years and knew nothing - he's completely clueless.

Too dumb to be President.

B.  He sat there for 20 years and knew all about it -  he's a liar.

Not truthful enough to be President.

Obama bridging the racial divide? really???

It seems to me that if Obama wants to bridge the racial divide he spoke about, the first place to start would be his own church and his own friends and associates.  If he cannot even do this among his own friends and mentors, then how in the world can he do it for the whole country?  I believe he will in fact make things worse when it comes to race, because of HIS choices and judgments in the company that he keeps.  But hey, I'm sure the media will point all this out....

Right, but not holding my breath...

You are absolutely right here...the first place to lead is among those close to you.

But I'm not holding my breath on the media thing....

Just think..

Most voters have probably not even heard of Obama's friends, associates, mentors, advisors, or even Wright (all of the above), and his polling numbers are already tanking.  How long to the general election?  Weather Underground, Rezko, Wright, Farrakhan, other radical 'pastors' (Al Sharpton), who else?  Let the vetting begin...

It seems he did rein in his

It seems he did rein in his wife so she couldn't do amy more damage.

"Forget change, I want improvement!"

Now that's leadership..

Actually, I probably could not accomplish that...

reign

Sure you could, if she was as hungry to be the first lady, as Michelle Obama is. It's the same way HRC reined in Bubba.

I really think that questioning others' masculinity is a game probably better left to people who haven't had more cock in and out of them than a Tyson Chicken regional distribution center. AceOfSpades 06162007

I thought this article was

I thought this article was about Obama's other Radical friends.

All you did was list two we've already heard about (Rezko & Wright) and two other weirdos he met one time.

Where's the revelation? Big head line, no delivery.

»→ Leon

Should your Klan affiliation (if existant) not be open for discussion if you were running for President?

Cool, I'm merely

Cool,

I'm merely commenting on the fact that the headline promised revelations, but the article delivered nothing.

We
already know about Wright and Rezko. The headline implied the
article would be about OTHER radical friends. New ones we hadn't
yet heard about.

Instead all we got was a fleeting moment between strangers. That doesn't count.

»→ Leon

What has been unearthed about his Weather Undergraound connections?  I've missed it.

♣ a seal

Cool, Nothing. That's

Cool,

Nothing. That's what makes this article so disappointing. He met two of their members one time

That's it.

As
I said before, the headline said OTHER RADICAL friends. Other
being the operative word. Meaning new. Not the same old
Rezko and Wright nonsense we've heard about ad nauseum.

Having read the headline, I hoped for me in the article. The Weather Underground story is a joke.

»→ You're right Leon

I have a lot of trouble caring about Bambi's other contacts.  Obama has demonstrated a hatred of me because of the color of my skin.  He's trivialized himself to Sharpton status now.  Only color I see now is red.

Waaahh Waaaah It's so

Waaahh Waaaah

It's so ha-ha-hard being white in America.

I'll
tell you one thing. This primary has firmly cemented the right
as the party of whiners. Whiny conservatives. It's great.

Such victims. Ha.

»→ White in America

Whining is OK for a little while.  I've moved past it.

I think if enough of us get together to condemn Obama's racism, he'll understand the error of his ways.

He could've been somebody.  He chose his current state quite recently.

Leon...you need to stop...

Leon,

Grow up. Stop thinking in terms of black/white, gay/not gay, man/woman......and start thinking in terms of humanity. This country has made GREAT strides in comparison to others when it comes to equity. The one thing that is missing is that it is OK to accept the culture and NO LONGER join in the imaginary suffering....and that is because it is presumed to be a "white culture", or "upper class culture", or " heterosexual culture", whatever your imagined exclusive prejudiced opinion happens to be today. But if one studies the background of our culture here in America nothing has been more important, influencial, or necessary than cross culture, multi-rascism, transgendered influence. Yet it seems the only folks not accepting that are those who seek to gain from its downfall. That my friend is sad....very, very sad....and Dr Martin Luther King, et al are crying tears for all America.

I cannot imagine this country not accepting a worthy candidate to our highest office...regardless of color, sexual orientation, or gender. What I do see is America questioning a candidate, regardless of color, for racist proclivities that scare us... we ALL want to believe in the dream...but now it is being torn apart by those who gave it to us. I have never been sadder...more ashamed...and more scared than I am tonight. This should not be about whitey, or racism, or class warfare. It should be about love and patriotism, growth, and humility. Let's face it...the liberal and segregated populations of this country don't want to move on...because that would mean we are all really equal....and then what? We would have to face our own inadequacies....and for many that is just too hard..and they would have to run a political campaign on a real issue....something they have no desire to do.

I am crying for our country this week. We have not grown up. Only grown angry...and now it belongs to those whose ancestors have worked so hard to get so far. Shame on them. Shame on us all.

Leon, if you're bored here

Leon, if you're bored here with all the Wright/Rezco "nonsense", why don't you go play quietly in your room?

Chris, I'd rather not.

Chris,

I'd rather not. I'm quite comfortable on the couch in the living room of the house that I own.

And I keep my toys in the basement anyways.

"Rezko and Wright nonsense we've heard about ad nauseum."

Does that mean you are fed up with these pukes Leon, or does "ad nauseum" mean "it didn't happen" ?

"There are two types of people in this country; those who provide freedom and those who enjoy it." MM says...

Old Stuff

I have to agree with Leon.  It's just recycled old news.  I was hoping for some new revelations.  The Ayers and Dohrn stories have been out there for weeks.  What about a story on this guy Pastor Manning in Harlem blasting Obama?  I guess nobody wants to touch that (except Drudge).

Still Ignored By Media

First, it doesn't matter how old the news is...the media have still barely covered it.

Second: Follow the links and you will learn that there was more than just "they met one time" on the Weather Underground.  There is a long history of their relationship.

John, 1) It has been

John,

1) It has been covered in an appropriate fashion for a nonstory. People do know about it.

2) The media have barely covered it because there's nothing there. It's a ridiculously insiginificant story.

3)
We all know there was no relationship. I followed your links and
now I know why you posted what you posted. There is nothing so
you posted nothing.

But wait. Let's pretend the
links did contain damning information about the Obama - WU
conspiracy. Why wouldn't you mention it in an article where you
promise to deliver us OTHER radical friends. Wouldn't that have
been a bit more exciting than your description of a brief
introductory encounter?

The Media

The media are trying to paint this as if this is his only tie to anyone so radical, and they are forgiving it and lavishing puke worthy praise over his speech instead of asking tough questions that remain.

The "other radicals" are delivered here in the article.  The point is that he has a habit of making buddies with them, and if proper media attention was paid they would connect the dots to show that.

John, You listed 2 people

John,

You listed 2 people he has actual connections to and two
people he met a single time. To you this indicates a habit
of making buddies with radicals. Quite a stretch.

That's
like me holding up the picture of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with
Saddam and then claiming he has a habit of befriending ruthless
dictators.

Leon: Here's some reading

Leon: Here's some reading for you from the Rezko trial.

To think that such politicos as the Gov. of Illinois are involved and Obama is clueless is to "suspend disbelief". But I'm willing to wait until the whole thing plays out. However, by the time the whole tale is told, the election could be over.

I am Queen Mum and I approved this message.

Thank you.

NoMore: Rush played some

NoMore: Rush played some clips of Pastor Manning today.

Whoo! Pretty harsh stuff. A one-on-one with Rev. Wrong would be quite entertaining - and exotic. However, such an event would have to carry a parental caution. (sarc on) Or we could have Obama give a speech beforehand. That would take care of any objections to the content. (sarc off)

I am Queen Mum and I approved this message.

Baggage by any other name....

Let's think about this for a minute as if the revelations about Obama were about ANY republican candidate.....

Would that be the case the Pastor, the financial "adviser", the wife and her comments, the public affialiations of the Black Panthers etc....all would be drilled down our collective throats as racist, money grubbing, political suicides.

The double standard, because so many are afraid of being deemed racist, or afraid of being dubbed politically incorrect, is wrecking havoc on common sense.

Barack Obama is nothing more than a con artist. He is simply trying to make us hear what he needs us to hear so he can be elected, not for this country's well being, but for his own personal ego's satisfaction. Hillary is no different....and we are all screwed in then end...

And our MSM is feeding right onto it...you have to wonder why.  What is in it for them? As they seek to assuage our "collective guilt' over slavery, being poor, sexual "inequality", gay rights (and all the other non-traditional sexual proclivities that go with that category), most of us sit back and go..."hey  I am TRYING to accept this...but when I do, I am STILL wrong"...why is THAT?

Two reasons: 1.) the media means nothing without controversy, therefore what is controversial makes money for them, and 2). that philosophy pays the coffers for every lib in America......stands to reason the two are married...whether for love or money is the real question.

I say money...

And while our "economy fails" the MSM thrives. The bastards won't see Obama fail. It means they have failed too....

We are all in a great quandry....and we need to grow up...not care about what "people think"..ditch Obama, the MSM, Hillary...and maybe even McCain...and do the right thing...unfortunately that would require maturity and intellect...the two things Pastor Wright, Hillary, Obama, Olbermann, Matthews, Sharpton, Schumar, Howard Dean, anyone who votes in Florida or Michigan, any Hollywood denizen, most terrorists, all union members,  or  the general public who believes what they hear on TV cannot do.

Good luck folks. You vote for Obama and you set the culture of this great country back 48 years. How sad. Since most of us respect humanity, regardless of color. Reverse rascism is the issue here. Socialist rhetoric is the issue here. There is no freedom...only class warfare...social indignation....rebellion with NO cause. May God help us all...we are in grave danger. Not from Obama or McCain, or Hillary...but from ourselves....

"All great change in America begins at the dinner table" Ronald Reagan, Jan 21, 1981

Let us not forget Obama's

Let us not forget Obama's brother Abongo Obama and his cousin Ralia Odinga, leader of the fundamental Islam opposition movement in Kenya

It seems Obama is trying to

It seems Obama is trying to shove more things in his proverbial closet. That Black Panther logo that WAS on his web site is just a mirror of the KKK. If the media demonizes the KKK then they must also repudiate the Black Panthers.

Sean Hannity was all over

Sean Hannity was all over this months ago. And...he was onto Rev. Wrong a year ago. I wish he would get the credit that he deserves.

Hopefully, Obama's Weather Underground terrorist friend will whip up a new frenzy. This is so much fun....pass the popcorn!
