I probably should have identified in my post why non-Blacks would still support Obama.

As others have pointed out, there may be a widespread disconnect between what non-Blacks think goes on in "Black" churches and what actually does happen.

At the crux of this issue is why certain Black clergy utilize this inflammatory rhetoric, why their congregations accept it as "gospel", and why none of this vast disconnect has been publicized to the American public before.

Like the MSM and Dems crying how we are in a Recession despite flimsy and incomplete corroborative data and the American public believing/feeling we are in a Recession, so too do the hatemongering preachers lead their congregations into believing/feeling disenfranchised and victimized further, the end result is further alienation, contempt and self-fullfilling prophecies.

I see all these players working on the Change part, little for the better IMO, but don't see all that much Hope from the apologists, opportunists, mudslingers and haters.

Instead of the message and accomplishments of Martin Luther King's unity and hope, we are now once again dealing with the strains of alienation, bitterness and division of the Eldridge Cleaver styled Black Panthers.

Interesting point, Hughie Newton and Bobby Seale, two of the originators of the original Black Panthers, eventually rejected pure Black nationalism, viewing it as a form of Black racism.  Instead, their ideology was to welcome all racial/ethnicities, ie international socialism masquerading as multiculturalism, and fight against oppression for any and all.  Their motto was "Power to the People" and reflected their internationally inclusive ideology.  This created a division with those wanting to keep the focus solely on Black issues (Stokley Carmichael and Eldridge Cleaver who's motto was "Black Power", denoting their emphasis on just Black people.), culminating in the splitting of the group and ultimately the dissolution of the Black Panthers.

Make no mistake.  The original Black Panthers were a violent group, though their violence was directed at the police/government and competing groups and not at White people in general.  The Panthers worked with the primarily white Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the Youth International Party (Yippies), and even the Gay Liberation Front.   The same can not be said about the desires of Eldridge Cleaver (who preferentially raped White woman as an "insurrectionary act" after "practicing" on Black woman in the ghetto) and his gang.

The Cleaver story is notably a bizarre tale with his kidnapping of hippy-dippy professor Timothy Leary in Algiers, conversion to born again Christian, renouncing the Black Panthers, converting to Mormomism, and finally becoming a Republican who endorsed Ronald Reagan and ran for public office!

Truth is stranger than fiction, my friends.
