John Stossel dares to question the conventional wisdom of liberal minds and MSM on the topic of global warming in the following video.
The heartbreaking part of this report is to see the reaction of the children being interviewed. They have obviously been indoctrinated with only one side of the story to the point of fear. When asked where they learn this, one kid points to Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth."
One point that John takes apart as factless is that even if global warming is real, that it is man's fault. Despite recent developments, man can't control the weather, much less the climate.
John points out that there is another side to the story and that too often the scientists that have tried to tell it have been silenced and threatened. As John says, "Give me a break".
Even though folks like Al Gore say "the debate is over", the debate is long from over. The only reason it appears so is because the critics are too often silenced.
What liberal bias? Watch the video here.

The sad thing
October 21, 2007 - 15:48 ET by JackrvThe sad thing is; those who need to watch this won't. Those who agree with Mr. Stossel will watch it.

I don't necessarily agree
October 21, 2007 - 16:00 ET by fosstenI don't necessarily agree with that. Sandwiched between a story about Lance Bass and some other tripe, this might have slipped by unnoticed. Stossel is compelling - he has a quality of believability that surpasses that of Cronkite.
By the way, John Stephenson, please correct the spelling of the word "inconvenient." Don't want people to think we are a bunch of schmos.

October 21, 2007 - 16:06 ET by botgfor posting this. As i've said before i hope this can be a start in at least an acknowledgement by the MSM that there really is another side.

Let's Play "Who's The Nazi?"
October 21, 2007 - 17:21 ET by NoMoreClintonsfolks like Al Gore say "the debate is over"
Why is it that liberals and their fellow travelers always want to silence those who disagree with them? And they have the nerve to call conservatives "Nazis". We all know who the real Nazis are and they show their true colors every day.

Localized Urban Heat Island

I was one of those kids in the 70's that worried about the next ice age.

October 21, 2007 - 19:21 ET by dahliatraversYou know, you'd think they'd be pulling for global warming rather than global cooling. Global warming gives people less need and less excuse to wear fur coats.

It's all about the Children
October 21, 2007 - 19:39 ET by pbthinkerYou have to watch these liberals when they talk about the children. It's obvious they've found a way to indoctrinate them, to their way of thinking, and it's going to be difficult to make them look at the truth. Those that made this possible are the real culprits. It's one thing for Al Gore to produce a movie, it's quite another for the kool-aid drinkers to force it upon our children. Where is the parent, in the U.S., that will stand up and say NO, and force our schools to put disclaimers in front of this movie.
On this issue, we're going to have to depend on foreign countries to bring us the truth.

It just seems to me...
October 21, 2007 - 21:24 ET by heldmyw...That the MSM is 'missing the boat' here.
Here is a contentious issue, not involving good news from Iraq, valiant troops, or triumphs of will, morality, faith or charity...
...And they're not playing it for all it's worth!
Shouldn't a clever news channel drag extreme viewpoints in and, sitting like clever little Buddhas, let them slag each other off for the entertainment of the masses?
They could come off looking 'even-handed', 'non-judgemental', even don the mantle of 'education for the great unwashed' as they referee this non-event! Just keep the ball in play. You've got, what, between 10 and 1000 years for the real data to come in.
Get FNC on the line! I have got a plan that will reap billions in dollars, millions in viewers, and leave the moderators not only squeaky clean, but...elevated, and not one scintilla will be manufactured, hoaxed, or otherwise compromised.
Think of the photos! The videos! The trips to far-off tropical islands, reefs, glaciers, and so on... The boondoggling will be fantastic!
Dibs on Executive Producer!
I want Hi-Def everything, STRICT rules of debate (except for when it gets juicy, then clubs, axes, and shotguns), massive amounts of David Attenborough-quality video from REAL FIELD SCIENTISTS with no 'axe' to grind one way or the other.
We'll be boiling this down for everyone from the Kindergarten debate society to GreenPeace, the Sierra Club, Knights of Columbus and any PBS station with the cojones to take some real debate!
Millions!
(Is Brit real busy? I don't think Shep has the gravitas, and Gibson? Meh!).

October 21, 2007 - 22:01 ET by dahliatraversGood point, they are missing the boat not debating it like they do most other issues: one spokesperson pro, one spokesperson con. It would be awesome television.
