Another Palin Hit Job: Newsweek Cover Claims Former Alaska Governor 'Bad News' for Everybody

Sarah Palin's new book "Going Rogue" is set for release on Nov. 17 and with that will likely come a media blitz of epic proportions. However, based on the cover of the Nov. 23 issue of Newsweek, someone felt a response was warranted.

The wizards of smart at Newsweek took an image from a shoot of Palin that originally appeared in Runner's World magazine for the cover and splashed the headlines, "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Sarah?" and "She's Bad News for the GOP - and For Everybody Else, Too."

Mike Allen of Politico previewed the cover in the Nov. 14 edition of his "Playbook." In it, he included these comments from Newsweek editor John Meacham who blamed Palin for Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., struggles with his conservative base in South Carolina. One of those struggles for Graham was his acknowledgment that climate change is a manmade phenomenon in need of a so-called "compromise," And that backlash is somehow former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's fault:

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

"What Obama advisers privately refer to as ‘Palinism' has created a climate of ideological purity inside the GOP. To deviate from the anti-Obama line at all -- that is, to acknowledge that politics is the art of compromise -- risks the censure of the party. Pure ideologues will argue that this is a good thing; others like, say, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close friend of Palin's onetime champion John McCain, think differently. Graham was denounced last week by the Charleston County Republican Party for working with Democrats on issues such as climate change; the senator's office replied by invoking President Reagan's belief that ‘elected officials need to find common ground and work together to solve difficult problems.'"

Meacham went on to fret over Palin as a far-right figure and how her popularity has created an environment where "centrist" political figures in the GOP aren't willing to work with the Obama administration "for fear of a backlash from the base."

Left-of-center sensationalism isn't unprecedented for Newsweek magazine covers. Earlier this year, the brain trust at Newsweek declared us all socialists on their Feb. 16 magazine cover. And as Tim Graham, the director of media analysis at the Media Research Center, said then, "the only Newsweek cover that would be more obviously untrue would be ‘We Are All Objective Journalists Now.'"

Obama is running our country into the ground, the Dems are using the Constitution as toilet paper and.....Sarah Palin is a problem?

Fringe Publication

Newsweek is becoming more and more of a fringe publication. It would never treat a member of the libreral cognescenti in such a demeaning manner.

This cover tips their hand,

This cover tips their hand, even to the uninitiated.

"Bad news for the GOP" - if that were true, they wouldn't say so!

Bad News

Sarah is bad news for the Democrats, faux Republicans and Newsweek.

Palin is their heads and

Palin is in their heads and they can't get her out...

Besides being a psuedo

Besides being a psuedo intellectual, John Meacham will be known as the man who managed Newsweek's demise. Kudos John!

Fantacy

I decern a certain whiff of pheromones in the air here. Just imagine the bound and gagged fantasies these libs have for Palin. "Oh yes Mistress, tie me tighter, spank me harder', lol. She's under their skin, bigtime. And Maddow is crazy about her.

Thunder Thighs

This is going to sell a lot more issues than a cover of Hillary " Thunder Thighs " Clinton in shorts. Just wondering how many of those extra large female Dim senators and Reps. are crying over this picture as they eat their second Big Mac. Don't they want Republicans to be like them.

Contact Newsweek

You know, it might be helpful to the editors of Newsweek hear from conservatives, via their webrag, and let them know just how helpful they are in bringing people together on the Palin issue.  I don't think they have any idea just how instrumental they are in getting people galvanized through her.  More publicity...more opportunity to get her opinions out there.  Liberals should be thanked for their tireless efforts in wiping conservatives off the face of the earth, especially when it backfires so beautifully.

You know they're scared...

...when they do everything in their power, fair or unfair, legal or pushing the boundaries to the razor edge, to destroy someone.

This obsession over Sarah Palin has earned the moniker "Palin Derangement Syndrome."  The left is infected, in bad need of anti-viral drugs.

One has to ask, "Why are they so scared of a little housewife from Alaska?"  The answer?  She connects with people.  She speaks to the people, not above them.  Its a sign of her respect for the people; she knows who she works for.

Something extremely rare in any liberal Democrat, and non-existent in Obow-lower-than-your-ass-ma and any of his minions.

Yes, She Is a Problem For Liberals

Socialism is failing once again and Sarah Palin is able to cut through the smoke and mirrors and succinctly point out its failures.  Every time she speaks it takes the publics focus off of the side shows and refocuses them on the failures, libs have a huge problem with that.  I am a huge Palin fan and I love the problems she is giving them!  Palin 2012 - im all in!

Oh, Newsweek, isn't that a rag along with the other trash mags I see when I check out?

They are afraid of her

Unreal

Why don't they just change the name of their rag to Obamatopia?

Having said that, isn't it nice to not have the Palin spammer here to annoy us?

I hope he fails, too.

Yes, J - so glad PT is gone, gone, gone.

So much talk about the two parties compromising and 'working' together.... Heh.   How come there is never, ever compromise from the left towards the right?  Nevermind, I know why.  Nonetheless,  Mrs. Sarah is the best bet for the future of our republic.  I also hope she is attracting other conservie politicians.

Am trying to talk my 25 yr-old son into running for some local stuff.  He is super knowledgeable and can hold his own in any political conversation.  I keep telling him we need more young conservatives.

I am glad PT is gone, but other wise, I kinda liked arguing with him.

Keep On Him

You are right, we need young conservatives.  Start at the local level and run on tried and true conservative common sense principles.  There are legions of people waiting to get behind those young people who would dare to lead.  Thats why Marco Rubio is rocketing to national prominence.  Conservative Americans are sick and tired of going to the polls with no real choices.  Liberal or liberal light.  We want conservatives!  Get in there and fight and you will be surprised by the army of people that will get behind you!

Winston Churchill ~ "Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy."

You said a mouthful, BigSpoon.

*tap tap tap*  Is this thing on?

Seriously, that is spot on.  Am going to continue to prod him to run for something.

Keep us in the loop, BO

And good luck to your son!  We need bright young conservatives.

I hope he fails, too.

I love it!

She just scares the living hell out of liberals, socialists, marxists, and pinko commie bastards everywhere. You can't buy this kind of publicity. The more they talk about her the more people will begin to investigate on their own and find out the liberal news media corps is out of touch with the American public. She is keeping these poor idiots up nights. The more they complain and whine the more powerful she gets. God is like that, he uses the simple things to confuse the "wise" (complex). Next thing, they will be turning on each other. I love it and makes for great entertainment.

couldn't agree more - she scares the heck out of them.

however, i don't expect her to run in 2012.  she could be a major player in the presidential and gin up support where the party needs help, and be a keynote speaker at the convention.  in the meantime, just don't commit either way and leave the msm guessing.  it'll drive those idiots over the edge!

swing hard in case you hit it.

“[I]t'll drive those

“[I]t'll drive those idiots over the edge!”

In my opinion they are well over the edge already.  Consider how they are reacting and responding to Hasan, Afghanistan, unemployment, immigration, you name it.

- Relying upon the State Run Media for your information is like relying upon an embezzler for your portfolio management.

- I didn't leave the Republican Party; the Republican Party left me.

The only problem with that

The only problem with that cover is that I don't look like that, and of course the text.  But democrats know the answer to the question on the cover, you lie about her, smear her, and listen to the ravings of the unemployed piece of garbage that fathered her grandchild and pretend he has credibility.

‘Palinism' has created a climate of ideological purity

Oh, yes. Let's not get involved with any ideological purity. The Dems sure don't do that. >not<

The Democratic party has its own ayatollahs—okay, not Islamic, because that would be insensitive—group of Furies who patrol the highways and byways of the culture and politics.

If you give any careful consideration to the pros and cons of abortion, Euteroine will blast you with a flame thrower and melt the paint off your arguments, your organization, and your affiliates. If you wonder aloud whether affirmative action and the doctrine of disparate impact are misguided and probably causing more harm than good, then Melancthene will whip and scourge you with hair and barbs seasoned in Hymietown and New London. If you propose that religious symbols be displayed during major holidays, Expurges will throw acid on you and disfigure your heart and ideas.

Yeah, yeah. Ideological purity is a bad idea for the Republicans. It should definitely be left to the seasoned professionals in the Party of Asses.

Ideological IMpurity

The problem with Liberals serving as our Mutaween of ideological purity is that Liberals are so completely impure.

- Relying upon the State Run Media for your information is like relying upon an embezzler for your portfolio management.

- I didn't leave the Republican Party; the Republican Party left me.

Well, I mean, she's bad news

Well, I mean, she's bad news for the Republican Party.  She's basically good news for the Democrats, I guess.   But maybe Newsweek thinks her death panels quip was bad news.

If she does actually get elected, she'd be good news for America (in the sense that a Democrat wouldn't be elected).

Lookism v. Lookee-ism

Who is making all the goo-goo eyes at Sarah Palin? The Left. They're the ones with a fixation on photos of her, whether a genuine image, like this one, or faux images, like Dylan Ratigan's har-de-har-har episode on MSMBC. The Left disparages Fox for the "right wing babes," implying that they were hired to provide nothing by eye candy, that they're too good looking actually to be intelligent.

My eye. Your eye. Plank. Mote.

I'd call those oglers of the Left Pharisees, but some might think it's inappropriate to compare the press to a religious person, and some might think I'm slurring a Jewish figure, and others might think it's some crypto-homophobic zinger. (Think about that last one. <g>)

The left loves to make fun

The left loves to make fun of the women on Fox News and pretend that they are inconsequential.  I love watching when one of those limp wristed liberal metrosexuals tries to go toe to toe with Megyn Kelly and she dismantles them like cheap dorm furniture.  there's nothing like a woman with Beauty and Brains.  Madcow and Garofalo are still 0 for 2.

Remember, Garofalo is not her name

It's an acronym. It stands for

Go Ahead, Roll On Floor And Lick Olbermann.

Palin makes liberal heads explode..film at 11:00

If we had a way to calculate how much money Barrack Obama is spending on the 2012 campaign we would be into the high billions by now, and who is he running against?  This little bucksaw from the state of Alaska who has invested her efforts on a Facebook page and writing a book.  With just that at her disposal Sarah Palin causes Barrack Obama to get all wee weeded up and launch the left wing spin machine at full speed.  It is going to be such an interesting 3 years.  You go Sarah.

I'm ready...

After seeing what the "smartest man in the world ever" can do I'm ready for someone with leadership skills who knows how to govern people.

P.S. The last 4 presidents of this country have been Ivy Leaguers.

Ban them from higher office !!!  They are creeps...self reverrential and not nearly as clever as they think,  I am a proud Yale drop out after 2 weeks in 1969....I am also a proud Georgetown drop out in 1971....

One of William Buckley's wisest observation was that he rather be governed by the first 1000 names in the Boston phone book than by the faculty of harvard University .....and he didn't mean that in the context of his Yale backround vis a vis Harvard...he meant it for all Ivy League faculties...

Paarl of Rhodesia

Keep your pants on, Newsweek . . .

The liberal MSM are the men and women with Palinism -- a love/hate sexual fixation that has never subsided since Sarah Palin was first named to the GOP ticket.  She's more of a liberated woman than the elite feminists, and more of a man than the metro-sexual dweebs, and that drives them positively bat-sh**.

That's why when she's not even holding office, they are compelled to make her the political story.  They find her sexually appealing, but they despise her social and political views, and that combination torments them to no end.  They hate her for exposing their self-contradictory philosophies.

To avoid yielding to their urges, they are driven to destroying her, and in attempting to do so, they concoct all kinds of absurd evil about her.

Consider that they blame her for inspiring "ideological purity" in the GOP.  So, what's their beef?  If she is in fact marginalizing the GOP as they claim, then they should be her fans, not her enemies.

A quick personal story about Sarah Palin

Let me tell everyone a quick story about Sarah Palin.  I have a VA Nurse Practitioner named Kelly who has been a complete guardian angel to me and my family.  I have had 3 heart attacks in the last two years and never would have made it without Kelly's stellar care.  I can't explain in this brief post all that she did for me, but suffice it to say that she was (and is) wonderful.  In the course of our many conversations I found out that she shared my conservative views and was a BIG Sarah Palin fan.  I wanted to show Kelly how much she meant to me, so I wrote Sarah Palin a brief note asking if she could send Kelly a quick note thanking her for taking such good care of our veterans.  Now keep in mind that I was in Michigan and Sarah was running the State of Alaska and there was NOTHING in this for her.  Two days after writing Sarah I was watching the news when she resigned from the Governor's office, I was extremely sad and somewhere in the back of my mind I thought - well, no letter for Kelly then.  Imagine my surprise when Sarah Palin with all that she had going on at the time took time out to write Kelly a very nice handwritten personal thank you which Kelly treasures.  So say what you want about the woman, I think she is a class act.

Stay Free!!!

Pat: you just made my day -thanks for that

Pat: you just made my day -thanks for that

This is really suprising...

Patrick...What a wonderful story...

It really illustrates what a wonderful person Sarah is. Like you said, there was nothing in this for her...She didn't have to do this, yet she did. The insane lib media can do and say what they want about Sarah Palin, but those who support and admire her, recognize what a genuine and classy woman she is.

Let the crazed MSM and libs rant and rave on...The rest of us know the truth.

(Thanks for sharing your story, and I hope you are on the mend! Take care!)

"The problem is not that people are taxed too little...the problem is that government spends too much." ~President Ronald Reagan

Now, what would the MSM do

Now, what would the MSM do with a story like this? Does anyone think they would do anything more than read it with pure disgust? Anyone think they would publish it in a positive light? Or would they seek to trash it. Rather than just ignore it -- actively seek to use it to trash Palin? Sadly, I think I know the answer.

"mmm, mmm, mm. Barrack-Hussain-Øbama↓." - The liberals coolaid drinking song

Does anyone even read this

Does anyone even read this rag besides liberals?

The great thing about Palin is DESPITE the constant smears against her, the woman still is relevant and still gets the whiny liberals' panties in a bunch. I know not all Republicans believe she's the future of the party, but I'd vote for her in a heartbeat for president. The average person relates to her and sees through all the media tear downs. That can be effective when she wants to get an agenda through, because the public will have been conditioned to ignore what nitwits like Newsweek say.

Yes. Bored people in Doctors' and Dentists' Offices

That where they get what little readership they have.

I think Time, Newsweek, and

I think Time, Newsweek, and many others get there readership from waiting rooms, like you said.  Another is USA Today.  They're at the top of the list in newspaper subscriptions, BUT, every hotel room in the USA is a subscriber.  Take those away and it's toast.

What you say about USA

What you say about USA today is correct. But, recently, I've noticed a trend. Call it "unintended consequences". Instead of automatically delivering the newspaper to your door, the hotel clerks are now asking: "We want to go green; therefore, we don't want to deliver a newspaper unless you really want one". Of course, I say no. I wonder how this will affect the number of newspapers delivered to hotels in the near future?

Sarah Palin represents the

Sarah Palin represents the woman a man wants..a true man..

so the more popular she becomes the more vicious the people whom do not like her will react.  Palin will end up a role model of all the girls and those girls will no longer vote Democrat.

The conservative side now has attractive females to be models of the next generation to follow.   The leftt has all the tired old hags..none of which were true females to begin with.

Day by Day she grows stronger and day by day the libs grow weaker..

I like her because she

I like her because she likes to hunt and fish and she probably has her own Ranger bass boat.

X

I am sorts neutral about Gov Palin as a POTUS candidate. BUT all these attacks by Big Media makes me think...is there a better GOP Conservative candidate?

Well, no

As to politico I have no use for them or their comments...

Newsweek Must Really Be Hurting

For Newsweek to have such a blatantly anti-GOP, anti-conservative cover, they must really be running scared.

The Tea Partys and confrontations of congress and senators these last few months have liberals ducking for cover.  They don't know what hit them.

The average American is tired of the liberal rhetoric, and especially the liberal lies and attacks perpetrated by the mainstream media.

Magazines like Time and Newsweek are inconsequential now.  They don't have the clout they once did because of talk radio and internet news sites.  People know that these magazines are bastions for liberal looniness and don't want to waste their hard-earned money on such claptrap.

I hope Sarah Palin sticks to her guns and keeps right on going.  She is smart, knowledgable and made mincemeat out of Joe Biden last year.  She is the epitome of what a woman can do if she puts her mind to it, and yet the feminists attack her any way they possible can.

Liberals are hypocrites, and they are being exposed more and more each day.  Go Sarah!

The only reason I can think of, as to why newsweak

Is going out of their way to smear Palin, and a good chunk of America, is they must think this is going to rile up the liberals? Even this is a miscalculation of preposterous proportions.

Just wait, in about a year or two, some wack job liberal will be on these boards using this artical as proof of something. Just wait for it.

My Gov. thinks I am dangerous, so be careful

"Television is a freak show" Bernie Goldberg

So, by their own admission,

So, by their own admission, Palin has refocused the Republican party to core conservative issues, and that has the RINO's .....excuse me, "moderates" .... running scared.

What is the problem here again?

Lefty cheap-shot artists' days are numbered

Newsweek, you and the rest of the Lefty cheap-shot artists' days are numbered.

You in Congress, the White House,

"Obamacare"? Hell No!

Protect and Defend the Constitution!

Support Americans who serve!

Let the Economy Grow!

Shrink the Government!

Lower Taxes!

Balance Budgets!

Our patience is at an end! We're not buying the bullshit anymore!  Shape Up or Ship Out!

Common ground???

“To deviate from the anti-Obama line at all -- that is, to acknowledge that politics is the art of compromise -- risks the censure of the party.”

Ah yes, the “Stimulus Bill,” a paragon of compromise; “Cap & Tax,” another paragon of compromise; “ObamaCare” the ultimate paragon of compromise…

“Pure ideologues will argue that this is a good thing; others like, say, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a close friend of Palin's onetime champion John McCain, think differently.”

In other words, the more Republicans [in name only] align with leftist ideologues like Pelosi, Reid, and Obama, the better.

I forget, did Arlen Specter get Newsweek cover recognition when he clarified his “ideology” a few months ago?

“Graham was denounced last week by the Charleston County Republican Party for working with Democrats on issues such as climate change; the senator's office replied by invoking President Reagan's belief that ‘elected officials need to find common ground and work together to solve difficult problems.'"

Graham may quote Reagan’s words, but I challenge him to show what significant “common ground” he has in mind that is not essentially fascistic Democrat ground.

In the same way she boosts someone's ratings every time they mention her name (Couric and Letterman to name two has-beens), every time they attack her it draws more people to her defense.  Americans don't like bullies...plain and simple. Liberals are bullies...oh they like to defend the under dog to deflect that flaw, but make no mistake...they have to have the power to push people around to really feel any thing at all.  Squawking about intolerance while they bash any one who offers a word of disagreement..it's all part of who they are and why they self-loath as they do. But so long as they keep up this tactic, they are doing more good for the GOP than words can ever tell....so...to all those in the MSM, pretending to be so concerned about getting the 'truth' out there while furthering their own liberal agendas...THANK YOU. Keep up the good work.

That's IT! I'm now a 'Palinist'!

I've been searching for a political identity ever since the GOP 'went rogue' on conservatism.

'Palinism'...catchy!

Thank you, Newspeak.

The liberal elite are terrified of Sarah Palin.

They see that not only does she energize and excite the conservative base of the GOP, but she also appeals to conservative independents too. The liberal media attacks on her have been way over the top and completely obvious to even the casual observer.

The RINOs and the democrat moles that have infiltrated the GOP are worried that a conservative resurgence in the country will wake up enough people that they will be found out and ousted. People like John McCain and Lindsay Graham and Arlen Specter are realy moderate democrats ideologically. People like Sarah Palin and Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmen have awakened conservatives and started the Tea Party movement. Either the GOP is going to come back to it's conservative base or we will witness the emergence of a new political party in America for the first time in about 150 years.

Throw 'da bums out!!!

Before it's too late.

PALIN: Describing her

PALIN: Describing her resistance to federal stimulus money, Palin describes Alaska as a practical, libertarian haven of independent Americans who don't want "help" from government busybodies.

THE FACTS: Alaska is also one of the states most dependent on federal
subsidies, receiving much more assistance from Washington than it pays
in federal taxes. A study for the nonpartisan Tax Foundation found that in 2005, the state received $1.84 for every dollar it sent to Washington.

Sarah Palin's state sucks more off the Federal Government teet than it pays in.  She's a socialist.

~Oh well..

Who can resist that?

I'd just like to point out, Palin wasn't governor of Alaska in 2005.

Dipsh!t.

That goes for the idiot above, too.

In order to be pro-choice, one must first be born. Ah, the irony.

So you can rush to my defense? Is that the kind of polite you're talking about?

You're so eager to bash Palin you didn't even bother to think about the fallacy in that fool's post.

bazzar, do you think thatmaybe the forbidding of drilling of OIL

(which is Alaska's greatest resource) could be the reason they need subsidies??? hmmmmm?

Then you call her a socialist?

wowzers dude.

BW - do you have a link?

Since you did not provide a link, I'll take two guesses:

1. The federal dollars are courtesy of "Uncle Ted" aka former US Senator Ted Stevens, one of the biggest porker politicians, ever! (I voted against Stevens several times, to no avail.)

2. probably a lesser cost: Alaska receives a lot of federal dollars due to the high amount of Native Alaskans (belonging to the indigenous Indian tribes).

Wild West Reveal

I personally like when people reveal how trigger happy they are early in the game.  And it's especially satisfying when, with the help of no one from the opposing side, they shoot their on toes off.  Liberals are being flushed out left and right.  The ones trying to play both sides from the middle are being outed by their own stupid behavior.  RINOs, once comfortably tucked inside the Repbulican Party, are being shown for what they truly are and it happens effortlessly.  What we once SUSPECTED of the MSM, that they are extreme left radicals decidedly biased toward socialistic agendas, is confirmed with every little cover, every article, every comment made referring to anyone who disagrees with their dogma as dangerous, right wing, domestic threats to the liberal way of life.  They will not rest until we are without the ability to pursue happiness that doesn't depend on governmental mandates and laws.  The very notion of 'you can be any thing you want in this country' will have to be followed with 'so long as you want to be one of us...like us...in agreement with us...and without opposing opinions that threaten OUR way of life.'  Diversity is a beautiful thing so long as everyone agrees with the liberal way of life.  Diversity outside of that, by liberal definition, is racist, bigot, anti-American, redneck threat, and religious zealot (unless you happen to be Muslim.  Apparently the only religion that scares a liberal is Christianity. )

"The problem is not that people are taxed too little...the problem is that government spends too much." ~President Ronald Reagan

So Palin is responsible for Grahamnesty getting his butt kicked?

Wow!  Go Sarah Palin!!  She's even better than I thought.

Rush was right - yet again

Rush Limbaugh, concerning Sarah Palin and any other effective conservative, said in essense, this:

The liberals and Democrats will show us who the effective conservative candidates are to watch out for in the next election - by reason of who they try to destroy.

The liberal politicians and liberal socialist media are desperate to destroy Sarah Palin - never before have I seen such a naked and shameful attempt to assassinate an innocent woman based on nothing more than her political ideology.

They are scared to death of this woman - because by all accounts she is a true conservative.  And in a time when liberals and media are gloating that the GOP is 'dead', the last thing they can afford is to see signs of life.

I urge any and all leaders in the Republican party to ignore all the media wonks who are saying that X republican or Y conservative are a 'bad choice for the GOP'.  They're lying.  Everything they say is opposite day with them as far as the GOP is concerned.

You think liberal media and liberal politicians are your 'friends'?  That they're offering you advice because they 'care' about you and want to 'protect' you?  You can't be protected by someone who's trying to destroy you.  Liberals want you exterminated, dead, buried and sealed under concrete.  The last thing they're gonna give you is 'good advice'.

So they say Sarah Palin is 'bad' for the GOP?  That only means she's the right candidate.  Unlike the limp, wimpy nobody John McCain who ran his entire campaign like a concession speech.  Unlike these RINOs who 'cross the aisle' so often they may as well pick out a seat and stay there.

They're trying to destroy Palin - and that proves they're scared to death of her.

خال - Palin still scares Liberals.

Translation
: The MSM is scared silly that Sarah Palin is a female Ronald Reagan.

Little Known Sarah Palin Fact: 142 - That's how many Liberals Sarah Palin has made cry in the time it takes you to read this.

I noticed the "Blue Star"

I noticed the "Blue Star" banner on the Runner's World cover is pretty prominent, Newsqueak probably couldn't use the photo if they air-brushed it out (or if they did it would be to obvious). I think they made an effort to cover it with text, libs wouldn't appreciate seeing that.

I think it's time

After 233 years of old guys and one idiot, I think it's time for a woman to take charge. No offense to all my gentlemen friends here. I think it was Ronald Reagan who said, " the American people tend to elect as President one of their own, an ordinary man. Then that man must rise to the level of the position". Not many elected in my memory have "risen" to the position since Reagan.

My choice for the next President will be female and it will be someone who may appear to be one of us but will have that commitment to the country, proud and respectful of the office, and will "rise" with the strength and courage to meet the demands of the office. It may be Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann, or a complete unknown. Regardless, I'll be watching and waiting. Then in 2012, if arthritis permits, I'll be dancing in the street.

they're all over the map

hmmm the MSM libs are "all over the map" when it comes to Palin-- on one hand they desperately try to dismiss her as irrelevant to serious political discussion, then they come out with these kinds of postulations ("...how do you solve a problem like Sarah....") Well, dear MSM, which is it? Either Palin is irrelevant, and therefore not worthy of the precious space on the covers of your rags....er.....mags, or she is, perhaps? To me, this is just further graphic forms of whining on their part-- since they cannot put any of "their" kind (libs) on their cover, which would drastically cut sales of their mags at the airport newsstands and such, they resort to putting pics of people they know to be popular, and attach a hit piece on the inside, to cowtow to their "peeps"--

How do you solve the 'Palin problem'?

Maybe have Obama bow to her??

NewsWeek Covers Blue Star Mothers Flag

- I have Confidence in Sarah.

- NewsWeek deliberately covered over the Blue Star Mothers Flag in the photograph with their headline.  Sarah has the flag to show  support for the Blue Star Mothers organization and for her son Track.

Really?  Did it really

Really?  Did it really take Sarah Palin to show the world that Grahamnesty is a massive liability?  I would have thought that was obvious.  Please, Lindsey, leave the Party and join the Democrats ASAP.  You're an albatross of self-importance, and you'll be providing the Republican Party a huge service by sparing it your membership.

Some sort of public revelation of criminal wrongdoing, relating to their circulation and details about their deteriorating situation, is looming.
