Those who carry guns in their work don't look at them as akin to amusement rides.  The same with those who use guns to hunt.  Or use guns for self and family protection.  Guns are tools.  While it's true that many use guns for recreation, many also use hammers, saws and screwdrivers in the same way.  Responsible gun owners understand guns are tools to be used responsibly.  Even when used for fun, for recreation, guns are not comparable to amusement rides in any way.

 Allow! With what has transpired during the Obama regime, it's pretty clear that many Americans would be unwilling to have anyone tell them what to do with their guns. There is no constitutional standing for anyone to do so in the first place, and life threatening to anyone who might suggest it.

A gun is first for protection, second for recreation.  I cannot protect myself from a home invasion by storing my gun at the shooting range.

A couple of weeks ago, my daughter had her 12th birthday and I thought it was time for her to get her first rifle. After the party I taught a gang of little 11 & 12 yo girls gun safety, and how to shoot. After 3+ hours and 600+ rounds I had to cut them off, pretty sure if I hadn't I'd still be loading clips w/ cramping hands. It's of the utmost importance that parents take the time to teach their children values and skills that every citizen should have. Do you want your kids to grow up scared of bugs, unable to sharpen a knife, change their oil, or shoot a gun? Only You can prevent your child from growing up to be Rachel Fricken Maddow, who, like most libs has no life skills and is barely able to talk to real people.

 wotsizname   So you leave your gun at the range and then get raped and murdered on your way home because you decided your life and person were not worth defending.  Did you miss Phil. 201 Logic - The Science Of Correct Thinking?  Or maybe you never heard that life is a gift which we are responsible for preserving?  There's a neat little paper written when we had no government, it's called The Declaration Of Independence.  It notices that we are endowed (gift) by our Creator with Certain Unalienable (that means they are Primary) Rights, and that you can't take mine or their exercise away).  Obama said, "Just because you have a right doesn't mean that the state or local government can't constrain the EXERCISE of that right."  Thomas Jefferson said, " The God Who gave us Life gave us Liberty at the same time.  The hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."  ---- Not without the leaders establishing that the government is God.   In some languages the term "right" is defined as "power."  - If you don't have the power to enforce your idea, hou have no right.  The government then takes over as your God.  But  we have the right and obligation to protect ouselves, our homes and families, our communities, and our country against all enemies whomesoever.  Who are our enemies?
